So I have watched a few other people’s reviews and honestly, quite surprised others don’t like them. However, when watching their application, it was very different from mine. I think these are meant to be one and done shadows and for me, they worked like a dream. You can see me apply them. Also, an update on creasing, I am wearing the Taupe shade today and there is no creasing. I think they are fantastic. However, if you want a different take, check out Jena Froese & Tara Lynn’s Reviews.
Mine arrived and were easy to use. Brushes worked and I could blend them. I did like brush application better than finger application. Finger blending the edges, after the brush application, was really nice though! Not sure why some people find these difficult and others have no problems? They do set quick. So, if you're someone who dottles around when applying eye makeup... don't get them. I used my normal daily oil based makeup remover and everything came off easy. Go figure? For reference- tools tested that worked for me were on the more dense side: Repher 12, CTilbury 'Eye Smudger', ColorPop E9, Morphe M433 (light wash of color). Blenders tested: Morphe M433, CT 'Eye Blender', fingers. Matt shadows came off of brushes easily when swirled in a dry terry cloth, between colors... or with Vera Mona 'color switch'.
Finally! Someone who had a similar experience to mine LOL. I’ve never like applying any of the CT cream shadows with my fingers. And you are right, they dry down quick. I wore the taupe today for work and it looked beautiful and lasted all day and even a workout on the peloton at the end of the day.
Hi Shannon, thank you for showing how all shadows apply. I'm interested to know if they felt comfortable throughout the day. I plan to wear them as a base colour with a sparkle/metallic shade overtop, similar to the look at the end of your video.
I’ve been waiting for someone to do a review of all of the colours before I buy so thank you. Also what is the lip combo you’re wearing? Thanks so much x
Hi Shannon, the colours look really good on you especially the dark ones. I have got really oily eyelids, do you think it would be a good option for me?
I think so. The formula is somewhat dry. Once it dries down, it’s locked in place. If you watch when I put on the black, it’s a little uneven. That’s because my eyelids were still oily from when I took off the first two shades. Even then, it too a lot for me to get it off.
@@ShannonFord aww thank you so much. I was looking into cream formula eyeshadows which are good for oily eyelids. I was looking into nudestix eyeshadows. Good,I have got another option. Would you mind, making a comparison video, between the nudestix and the new CT cream matte ones?
@@zubaidawaheda7165 I don’t have any of the nudestix. Honestly, I decluttered all my other cream eyeshadows because I only reached for my CT ones. I even had some Tom Ford ones that I got rid of
You are the first person to make these work and look so pretty! I'm tempted to try the taupe, but worried it would age me bc of how dry the formula seems to be??
So I didn't add any primer. I never do when I use the original ones either, but I do with regular eyeshadow. I did take my wet sponge that had foundation over my eyelids before I started, but that was it. I really had no issues applying, so I was surprised so many others did. I will say, Charlotte Tilbury's site has an excellent return policy. I was able to return a foundation that was a bad shade match without issue. As for aging, I'm 45, so that's always a concern for me. I didn't find that they aged me at all.
@@ShannonFord good to know! Yes I have returned to her as well. I'm 50 and try to walk the line between still wearing whatever I want, but also being honest with myself wrt what looks good on me. I have a lot of the hourglass toppers you used. I think I'm going to get the taupe one... charlotte should send you a commission check!!!
No, I think priming would actually make application harder. I did go over my eyelids with the sponge that I used to apply my foundation, but that was it
Thanks Shannon!!! You're coloring is close to mine so I'm happy to see what these look like on you. Your method of application is like Charlotte Holdcrofts and she really likes them too. No attempt at layering, which seems counterintuitive to me since most people use cream shadows as one and done. I'm definitely getting the taupe 😊
Funny enough, I watched her video after o filmed and we used the same brush to apply. The Taupe is so pretty. The black is very sexy. Definitely not for everyday but for a fun night out
Hello. These have so many bad reviews. I ordered nude cashmere, smokey taupe and flawless beige. I love them!!!! Yes, they a bit dry but the way it looks... i love. very easy to use!
I know, right?! The Nude Cashmere is the only one I could probably do without, but I tried it as an base for one of Pat McGrath’s blitz Astral shades and it’s perfect. You have to work quickly and they aren’t meant to layer. As I watched others apply and struggle, I thought, you are talking too much, you need to work fast. It’s definitely a “you either love ‘em or hate em” product. I also think they are great for the average person who wants easy eye looks. And wow, do they last. I did a hot yoga class this week and it didn’t budge.
@@BeautybyArlene thanks so much. Just an FYI, my channel isn’t all beauty. It’s a little bit of everything, though I am doing more beauty lately when I can. So if you see a random video on Chuck E Cheese, that’s why LOL

I agree that these are best as a one and done . The negative reviews seem to be were the shadows are layered too much . Great video !
@@jamiewarkentine7108 that’s my thought too. Probably also personal preference. Thanks for watching

I have worn them twice and to me they feel comfortable. Not drying. They also last. Once they dry down, it’s bulletproof.

Hi Shannon, do you find that it creases? Sometimes I get that, even with a base under the eye shadow.
