Btw, my Wandrd PRVKE bag probably has similar width straps. I was able to squeeze the peak capture clip onto it. It probably damaged the strap but was worth the function to be able to mount my camera there. I'm hoping with some forcing you'll be able to get that clip on.
@@xiingli it doesn't fit nicely, I don't want to force something that doesn't want to fit. It's upsetting that they didn't design this especially given it's not their first bag and on the Kickstarter they were answering: it probably will.
Great review and I like to use Wandrd DUO. Some points you mentioned is interesting. I also have PD 20L but they are different bags and different purpose. I use PD mainly for shooting days only. DUO is awesome for everyday use and even for cameranuse one camera and 3 lenses. Anyway great review. I posted in the Wandrd Facebook group to share your ideas and opinion
Oh wow you got both of them? PD Zip or the Everyday regular (I find it looks like a Cobra). At first I was upset when the PD Zip came out and thought I made a mistake. But the more I use the Duo, the more I appreciate it, but only in that context. How do you use it as an edc? You always have a camera and laptop with you? And which points did you find interesting?
@@GadgetsGearCoffee The magnetic would be a great idea:) Also you can put the Capture Clip. I use all the time... Just squezze a little and they the capture clip both bolt and put. I use for office without camera and when I need to put the camera and other stuff I just pop out the cube that s why the bag is pretty cool. First time I received I was like Humm weird. I have the PD 20L but that thing doesn't fit that much... For camera gear and quick access 5 stars beside that is a little bit uncomfortable. You can t use as laptop bag and putting other stuff without moving the velcro. So more I use the DUO it makes sense :) the idea is there.
@@innsvp ya it's a 0.5 inch too tight, you *can* squeeze the shoulder straps in, but I don't know what that will do long term to the straps and I feel doing so doesn't give the Capture Clip a strong hold because the strap is not flat, it's a little S curving between the 2 parts of the Capture Clip. Originally I was going to use this as an EDC too but it's more than I need for EDC and also, getting the divider perfect is kind of a whole process so I prefer not to touch it, it just sits in my closet until I need it for camera shooting and/or travel. So you don't have the Zip PD but the older version of the PD, with the top clip and the 2 side pockets?
For the capture you have to put lower of the strap not as high where you show ob the video and is prettt strong and safe. Right now I have the PD 20L v1, Wandrd Prvke 21L, Onemo Pgytech and PD travel Bag. For sling have the 10L, 5L and messenger 13I just sold the Boundary System Prima ( hate for camera use btw). For EDC PD 20L is not that good for my taste. But you looking for an EDC bag? I have been putting the DUO as edc and camera changing the cube. I got used to it and I got pretty fast to setup. The bag I like the most and I tested manyyy bags is Prvke 21L.. There is no better strap than that bag. Superrr comfortable. And also love the PD 45L.
@@innsvp omg that is a lot of bags! And I thought I had a lot. I'm running out of space in my closet condo. Where do you even put all that? lol Well the issue I find with putting the strap lower, is 1) I got boobs, I feel like that'll be annoying 2) I prefer higher up for better stability and weight. Having it lower, it'll feel like it's pulling down on it more than having it right near my shoulders where the weight is going more towards shoulder than back, if that makes sense. You'd think but no. I just checked. Quite disappointing. The wandrd duo straps are too wide and too thick. It can only sort of fit at the very bottom of the strap and that's not where you'd want your camera and clip to be hanging off of anyway
@@GadgetsGearCoffee Thanks for checking for me! I have this bag coming in, but was disappointed to hear that the clip won't work out. If I come across a solution, I'll report back.
@@scottrefugio5207 you and me (and probably everyone else) :\ yes let me know! This is why Wandrd is less "Refined" of a company. Compared to Crafted Goods, compared to Peak Design, they just don't go into smaller details. Overall I like the bag, but I'm not fully satisfied by it, it doesn't have that last 10% to consider, and all the negatives I mentioned in my video. And seeing as they're not a new bag company, I find this less forgiving. But when I am out and about, I am unlikely to use this bag unless I'm really lacking luggage space to bring out another bag. I'll probably use my Fjallraven Raven 20L bag (launching that review this week, stay tuned!), the clip fits width wise but doesn't actually fit because the Fjallraven strap is too thick. Quite problematic for travel because my PD strap doesn't work well from going quick sling to camera use mode when you have a backpack on.
@@GadgetsGearCoffee I was able to position the PD Capture Clip v3 on the strap on the 2nd chest strap anchor loop from the bottom. I only had to squeeze the width of the strap minimally for it to fit. On myself, the clip sits at a position on my chest that was already ideal, so I didn't have to make any compromises for it to work. Peak Design also offers longer mounting screws if the supplied ones are a bit short for the straps. This is something I'm considering as I would like the extra security.
@@scottrefugio5207 I don't like the idea of squeezing the strap to fit it into the clip for multiple reasons, but if it works for you, awesome! I'm still a bit salty about this. And that would probably sit too low for me + you know, boobs are kind of in the way 🤷
