@@TrudyandEddTravel that's good. I live on the west coast in sunny Perth but was in Victoria last week , driving from the Grampians National Park to South Yarra in that storm. Whoa I have never experienced rain like it.
Good to see you in my neighbourhood. Don't know why you found Fitzroy sketchy. Yes it's a bit rough around the edges but quite a safe suburb to live. Naked For Satan is a great bar. Suggest you check out Smith St scene. I go to Mollie's Bar most Friday's for dinner and drinks with friends.
Fitzroy 💙 100 percent head back there of an evening for dinner / drinks the place comes alive, loads of class bars in there and live music in a fair few of them as well! Chop was spot on as well - ya never know when the call might come on a Saturday night 🍻🍹
Thanks as always, hanging out for your next instalment! Interesting you found Fitzroy sketchy; my daughter’s had a few unpleasant encounters there and stays well away. So many great suburbs in Melbourne though. Suggest try South Melbourne market - it’s ace - and get a coffee and cake in Albert Park on the way there or back. Have a great week guys 😊 Oh and PS my favourite beer is Carlton Draught
Thanks Jeremy, we aim to get 3 videos out a week tuesday, thursday, sunday but that might be a little more difficult now with Edd at work but we will try usually post around 6pm. Fitzroy really didnt live up to the things we had heard so onto the next suburb!! Thats our second comment for carlton beer aswell!
If you like seaside towns, try visiting Port Melbourne, or Williamstown for a cute maritime town. The beaches down around Mordialloc, Seaford, Bonbeach and Chelsea areas are beautiful! :)
Ah the Milk head, close to me, lol. Not to sure if you have tried THE LOCAL, yet, it is right next door to it, with a rooftop. Worth trying. Great area, St Kilda, Balaclava, Elwood, cannot go wrong. You have to try the great, the almighty, VB, unless you already have. Oh and South Melbourne Market to.
@@TrudyandEddTravel Oh yes that as well. I was referring to a popular beer here. VB as in Victoria Bitter, but a big thumbs up to the Village Bell as well.
Hi guys. A suggestion from a wise old guy in Australia, (well maybe not wise, but definitely old), try some hay fever tablets from the chemist for the tickley throat. Just to let you know, you are in the hay fever capital of the world, and it is spring. Just a thought.
Some words to describe Fitzroy - inner city , alternative, bohemian, hipster, trendy, indie, arty, somewhat grungy. Historically, inner suburbs in the north had light industry/ factories and trades so the workers lived there Some parts became slums and it was a seedy area. Later the area was populated by migrants from around the world. There was cheap student shared house accommodation as it is near Melbourne University and on tram lines.(Melbourne has the most extensive tram network in the world).Young professionals like to live there. PS. St. Kilda was the holiday by the sea area for historical Melbourne. It has a seedy side, too. PPS. Buy a 'hamburger with the lot' ( and pineapple - my preference) at a good fish and chip shop to understand how we do our burgers.
So glad you love Melbourne and enjoy the food n drink. Pls consider wearing hats and sunglasses when in the sun. Just looking out for you both.❤
Thanks for the tips Steven!!
Oh my gosh yes, Friday was a wash out in Melbourne.
wasnt it!? todays been super nice!!

Thanks for the tips be sure to check them out!!
Don't forget the beetroot, fried egg on the burger. Bugger with the lot you can't beat it. 👍😎
Beetroot on a burger is a new one danger mouse!?
@@TrudyandEddTravel not hear it ain't. We all like it in our burgers here. Try it.

We think you could be onto something here David!! thanks for your comment
2:03 sounds like hayfever. This week has been especially bad in melbourne!
Ooooo Hayfever has been mentioned to us a few times now!

The burger sounds sensational!! Edd's a big burger man so his excited by that!!
Cracking little Market, Fitzroy.
Naked for Satan is a good roof top bar.
Satan was a great roof top shame about the strange smell!
trudy seeing after a long time omg
Seeing what? 😃
Try Yarraville Villiage. Worth a trip and very close to the CBD
Noted, nice one Chris!!
Hi Guys,
Great vlog as always
Just checking to see if Edd likes his craft beers?
Only asking after he’s drinking some sour beers
Beer monsters back again!!
Im not a beer drinker normally no, normally cider is my choice thats why this was such a big change for me to order one!!
Come to Epping, decent shopping centre and costco $400 for a 3 bedroom house and a yard
Wow thats incredible price. Edd's just settled into work though!
@@TrudyandEddTravel i meant $400 per week renting lol good for him more gin and tonic for you
Elwood, i prefer Elwood 1st and St Kilda 2nd... cheers
Elwood is also nice, a potential new home for us after our airbnb finishes...
6:18 Fitzroy scary 😂. You’re living in St Kilda ffs.
We're 100% going to give it another try but we haven't had any issues (touch wood) in kilda yet.
You can't take any beaches in Melbourne seriously. St Kilda wouldn't be in the top 5000 Australian beaches 😅
You can when your closest beach at home is 150 miles away!! But we will be sure to check out others
Ed..try a coopers stubbie see what you think.😀✌️
I'll try and remember and hopefully you'll see it in a vlog sometime soon!!
try some kewpie mayo on ya burgers. its a bit exxy, but its extraordinary for that stuff. woolies have it.. look it up.
I've been eying up kewpie mayo for a while im a sucker for buying to many sauces to try (Edd)
