Honestly, with this song Exo put themselves to a whole new level. For me it has nothing to do with that Growl and Wolf and Mama "Kpoppy " attitude and sound. This song is so well done in so many ways. Of course it's up to everybody's preference whether you like it or not. I personally like it because it shows that they try out stuff and that they grow up and change. The song fits perfect for spring and summer (even though I didn't expect it when I watched the MV but listening to it on headphones while riding my bike actually feels great haha) :D

k so my thoughts on the meaning of the video was that all the boys are separated into like cliques or squads or whatever (Chen and Xiumin - science nerdy boys___Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun - 'bad boys'/rebels___Suho, D.O Baekhyun and Lay - honor roll students/class president/cool/snooty kids) but they were all on the same football team hugging and dancing and shit and maybe that represents unity because even though they're all different they're like...'one' (eg exo's motto WE ARE ONE)and need to work together which also corresponds to irl where they've faced hardships w Tao Kris and Lu Han's exits etc and need to stick together and stay as one. symbolism af. love your channel! keep doing your stuff 👏👍
For everyone who is confused right now, the MV did have a connection, or a plot, that fans noticed. They had a subtle ALICE IN WONDERLAND theme. As to why, no one really knows, but here's the connections. D.O is Alice. He was seen passing through doors and standing between them, too, much like how Alice did. Lay is the White Rabbit. In the Chinese version, there was a scene where his left wrist was shown, and a watch was drawn there--probably to be noticed or to give more meaning than just casually wearing a real watch. Chanyeol is the Cheshire Cat, what with his striped black(violet? I'm not really sure) suit. Baekhyun is the Caterpillar. There was a short scene where he was sitting in a smoky room while holding something(??? my memory is quite hazy right now so I can't properly remember) much like how Caterpillar always sits with his pipe in hand. Xiumin and Chen together is Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. They're always together wherever they go, just like the twins. Xiumin is the Mad Hatter. Yes, he has two roles, because one would probably have been for Tao (considering that he is not out of the group yet, but that is another matter). The scene where he was sitting in front of a long table with glasses and how he seems "mad" with all the potion thingy confirms this. Suho is Alice's sister. Arisu Ral Suho is Alice's sister because he's the only normal one! Also in the scenes where he's with Kyungsoo and Chanyeol, Kyung was Alice and Chanyeol was their pet cat! Like in the one where Kyungsoo is sitting on that window shelf and Suho & Chanyeol are on the floor, it's mimicking the scene where Alice is sitting on the tree. Also at some point near the end of the MV, Suho is running around, which I guess means he was looking for Alice. I don't know how intentional these parallels are, especially considering how Boyfriend recently released their Bounce mv which is much more obviously Alice themed
