    The real reason why has to do with Webster and preserving American culture and etymology. Not really about “being different” or “standing out,” more like “preserving” what is American from British cultural invasion which was rampant at the time.

    America sometimes does that as well, where it will have a ground floor and then a first floor just depends on a case by case basis

    It will depend on where you are. America is not the world. In México we define the first floor as the same as the British.

      “America no es el mundo” pues, sí. Simplemente para este video el estuvo comparando nuestro país con el Reino Unido, porque están estrechamente relacionados, al igual que México y España.
