good info Carl.happened to me xmas befor last my birds were all show birds, had them nearly 40 years, came down to the loft on the morning, birds every where, all dead, put it down to foxes as i had seen them about at times,60 birds in all,my breeding loft was ok, but i spent a little time fixing it up as you do, only had 3 pairs in there, but few weeks and they came back and finished them off,i blame my self for not being more careful, was it foxes or stoats,,will never know,so much for my retirement, any how good luck mate
sorry to here that tom,yes its a horrible experience,i tried everything to try stop this stoat getting in,but when i caught it and seen how small they are they could get in anywere,,, thanks for the kind comments and thanks for watching
Glad u caught it a very serious problem that. Many years ago a fancier i knew at Driffield Yorkshire had lots killed same way a stoat was getting in .good information for fanciers who have similar problems
Thanks Alan hope it can help someone if unfortunately they have the same problem but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone,I have videos of it actually killing my birds but it’s too brutal to share, thanks for watching and the kind comments
@carlgreenhow hey Carl forgot to ask how was it getting in u mentioned firstly the tiled roof. Did it come in via there .your camera might have shown how the stoat was actually getting inside.
I have footage of it going up into the roof space inside the loft and disappearing the problem I had was a full length corridor from one end of the lofts to the other so the stoat once inside had the run of the lofts
Definitely need the doorbell cameras out them around the garden and inside the loft only 30 quid on Amazon there brilliant and alert your phone they have day and night mode always a crystal clear picture ya can talk through the microphone on them too so if anything is about ya can shout into the microphone to scare it away
Thanks pal yes I was glad to get it after a horrible few weeks I couldn’t sleep thinking about it,,,it also killed birds in a top unc loft on my gardens too
We are with you me and my husband had same problem my husband broke his heart wen the thing got our lovely birds and he got take care
