KSI's defense of "There are other more important issues in the world, so you shouldn't criticize my product until we live in a utopia that is otherwise perfect" is just... Lame.
Yeah, if those issues are so important why isn't KSI using his fame and fortune to raise awareness and help those causes instead of selling Punchables?
Like humans can't worry about or act on more than one thing at a time. Extremely ironic since they are saying the whole basis of their product is to criticize another companies product.
Believe it or not, Lunchables are actually refrigerated. In stores, you find them in refrigerated shelf sections, usually somewhere in the back of a given grocery store, same place you can find your packaged sandwich meats, bacon, hot dogs, etc. The funny thing about Lunchly is that...you're probably going to want to buy Lunchables over Lunchly anyway. Because you actually want your kid to have MORE calories if they're eating it for lunch than what Lunchables gives you, not less. Calories are what give them energy to keep going through the day.
My question why would anyone give their kids lunch ables? As a kid I thought they were good. I had one last year because my cousin has kids and I tried one and I realized they're not that good.
@@garrysmith1029tbh I had one recently and yeah they’re ass. Though I do want to know the dark magic they did to make cold chicken nuggets taste good lol
Also, lunchables is much cheaper than lunchly. But overall better to just cook food. But if you're on a hurry, just give them peanut butter and whole grain bread.

@@lucyla9947 Yeah, good point. It's a weird situation -- the Prime makers saw that kids / teenagers were drinking sports rehydration / electrolyte drinks in situations where they really didn't need that. So they made a rehydration / electrolyte drink that's sort of better / more appealing (if we're charitable) at just being something that teenagers drink randomly. But of course, it still doesn't make sense to drink even a quasi-sports-rehydration drink randomly, and the changes made Prime much worse at actually being a sports rehydration drink.
I love how they keep mentioning the electrolytes being a part of a sports drink... So why exactly is a sports drink a part of a school lunch kit? Sitting in a chair for hours sure is athletic!
Even funnier is that prime is not even good for athletes either. The VASTE majority of em is potassium which most people get enough from their normal diet anyway. Sodium is far more important because you lose it from your sweat (that's why actual performance drinks like liquid IV taste salty)
You also need to keep in mind the parasocial relationship that these "influencers" have built up with their fans that they are also taking advantage of. That is different to a faceless corporation.
Please explain how it is different. Brands build these parasocial relationships as well like McDonald's and implementing play places and the McDonald's Land characters. They start building these relationships young. I would argue that in some ways the parasocial relationship between a brand and children consumers can be even stronger than those in their favorite creators. In reality they are both brands.
@@madeintexas3d442 Logan Paul and Mr Beast directly speak to their audience. They have an interactive platform. Big corps like Jack in the Box have mascots, not real people, interacting with their fan base. It's as real a kid's relationship to Spider-Man.

@@madeintexas3d442it is a lot easier to relate to an actual person, no matter how fake they act, than characters or faceless corporations. On top of that, Beast has a reputation of trying to do good, rather than say, maccas which is widely known to be unhealthy and generally not doing much good.

that's probably from the california proposition 65 warning. pretty much every company puts that on every product because the limits are so low that it's not worth not putting on their product so they can remain CA compliant
@@plinyvicgames It's not just a CA complaint. The FDA has/is doing an investigation on Prime as they found that one bottle of the grape flavor has 3x the amount of PFA's than you are supposed to orally consume in your lifetime. PFA's are toxic forever chemicals, which means once it's in you, there is nothing you can really do to lower your levels. This group of chemicals is very well known for causing massive health issues. A subset of PFA, PFOA, is actually the chemical DuPont released in the Ohio river which caused the surrounding residents to have significant increased rates of cancer and birth defects. This is the reason all grape flavored prime bottles have been removed from stores. It's basically bottled cancer. Edit: All that to say I would not put it past them to have other flavors with toxic ingredients as well.
The caffeine, fortified vitamin amounts and artifical sweetners are unironically probably more dangerous to kids than the lead or mercury. But Lewis is spot on that a lot of parents have no nutritional understanding, so fearmongering a speck of lead less than a pin dot is the only way to make parents worry.
I think they’ve missed the entire point of calories - THEY ARE ENERGY. kids need so much energy and it means nothing if your product is pumped with sodium and unnatural fats…
I guess cause it's part of his image. It's really hard to watch, and makes his response video look very childish, his argument is meaningless and he just yells loudly.
They're not wrong, people do HATE them. But it's because of the myriad scummy things they've collectively done and the constant targeting of those same things towards children. Like if the CEO of Lunchables had the same following of children and leveraged that influence to make money while poisoning kids, they of course would get the same level of criticism. The advantage that Lunchables has is their faceless corporate appearance that isn't actively popping into your kids' timelines at all hours of the day.
Ima keep it 100 this the first time I seen this guy and he has half a million followers impressive of course but calling him the king of youtube is a bit silly if he's your favorite that's fine but don't give titles that don't belong
I hate how they use the fact that it has less calories as a selling point, like what happened to "you've gotta eat your food so you can grow up big and strong"? Like, obviously lunchables itself was never a pinnacle of health or anything, but cutting like a third of the calories from one of the options while marketing it like it's suitable to be your kid's whole lunch at school at the same time is just awful. They kinda need those calories to have the energy to learn and play all day, that's literally the entire point of calories.
To build more on KSI, Logan, and Beast’s arguments against Dan’s statement, they’re mainly relying on fallacies Watching KSI’s response video showed multiple showings of fallacies like Strawman by saying they shouldn’t start companies, ad hominem by trying to make personal attacks on Dan and his community, and even showing relative privation by mentioning there are bigger issues. KSI isn’t trying to make genuine arguments, but rather manipulate the debate by making his arguments seem like they are valid when they aren’t

Ik, seriously! sports medicine minor here and the biggest red flag about this really is the wildly parasocial marketing and HUGE margin on the dirt cheap product. the whole moral panic over ‘children’s health!’ in this is silly. it’s like 6 crackers and cheese, why is everyone acting like this will give kids turbo-diabetes if they smell it? wellness-marketing-BS has such a violent death-grip on us Americans. we simultaneously have a trash fire food system but are also willing to crusade that feeding kids anything other than grilled salmon and unseasoned microgreens is basically poisoning them. Not saying adolescent nutrition isn’t super important but like. this overpriced box of crackers and chuckle-fck branded electrolytes is NOT gonna be a deciding factor in a kids health, let’s just stay focused on the actual sinister sh!t these guys are doing.
Only one of my toast is around 350 cal, its just raisin bread and butter, and I eat 2 for breakfest when its not 15 $ a loaf. If I had lunchly for lunch I would starve
A can of prime energy contains 200MG of caffeine. The FDA's recommended limit for *adults* is 400Mg. The recommended limit for teenagers is 100MG and the recommended limit for children is 0mg. Methinks that getting developing brains hooked on caffeine isn't a good idea. Edit: Apparently it's a non-caffeinated version. So basically just soda -- this of course begs the question of how it's supposed to be healthier than a caprisun or juice carton.

With the Electrolytes: The purpose of an Electrolyte drink is to replenish Electrolytes and help rehydrate after heavy sweating. And guess what? Most people don't sweat enough to need it. Give your kid an Electrolyte drink after a Soccer Game, fine, but they don't need it for Lunch. But also, Prime is a bad Electrolyte drink. The main Electrolyte you lose while sweating is Sodium, and Prime has a pathetically low amount of Sodium for an Electrolyte drink. 20 mg? Seriously. That's incredibly small, most people lose about a gram of sodium per liter of sweat. That's 50 times more than a bottle of Prime.
Advertising electrolytes in a meal kit is absurd to begin with. You know when electrolytes become important? If you're running a 10k and sweating like a pig. At that point, a hydration drink is actually going to be better than just water because you're replacing all of the minerals you lose through sweating (mostly sodium). That's gonna re-hydrate you more efficiently and stop you from getting a cramp. Though really, you don't actually need a specialized hydration drink. Take some apple juice, dilute it down with a bunch of water and it's gonna work just as well as gatorade. It really just needs a bit of sodium and a bit of glucose to work. Guess where you don't need added electrolytes: When you're eating a meal anyways.
Something even better is just milk, just drink milk ( or chocolate milk the difference in sugar is not enought to make it important) it hydrate a lot more than water
as someone who grew up going to public school in america i can confirm lunchables were very important to kids. all the cool kids in elementary (primary for yall) school had one. kids diets are definitely gonna be suffering once this really takes off.
I dont care that they want to create businesses. What gets me is calling their processed garbage healthy. And promoting it by shitting on, with over the top acting, the product they copied. Like copied exactly. And whats annoying is the doubling down. And also the timing on top of the other allegations. I also want to make a point no one else is making. UA-cam started out as the "authentic" counterpart to deceptive mainstream tv and hollywood. Where the honest little guy could succeed. So to Dan's point, yes, it is disappointing to see youtubers become the evil greedy conglomerates we were trying to get away from.
No I made my kids actual sandwiches with different fillings, including salad, a carton of fruit juice, maybe a wee biscuit, a bit of fruit and a bag of crisps, and a water bottle my kids are adults now, but I am sure I would have had bloody a phone call from the headteacher if I had sent my kids to school with just a luncher pack for school..Madness. I've watched all of the videos talking about Lunchly and about KSIs response, this is the one and only good video response about it on UA-cam. You stick to the facts "They didnt say this is healthy" but you also point out "They're heavily implying that its healthy" - Meanwhile everyone else is claiming that "They literally say this is a health product" but they're not saying that at all but as you say Lewis, they are implying that it is a good product or a much better product which should be criticized. also people always mention the two doctors that reviewed Lunchly and Prime and people will say "Yeah two actual doctors said your product is crap" but thats not remotely what either of those doctors said, Lewis is the first one to show the clip of the doctor saying what he actually concluded on "Its not a better enough product to be significant" which is to say, Lunchly is better but its not a good product and its not significantly better at all.
It's as real a kid's relationship to Spider-Man.

the funniest part is that some prime bottles allegedly have traces of BOTH lead and mercury
that's probably from the california proposition 65 warning.
pretty much every company puts that on every product because the limits are so low that it's not worth not putting on their product so they can remain CA compliant
I'm betting it is because they use "vitamins" that come from China.
20:38: Yeah, 31% for an adult. 7-9 year olds need around 750mg per day. One lunchly and that kid blew 95% of it's budget.
With the Electrolytes:
The purpose of an Electrolyte drink is to replenish Electrolytes and help rehydrate after heavy sweating.
I haven't seen your channel before but you already got a new subscriber in the first 15 seconds with that joke, Class.

I’m only a minute and a half in and I’m subbed. Brother, you got jokes on jokes on jokes, and I am HERE FOR IT.
Also, people are going so hard against those three for encouraging kids to eat their processed food instead of other people’s processed food when, here in America, *all the “regular” food is processed garbage, including most school food is just bags of precooked garbage and slabs of mystery meat and cardboard “pizza”*
It’s not good to emphasize the product as being “healthy,” but it’s not the biggest issue today.
Welcome aboard!
@@LewSpears glad to be here. Dw abt the edit lol. rambling
9:08 One of those crazy things includes Mr. Beast allegations too.
Anyway, This is the first video i've watched by Lewis and its the only one that doesn't get the facts blatantly wrong on this topic, Good video!
Anyone notice Lewis forehead is bigger than ksi 😂
Delete this
@LewSpears isn't he right though?
Bigger than KSI's forehead, or bigger than KSI?
@@LewSpears Lewis how is your hair more gray than a storm cloud. Are you ok and do you need help.
@@gordonfreeman7187 some people just get gray hair faster than others or are already born with it. It's genetics
They confused Electrolytes with Sodium.
