Bitty is obsessed with shipwrecks. It started with Titanic and now she knows details on every other ship that has gone down due to an iceberg collision. (She has checked out library books about ships, and also icebergs, plus a few UA-cam videos)... And since she keeps talking about it, everyone in this house also knows about all the historic iceberg collisions :)
Another thought I had about the fact that you don’t ever do sponsorships - I find it meaningful to learn what brands still send you PR knowing that you “can’t be bought”. I realize they still get something out of you just mentioning it, but it seems meaningful to me.

Can i give some simple advice and say TEST whatever you do and maybe even put some eye drops in your eyes in a test run 😅😅 because when i did my wedding makeup that was my biggest concern and luckily i had a good look! But whatever you do make sure you can cry in it!!!

Lash Paradise is my favorite mascara and was excited when they brought put the latte brown shade. Its still dark but when i do brown liner, brown mascara its definitely a softer look and i like that for some days and looks!
I bought my first shadow stick two weeks ago and I must say, I’m in love. It’s a darker purple colour because it goes well with my hazel eyes. So easy and very quick, stays all day. For anyone interested it’s from an Australian brand called The Kind Collective.

I have tried so much makeup but never tried the stick eyeshadows. You created a lovely look with such ease I will have to give them a try. Lash Paradise in black has been one of my top mascaras. Adding a brown tone to my collection is a plus. Having the little ones start school is such an exciting time. My grandson will be starting high school next week. Enjoy these days they fly by. ❤️❤️❤️
I have never really been a shadow stick person either until lately. I have been using them every day and absolutely LOVING my eyeshadow looks. This is how I do it if you don’t mind me telling you lol- I put a nice thick layer of a shadow stick like bronze or brown or even a rose color all over my lid and blend the edge just a little with my finger. Then I take a neutral brownish or taupe powder shadow and I blend that in the crease and over the edge of the shadow stick. Then I like to go back and put a bit of a shimmer or glitter over the inner and middle part of the shadow stick on the lid. It is so easy and it looks so absolutely gorgeous. I hope you enjoy using them and by the way Amazon has the Loreal sticks that Emily just showed for nine dollars which is cheaper than Ulta
Shadow sticks always seem great but I have trouble making them look right too. You did great.
I am sad the hard candy bronzer in summer tan I see you use and I am almost out of is not being made any more. I love that it doesn't look muddy on my skin like alot of bronzers. I think it is red toned maybe. If you have time can you recommend something similar toned that is drugstore priced. Thanks
I've found lately that powder shadow is starting to look too "powdery" on my 46 year old eyelids and was just thinking about trying stick and cream shadows. I've never used them and am a little intimidated. I was surprised to see this video this morning!

Use the brown mascara for no makeup makeup look. Lighter eyeshadow or just bronzer in the crease.

Good Morning, Em! I agree with you - more blush is needed. I really enjoy my powder eyeshadow more than creams. Cream works great for my mature skin on a daily quick out the door makeup look but I still get a more precise look with powder. I love your positive energy & still an honest review. ❤️

Hi Em! I’m a blackberry jelly girl! 💜 I’m getting my Laura Geller Kajal set from QVC today and can’t wait to wear them!! Agree those types of shadow sticks are best for lower liner. I use them all the time for that and mostly that. I can’t use L’Oréal lipsticks I’m one who wishes they would change that old rose scent. Have a great weekend! ❤❤❤

I always blend out shadow sticks with a crease brush, and I love how easy they are! These loreal ones look promising!
I tried shadow sticks because I thought they'd be quicker and easier to apply, lol. Using them as lazy liner was a great tip! I also like them as a one and done or use a light shade to cover the entire eye then switch to a powder for the crease and outer eye. Getting sticks with a sponge applicator or brush on the other end helps with blending.
I have the exact same issue or experience with shadow sticks. I want to love them and I understand it's supposed to be the faster application, yet it takes me longer and I love the looks less.

Raspberry seedless jam is the way to go. I like the L’Oréal lipstick in Blushing Berry. The smell doesn’t bother me, and it goes away.

Ooooh I love me some PB & J. Has to be Strawberry! Not saying I don't like grape, I just prefer strawberry. My son picked up some raspberry, a while back. Have not tried it yet. My life is incomplete without peanut butter. I buy the big containers. I'm not "Brand" snob, either. If its store brand, AWESOME! Otherwise, its Jif or Peterpan.

Everyone loves that skin tint. I literally threw it away because it looked so bad on my skin. Just sat on top of the skin and never blended. I’ll stick to the L’Oreal one! Thanks for a great video.❤
I’m going to pick up some L’Oréal shadow sticks. I think you should try using a brush to blend. Why a finger? You don’t do that with powder. Ugh! I had to go mobile with my makeup and forgot brushes! Yikes! 😱 It worked out ok but I don’t like dirty fingers. 😅 Love ya Miss Em😊
I second this sentiment. I love my shadow sticks, but always use a brush! The blend is so much better than a finger. I also prefer to use my shadow sticks as a one a done look.
I've always found a fairly thick blend brush works with shadow sticks a lot better than my fingers.
Always great to wake up to a video from Em, and some coffee. I agree about the highlighter, mine dried super quickly, and I had to be a bit rough with my skin, which I didn't love. Great video, once again!

I tried the essence shadow and liner sticks, I really liked the one I tried I wish they had more colors tho cause only one shade is a color I would use! If I get to a Walmart I've gotta remember to check out the hard candy ones, I forgot about hc all the time cause it's like at an end cap with a bit of wrap around one side! I'm having to shop my staff because I am broke right now but I used my coffee money to resupply my NAKED palette. Keep shopping that stash, it's helpful. This week, my makeup has slayed with my NAKED..SO HAPPY and broke. At least I will look good.
I used that concealer today for work. I really enjoy it. It's not so heavy. I really like the Natasha Denona concealer, but I could use it as a foundation! It's beautiful, but I wanted a little less today. You always look great! I'm also pretty obsessed with that Charlotte Tilbury glowy foundation stick. I'm sure it's the same thing as the Flawless Filter, but I feel like the stick fills in my pores even more. Which is needed!

My son has a severe peanut allergy, so we use sunbutter… it’s more expensive but it’s peanut and tree jut safe and I think it tastes wonderful!
Great video, Emily! I love shadow sticks, especially as my older eyes are becoming more hooded and mobile. My absolute favorites that I gravitate towards daily are from Girlactik. They are smooth and can be used with brushes, but they do not budge or crease. I love the formula! Girlactik has a great selection of products.
Golly, I believe your eye look today is one of my favorites. You look so very pretty. I love eye sticks. I use Tarte and Laura Mercierones but I am going to try these! I use them for lid and a liner. Sometimes I bring up on the brow bone and blend with a brush. I did see that highlighter try to dry on you! It left the first dot and you had to blend harder. Really you look very nice in this look.
I have to say I love your videos, probably been watching you since you started on UA-cam. Also for us dry skin people shadow sticks are where its at!! Powder looks patchy and dry, cream and liquid eyeshadows are so easy, doesn't irritate my eyelids from blending and don't show off my dry lids. I'm going to have to try these from Loreal.
The scent of the lipstick is from Grape seed oil……they were one of the first to use it and it is really nourishing. I personally love it and love that, like you say, it lets me know I’m using a L’Oreal lipstick 👍👍

The Essence Liquid blush looks wonderful on your face - it's one I would consider buying - it's natural and a beautiful color for you. I have found that what works for a camera shot (photo or video) looks a bit harsh when someone is standing just 5 ft in front of you ... During the day, especially, less is more ...

Emily, I think Loreal and Cover Girl eye shadow sticks are GOLD!!!! I also have the Fenty shadow sticks and I absolutely CANNOT get them to work. They dry down and do NOT move. How else would you recommend I use those Fenty sticks?!? (Maybe a good video idea???) Thank you for being here - we love you!

I’m having a PB&J fixation right now. Honey roasted PB, organic seedless red raspberry fruit spread on sunflower seed bread. Yes, it’s very specific but delicious. I have been on this kick for a year now. I can’t get enough.
Edited to say, I have read that Worth It and Worth It Medium are Pillow Talk inspired or dupes. I only have Pillow Talk Intense. So, I am not sure if it is a dupe.
I've been enjoying the L'orèal lipsticks lately, and I've probably purchased 5 or 6 so far. I already have Nars, Natasha Denona,YSL, ABH, Too Faced, MAC, Charlotte Tilburry, etc, but L'orèal and Revlon lipsticks are so satisfying, especially paired with a Revlon lip pencil.
Speaking of CT, the L'orèal Worth It shade in medium looks like the CT Pillow Talk. It might be a dupe!!😊
Will keep an eye on this new setting powder. Especially in the wake of the Givenchy Prisme Libre powder reformulation from soft blurring matte to shiny.😢

Hi Emily. I think to do a full look with a shadow stick it has to be blended out with a brush, it gives more precision than just using a finger, which works if you are only using one color, but even then a brush gives a better blend. As for the L'Oreal lipstick, the smell of them is nauseating. It's a shame because they come in such beautiful colors, but that heavy, floral, perfume scent makes them unwearable for me. I can smell them all day, and worse, I can taste the perfume.

Shadow sticks are meant to be easy and not for building shadow looks, i just swipe it allover the lid and tap a little to blend out the lid and im good to go, looks super natural, easy, quick, and makes it look like you put an effort in when you really didnt

Hey Em! Great to see you today (well, every day). I was watching you use the shadow stick as undereye shadow and I have been doing that with great results. I am OVER-JOYED at the new re-release of the Naked pallet and it made me want a "full eye" look. For me, that just really means finishing off my eye look with a bottom color which I often just forget but when I remember it and happen to look into a mirror during the day, I'm always pleased with the look. Anywho, just wanted to say hi and can you do some looks with the NAKED I have a couple of go-tos but I am trying to change it up. thanks, much love :)

I’ve tried so many shadow sticks and the only ones that work for me are and Laura Mercier (matte formula only). The Maybelline is like a crayon and creases my wrinkly, hooded eye so badly. 😢
My all time favorite eye shadow look is actually Colourpop Shadow Stick (Bear With Me) which I pat dry and lightly blend with an old-school foam shadow applicator + a slight cat eye liner on the top lid. I just wish Colourpop shadow sticks got more love because I’m so nervous they’ll stop making them!
