YEP! I used my nieces and nephews as models for elf's and dwarf characters in photo's for mock-ups I did back in the 80's! I did not know enough about foreshortening and model placement to shrink or increase size for photo's so using kids for the presentation photo's for the clients. I do hope you keep branching out to full size creations and get that sweet gal of yours into an Elf Queen garment !

Hullo SLEW, I ran my freelance business for over 35+ years and the time saved using a projector is HUGE! Now if you cannot draw, I see why someone might be leery of using one. I can spend hours getting that perfect sketch, but why? I do not get paid until the artwork is done, so get it done as fast as you can! I date back to the opaque projector days and the newer digital projectors are another tool for artists to save time, which is MONEY! I feel the same way about graphite papers and light-boxes. You keep making that moola to get that new studio up and a going concern! Wishing you the very best and I know it will happen, I just hope the breaks, break your way!

Tang refers to the back end of the blade that continues though the inside of the handle. Pommel is the round thing at the back of the sword that you can use to end someone rightly. Pommel is attached to the tang to sandwich the grip and guard in place between it and the blade.

Love this thought I thought it would have been cool for the 3rd one to be a wizards hand so you would have a hero,villian and then a wizard character of some sort.either way I'm excited for the next one.
Shoot, thanks for that tip using acrylic for the outline then doing your base over that. I'll be using that for sure!

Cool series concept! I feel like the plate-mail gauntlets need a beefier sword, something with a wider blade and longer grip. The longsword looks too small and dainty in comparison when you hold it with one of those on your hand. (I know the longsword isn't actually small and dainty--it's pretty massive. But those gauntlets are *seriously* chunky.)
