Good review bro. Ive played this game 100s of times over the years since I got it. In close combat I kil thme like 95% of time. You dont mask the O button, you do it just enough to make the bolter deflect the claw. There is one animation thow that if it gos into you have no chance of stopping it. Its the one where it gos for your belly.
I have never played the Warhammer series (haven't even gotten around to Dawn of War yet), but I would really like to try the new Space Hulk game someday.
Question, why would you rather play the 3DO version over the PSX counterpart? I get the PC version over all but not a 3DO over PS1. I grew up in the 1990's as well and was/is a diehard gamer. I had both the PS1 and Saturn in 1995 the day the PS1 hit. I got a 3DO a bit later as I always liked it but never over a PlayStation. The 3DO was great for what it was in 1993 but it is considerably weaker than a PS1 or Sega Saturn and the N64 if we're counting them all. This game should run all thg he way across the board better on a PSX versus a 3DO. Hell, the 3DO had issues with textured polygons and with a much slower processor it's shouldn't be a question. I mean the PS1's processor ran at 33.3mhz while the 3DO was pushing 12.5mhz...no contest. They were equal in the RAM department and the 3DO had dusl GPU's but that still doesn't bridge the 20mhz gap.
I love the fact you are doing these older games!!! Rock on dude!!!
You get to that Space Hulk: Deathwing game yet?
@Saboteur4 Fixed and credited. Thanks.
