UFC killed wrestling in 2 ways. One is the fans can now see real violence of multiple styles instead of similated. Yes boxing existed but thats only punches. The other is the charismatic tough guys go into MMA now, not wrestling. In the 70s or 80s, a tough guy may try out a territory, but now he's in an MMA gym.

i was looking at the crowd and i know its nothing,but it appears most of the crowd are white guys under 45...theres hardly any kids or women esp in the first 10 rows...even back 7 or 8yrs ago you had more kids,women and over 70s...95% of the crowds are guys under 45y..

Well, personally I've moved on from wrestling , I stick to mma and boxing , cause initially, I was drawn into it by guys like HHH, Cena, Batista and Orton, but then during the rise of Punk I got turned off by the fact that he doesn't look like a physical threat to guys like Cena and Batista, so why is he world champion🤷🏾♂️ and I was 9 or 10 years old at this time, but I stopped watching , and I picked it back up when Roman's push began which was around and I loved the shield also, and I kept watching all the way to 2021 and Punk returned , so I thought to myself , let me see what I missed with his this guy cause I figured I might've been too harsh on him back in the day, and so I start watching AEW, and Punk starts his run with Darby Alin so I'm like aight cool that's a a good start, then after that was done with he starts wrestling jobbers every week and doing nothing of note, then he starts feuding with MJF and they bash WE every week and it burned me out so I stuck to watching the bloodline angle and it's doing good but nothing else is good on the WWE shows, then Cody jumps ship, then Punk gets in fights and gets fired, comes back to WWE then we end up where we are now with Punk and Cody as the main guys in WWE and there's no way I'm watching that cause there's nothing that screams "superstar" about both guys and so I haven't watched a full wrestling show since early 2022🤷🏾♂️
The reason why wrestling isn't popular like it used to be is because there's no important storylines, promos, correct bookings, and wrestlers are not working hard enough on their crafts and gimmicks that's why the television 📺 ratings is so low!
