When you mentioned Natasha Denona as number one, I honestly went “woah, wait, where did juvias place go? I thought we liked juvias place formula!!!!!” Then I went to the comments and saw someone ask for a drugstore version, and had to reread the title of the video before the lightbulb went off... I think I need more coffee and to pay more attention now.. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
The Balm's newest The balm and beautiful palettes are actually pretty nice. Pigmented, blend well, no fallout, fast to work with, nice everyday basic colours.
So interesting...I have three ND minis and am underwhelmed by them. I love persona and nabla. I would put CT at number one. Which surprised me. They truly blend themselves and look so sophisticated. I want to try Sigma at your recommendation.
What mascara is this?! O.O Also, speaking as someone in their mid-40s, I can vouch for the Persona formula working well on less-smooth eyelids. It's also so easy to blend while still being quite pigmented.
Kelly I just remembered that you were interested in trying the bh cosmetics eyeshadow formula. I just got the avocado toast palette and I think you´d love it, it has an awesome range of greens but also neutrals
Good morning, totally agreed with your eyeshadows formula raking but I never tried Sigma so I can’t said too much about that one. Beautiful makeup look.
I don't have any big natasha denona but I love her minis. I have 4, I reach for retro the most but I also love how easy it is to make looks using colors out of multiple palettes. Just go in with a light hand with the mattes, they can be powdery if you go in too hard.
I had to restart this video after like a minute and a half to actually pay attention to what you were saying because I couldn't stop looking at your eyes, wow!!! You look gorgeous! Hair and makeup and earrings and all, these shades really suit you!
OMG, you look absolutely STUNNING!!! don’t get me wrong, you’re always beautiful, but your entire look today is ON POINT! those earrings, your hair and your makeup just slayed the game. yesssss, please make a drugstore version!!! i always look forward to the days that you upload your videos. 💚
Great video. I agree TF shimmers are not that good. I was using my profusion palettes for awhile switched to a TF palette and was underwhelmed. It would be nice to see a drugstore one of this video.
I've tried the balm travel palettes (the ones in the tin) and I do like them, especially the shimmers. They did just release two new nude palettes with their new recyclable packkaging, so I think either they did reformulate after the nude palettes (before the tins) or they're reformulating with the beauty and the balm ones. I have heard raving over the cheek products but the tin palettes went over everyone's head so there's barely any reviews to compare. Maybe the new ones have better formula?
You say and what not a lot which makes me so happy! It reminds me of one of my favorite comedy shows that no longer is airing called Disjointed. Miss that show. Love love love your channel and your personality.
Now we need a drugstore version of this! ❤ and gosh darnit, I've been wanting to get the Persona identity 1 for so long but now I need to try a ND 5 pan too!
About the powdery-ness of the ABH formula, I had always thought that was a tradeoff for soft, easy to blend mattes. I've noticed that with them, colourpop, and Dominique cosmetics, so I guess I just assumed that was just part of it. Are there soft, blendable mattes that don't get kick up?
Im curious to see where you put Natasha Denona. I always take twice as long doing my eye makeup when I use her palettes, especially if it has dark creamy mattes in there. I cant just do whatever with them because they easily end up all over my face. The color stories are also geared more towards lighter skintones. What I usually love in her palettes are the scattered, glimmery, sparkly shades. Everything else I prefer other brands.
I can’t wear eyeshadow without it getting above my crease. So I wish I could wear a shade Just on my lid but even with glitter glue and setting spray won’t stay. Hooded eyes man. Lol sorry for the rant lol. Kelly you look stunning 🤩. You are rocking this look today!
OOH!!! I may have to join this one on IG. Just because I have a few surprises, I think. Top spot will shock no one, but next few, maybe. ALSO! I just did a huge LGBT beauty haul and did a really lovely order from Flower and got your serum foundation both to wear alone and as a blending shade and I am going to try it today. Which will make now 4 drugstore brands (all coincidentally cruelty free where I am vibing with a lot of their line, as opposed to the random odd or end), which is SO EXCITING to me (plus Flower has a bunch of the kind of weirdo products I like that most people don't in addition to their obvious hits). So thrilled with my not little in size but wow little in price order (I'm 44 and I kinda just discovered I could love drugstore makeup this summer, but I was raised by department store makeup ladies, and it's very exciting).
I love Lorac’s formula way better than Persona’s one (which I think is lovely as well but not as beautiful Loracs’). So many complain about brands over releasing products but it seems that the reality is that the ones who don’t, simply get forgotten about. In any case, if you haven’t yet tried Lorac’s formula, I’d definitely encourage you do give them a try (specifically their pro palettes). You just might discover a new fantastic formula :) Also, when speaking about eyeshadow ‘formula’ there’s more than just mattes and shimmers. For example, comparing palette formulas when one is, say, a regular matte powder shadow and another is Natasha Denona’s is a cream to powder shadow, or when one is a shimmer shadow and another is more of a glitter topper, is like comparing apples to oranges. I went for Huda Beauty’s light nude palette based on review, recommendations on the great formula and the color story which I likes, without realizing that most of the so called ‘shimmers’ are actually very glittery and most are more of a topper formula, which I really dislike. There’s also a big difference between a ‘shimmer’ shadow which is basically filled with micro glitters (and can still be smooth and lovely - like the Persona formula), and ‘metallic’ shadows, which are shiny and metallic but not glittery (like Lorac). That a big distinction in formula that nobody ever talks about. If I’m looking for a good metallic shadow formula, I have no idea where to look for it. When I read Persona’s formula was a smooth shimmer formula I believed it was metallic, but is was actually shimmer. I love it nonetheless, but I’m just saying - it’s apples and oranges, and it can be very helpful to distinguish between these things when comparing formulas. I loves very much the video idea though, and your opinions on the different formulas. I might have to try ND’s formula at some point (when it’s on sale haha!)
Hey Kelly! I just bought the ABH Norvina (the original) palette. It was on my wishlist forever! Sephora had its vib sale here and getting it with a discount, combined with the spring vibes of the palette I though it was the best time to go ahead and buy it! I know it was in your wishlist in a previous video so maybe the time has come for you too 😂💕💕
I think I’d rank too faced above urban decay but idk I kind of dislike both of them haha. I haven’t tried any new UD since naked cherry and I was not impressed and I think my last new too faced palette was the first gingerbread spice palette. I’m really only interested in a few of these brands nowadays. I just got my first nabla palette in November, I’m iffy on ND because of things I have heard about her and because my experience with her Black Friday sale last year was awful. I do still like my ABH palettes and I like the cor de Rosa which is my only newer sigma palette. Would love to see a ranking of cheaper brands as well.
Are you thinking of picking up any of the new Sigma 9 pans Kelly? The green one looks so cute! I wonder if the formula is the same as their larger palettes.
You look gorgously beautiful today. Can’t afford ND, don’t like the 5pan packaging, looks like cheap drugstore, can’t get Persona in The Netherlands, Nabla looks amazing, gonna save my coins for that brand:)
Out of all of these I only own palettes from ND, Nabla and one persona palette. I have become really particular with my shadows in my mid 40s and just purchase what I know works for me. The rest of my palettes come from Charlotte, Tom Ford, Pat McGrath, EM cosmetics, Lawless, Sydney Grace, Marc Jacobs and Channel.
I’m a bit underwhelmed by ABH and Natasha Denona eyeshadows. The only ABH palette I own is the Modern Renaissance and the formula doesn’t lend itself to a quick makeup routine. And I feel like I expected more from Natasha Denona given the price. I haven’t tried Nabla, Persona, or Sigma yet.
I agree with you on Tarte’s Toasted. That pallette was a dud, I have it, but don’t like it and I love Tarte eye shadows. I have others, like Maneater and both shimmers and mattes are buttery soft and sooo blendeable. Definitely a dud.
I'm honestly mesmerised by that eyeshadow colour with those earrings. I couldn't stop staring!
Yo please do this for drugstore! This could be a great series for all makeup categories for your channel 😆
Yes! 🙌🏻
Agreed!
Loving the eye look today! And with those earrings? So pretty!
Thank you, Tracey!
@@KellyGooch OMG PLEASE do an video on this look! I love it for spring and really makes your eyes pop
Those earrings with that eyeshadow look is EVERYTHING🥰
LOVE your eye look with those earrings!
Thank you, Natalie!
Yessss she looks like a greek goddess 😍

I thought the same as well!
Same here haha. Legit was expecting juvias place at number one spot
LOVE this eye look on you. The whole look together is giving me subtle Cleopatra vibes...😍
The Balm's newest The balm and beautiful palettes are actually pretty nice. Pigmented, blend well, no fallout, fast to work with, nice everyday basic colours.
Kelly!! This eyeshadow look paired with those incredible earrings......IMMACULATE!!!!!!
So interesting...I have three ND minis and am underwhelmed by them. I love persona and nabla. I would put CT at number one. Which surprised me. They truly blend themselves and look so sophisticated. I want to try Sigma at your recommendation.
I love this eye look with the earrings! It reminds me of Tom Ford's blue perfume bottles for summer. Cyan blue.
Some of Nabla's palettes are going to be part of Ulta's 21 Days of Beauty, I might have to pick one up now 😊
What mascara is this?! O.O Also, speaking as someone in their mid-40s, I can vouch for the Persona formula working well on less-smooth eyelids. It's also so easy to blend while still being quite pigmented.
This was so much fun to listen to!
Thanks, Kelly, and Happy Thursday to you and everyone else!!!
The Ofra five pan palettes are AH-mazing!! I was completely stunned. Effortless to apply and blend.
ok kelly looking RICH today with the eyes and earrings!!
Have you tried Sydney Grace? I like them more than all my other high end palettes.
Kelly I just remembered that you were interested in trying the bh cosmetics eyeshadow formula. I just got the avocado toast palette and I think you´d love it, it has an awesome range of greens but also neutrals
Thank you for sharing! I have my eye on it :)
Love the jewel-like blue eyeshadow with those earing. I think I have to try the look this weekend!!!
I really love those kind of ranking videos 😍 and your eyeshadow looks amazing!!! 😍❤
Thank you, Sarah!
I was surprised Juvias Place and Colourpop werent on there! Very pretty eye look 😘.... edit: and then I realized this was the high end version lol
I love your eyeshadow! Makes your eyes really pop! 😍
Omg your make up is ✨STUNNING✨! It reminds me of Cleopatra especially with those gorgeous earrings😻😻😻
Rewatching this. Hope you can make one for powder blushes too!❤️❤️❤️
Are you gonna try the Hydromaniac foundation from UD?🧐
Blue/teal shadow looks GORG on you!
Literally one of my fave looks on you! And with those earrings!!! 😍🙌 also love this ranking video 🔥❤️
This whole look is just stunning 😍
Good morning, totally agreed with your eyeshadows formula raking but I never tried Sigma so I can’t said too much about that one. Beautiful makeup look.
Thank you!
Your makeup is on point, and you’re making me want to play with colourful shadows. It makes me genuinely happy to watch your videos. XO ❤️
Thank you!!
I recently picked up the too faced rich girl palette and that one is awesome. No complaints from the shimmers nor the glitters
I definitely want to try Natasha Denona this year. I just have to pick one 😆
I’m surprised Juvia’s Place wasn’t in here though
I was just ranking high end formulas :)
They would probably be in a future "drugstore" ranking (and near the top!) since they're a bit less expensive than The Balm.
@@KellyGooch okay! I clicked so fast that I completely skipped high end. Sorry! 😅🤦🏻♀️
