Man i love Ryan. Been running out of things to watch and I found house of cards. People commented on how Spacey on that show is like the "Heisenburg" of politics. But he reminded me more of a "Ryan O'Reilly" of politics. Man I miss Oz and Ryan, now I'm going to rewatch all of the seasons of Oz for the fifth time.
dean winters(ryan) and lauren velez (dr. nathan) had alot of chemistry on this show. i remeber reading an interview a while ago about how dean really liked lauren and that he even told a few people on the show that he was in love with her.
Rewatching Oz right now and what strikes me is how many *amazing* and hilarious lines Ryan has. He spits out the most inventive combination of pejorative expletives I've ever heard, and the delivery is comedic timing GENIUS. Gold, brother. Gold.

Ryan o reily is my favorite character on oz. Ryan had alot of enemies in oz. Such as vern schillinger, robson, dino ortolani, stanislofsky, jia kenmin and peter schibetta. Ryan always got the upper hand over anyone against him and gets away with it. Ryan is the numble one reason i watch oz.
You can see the writers pulling the characters strings. They don't behave naturally, rather than build a realistic plot around them the writers had them move irrationally from one plot point to the next.
@IrishDrifter85 only a few gulchies speak it full time but thats all... most people know a small bit though, personally i cant speak a fucking word of it lol
Ryan plays everyone like a bitch but nobody ever comes after him, he snitches on everyone and they still never come after him, he kills a man in front of a witness and never pays for it, he has his brother murder a woman's husband and not only does she fall in love with him anyway she hides evidence of another murder. One of my biggest complaints about the show is that you can see the wires, the only reason Ryan O'Reilly didn't die in season one is because Dean Winters brother is a writer.
