You are the best channel for learning how to come up with designs. Too many are telling people to basically steal bestselling designs, just make simple changes, so Etsy is oversaturated with so much of that. Sadly, out of the people, who are teaching to do that, they aren’t the best designers, themselves, either, so there are so many bad designs out there. Unfortunately, people don’t understand, if they’re competing with those best sellers, they aren’t going to make sales, because the best sellers have the reviews, so they will, more than likely, get the sales. You actually think like a teacher, and come up with very different ideas. That has helped me more than anything. Thanks Shawna.
Yes, so true. Why do so many tell new sellers to just copy a design and change the font a little. Not going to work + you can get copyright reports from angry original design authors.

Shawna I just had to tell you - I got my first best seller badge!! I have other shirts that have more sales - but this one sold almost 100 in a few days!!! Gee - only took me 14 months! LOL!

When I try to cross-niche things like that I'm always confused about Title and tags because it seems like people wouldn't be directly searching for "bride and groom pickleball"? .... I think of good things that go together and have solid search volume (each) but when I combine them I'm wondering who is searching for THAT?
You are so welcome! And I have struggled with this too! I would personally be focused on Bride and Groom SEO for this listing with maybe one phrase in my title and maybe two additional phrases in my tags that hit pickle ball.

Hello Shawna, I have a Digital Design shop, am I able to sell the graphics png that Creative Fabrication offers without changing anything or will that be copyrighted ?
When warping the text, can you holt down (Alt) to split the anchor point, like in illustrator? This would make it easier to manipulate the text. (it would prevent the seesaw effect of the warping)
Tons of views but no sales.... trying to cross niche, but I spend HOURS on one design so I rate myself high

Hey, Shawna, I have an unrelated question:
If I've found two niches that both have significant search volume, and want to put them together, but the combination doesn't have significant search volume, is that still a viable product idea? For example, "Step Dad" and "Football Dad" might both have great search volume, but "Football Step Dad" doesn't. It still seems like a great shirt idea, and possibly an untapped market, but I'm not sure if I should go for it or not. (This is an example, not the actual niches I've been reasearching.)
To get momentum how many designs would you suggest to upload on the subject that you have researched?

If anyone is having trouble like Shawna here with grabbing the goggles instead of the text, Kittl has the ability to lock layer. Click the lock next to the layer you'd like to stay still, and work away with any layers on top!
You can also click the drop down box on your project and click "duplicate" to more quickly get a separate project.
Great tip Hannah! Locking layers makes it much easier to work with top layers!
