Great video to watch on Dino's 90th birthday. Dino was and will always be the greatest entertainer.
I wanted to grow up to be like Dean Martin...It didn't happen. So I pour over as much of Dean's work as i can find and smile.
Dean Martin's timing in dissolving the partnership with Lewis was impeccable. Had he continued to make films with Jerry, he would have been continually overshadowed by Lewis' need to dominate the relationship. Martin's casting as the gambler Bama in Some Came Running was his breakout role; Sinatra was instrumental in his participation in the film. The follow up roles in The Young Lions and Rio Bravo solidified his ability to play dramatic roles effectively and he clicked in concerts as well.
MrImiller07 I think Dean made The Young Lions first, before Some Came Running. It was certainly his first successful serious dramatic role, after Ten Thousand Bedrooms flopped at the box office.
Everybody loves somebody sometime,everybody loves Dean Martin every time.
Such a delightful person and with a beautiful soul. Wherever he appears, he brings joy and laughter. A great entertainer ~ Dean Martin.

And just now the nicest thing to do, in the evening after having done all the internet-"things", is to watch Dean have fun on UA-cam!!

i have seen this a few years ago, and now i watched it again and enjoyed it as much as the first time. To sad that everytime at the end, the needle of reality pops the balloon of memory lane, and trows me back to this horrible present we live in.
today is sunday, and normaly i always go out, but today youtube came up with a vid from the rat pack, so i got caried away from one video into the next one, and that was more fun than the regular sunday trip to the bar, so i skipped that with pleasure.

jessie james To me, Dean was definitely much funnier. His humour reminds me so much of my Dad’s, and the fun and banter that I grew up with in my family.

Kaz Fleszar I remember reading somewhere that William was apparently some sort of engineer who helped to build the rockets that went to the moon (If that’s true, then I guess he was the brother who DID read books!), and I think at one stage Dean appointed him manager of his restaurant Dino’s. But other than that, I really don’t know what happened to him. It’s a similar story to Deans oldest son (by Betty), Craig. He did a stint in the army, and later was an assistant producer on Deans show for a while, but after that seems to have disappeared from public view. I don’t know if he’s even still alive, but if he is he must be in his late seventies by now.
