    Wow, that lake looks fantastic! Great fishing....nice video again, and no bugs! Fish on!! How's your boat treating you so far?

      Lake was great, fishing was great, but there was a good amount of bugs. Definitely wasn't the worse but noticeable. The boat has been really good so far this year. I had my carb cleaned again for my kicker motor and that has been working nice for me. Fingers crossed. Have you been out fishing?

      @@KeepFishing Just got home from a 4 day trip to Pymatuning. Caught about a dozen walleyes and a ton of perch and bluegills. Sure was fun....and no bugs. I tend to stay away from Lake Erie until they clear out....or there's enough wind to keep them away. Glad your kicker has been working nicely for you.

    Nice. How long of a leader are you using on the dipsy's and what type of inline camera do you have? Does it affect the action?

    • @KeepFishing
      @KeepFishing 20 днів тому +1

      My leader is roughly 6 feet long and I am using the GOFISH cam. I think the action is affected a little because the lead I have for that camera is only a foot from the camera. I had to do make the lead shorter for the under water camera just so I can see the lure and fish better.

      @@KeepFishing i fish the Western side..I just added dipsys to my troll last week. They are awesome...less work than boards and divers. I thought they wouldnt catch fish, being so close to the boat but I was wrong.

    how do you adjust the depth your lure is at?

    • @KeepFishing
      @KeepFishing 22 дні тому

      There are several ways to adjust your depth of your lure. Using a simple deep diving crankbait such as a bandit, you would just let out more fishing line so the lure will dive deeper. Using a spoon or worm harness you typically would use a dipsy divers or jet diver to get your lure to the right depth. They both have charts on how deep the lure will go if you let out so much line. I explain some of this in my previous video as well.(How to Troll for Walleye on Lake Erie) Remember with any situation that changing your trolling speed will also change the depth of your lures. I hope this helps.

    What are you doing when you smack the butt end of the rod before reeling in the fish?

    • @lenamcmichael2989

      I think he's releasing/unsetting the planter board so he can reel the line in

    • @KeepFishing
      @KeepFishing 22 дні тому

      Having the planner board set keeps the board swimming to the outside of the boat. When you unset the board, it basically takes the line out of the clip. Some people do a quick jerk to unset the planner board. Hope that helps.
