- Top 3 Half Court Press Defences For Youth, in this video I breakdown different Half Court Press Basketball Defences that can help you stop many different Basketball teams. The idea behind a Half Court Press or a Half Court Trap Basketball Defense is to trap the ball handler of the offensive team between half court line and the sideline. This way the opposing player is unable to move forwards backwards, or left or right.

I'm trying to get my game better in this offseason. Thanks for the tips!
your welcome, work hard
@@bballcoachallen thanks
You ramble way too much. There are too many “what if’s”. You can’t teach this to middle school kids, too confusing. Your ramble on about too many options etc. It needs to be more streamlined.
to teach it properly players need to learn every option.. it takes a while to teach defense the right way. Thats why nobody runs man to man defense anymore. Three are 100s of options and contingencies for each position
ridiculous comment. If you want to learn how to play a press then you're gonna have to learn all of the what ifs. Otherwise play a zone and don't even attempt a press! I've never heard of a press defence that involves no what ifs. lol
@@bballcoachallen for middle school kids, you don’t need hundreds of options, as their thought process can only compute small amounts at that age. I’m a very successful middle school coach, my record of 40-16 over 5 years isn’t by chance or luck. With the right plays ran the correct way, it works, not hundreds of options needed.
