Major flood in Guangdong. Heavy rain in many places in Meizhou, Pingyuan County and Jiaoling County issued a red alert. Local media reported that the Meizhou Three-City Defense Headquarters in Guangdong Province upgraded the flood control emergency response.
Reported that a bridge in Dongshi Town, Pingyuan County, was washed away by heavy floods. The Dongshi City Government confirmed that the bridge in its jurisdiction was damaged. The local area is currently carrying out emergency rescue and disaster relief. Nearly 140,000 households in the city experienced power outages.
