As someone who has played sax for several years and had no idea how to assemble this, the video was a huge help. I’m still having trouble with making a nice sound and I do not know fingerings yet, either.
The reed had an interesting flavor in the mouth with several prominent wooden notes. The clarinet cork grease was a perfect substitute for those out-of-Brylcreem panics and that emergency slicking of the hair on demand before going out the door.
as someone who played violin, when my music teacher said "The logo should be on top." I ignored it and focused on how the clips looked instead cuz thats how my violin case was, but good video, I have clarinet in my school band so this was very useful
I'm a beginner, so excuse my ignorance. You say that the screws of the ligature should face to the right, but on mine the loop nearest you is smaller than the the upper loop, which means I have to have the screws on the left!?
* attempts to assemble without cork grease * * forces pieces together using knee * * screams. googles how to assemble a clarinet * 1:33 "Never attempt to assemble a new clarinet without using cork grease ... Never force the pieces together, and never push against a surface like your leg" 😐 WELP BACK TO LEARNING THE DIDGERIDOO FOR ME
Got mine on Wednesday, I don't wanna break the instrument because my teacher told me if I don't hold down the bridge I could break the who instrument and I don't know where the bridge at
ua-cam.com/video/1-mvB_h_8ec/v-deo.htmlsi=OeoclsNrXV_RehZf The only one he didn't talk about was the little bridge between the first large piece and the second large piece. Because many of my kids will forget which one goes on top. As you look down the bridge the top piece goes over the bottom piece. If you do it the other way the keys on the second large piece won't go down.
Thanks for watching. We realize different teachers sometime prefer a different order, but after educating thousands of students we've found this helpful to avoid issues (specifically for young children). We'd make some slight modifications for an adult or older student.
