With all the trees you have, I would consider putting leaf guards on it to keep all the leaves out of your spouts and going down your pipe and plugging them up
Great idea !! I love mine, I had a handyman install the ones from Lowes. 3 years old and no problems whatsoever.
Gutters on back roof.
Hi Rox and Ant, you need to get some water butts to catch the rainwater off your roof so that it doesnt go to waste. You will have plenty of water for the garden then. I would suggest putting a grill over the gutter to keep the leaves from clogging it up.
Now you need a large water butt to collect all that lovely rain water to use for the garden etc. 😊✌🇬🇧
Love to see how Anthony has never done a lot of the things you guys have done with your home, but he always figures it out and makes it look nice to! Good job guys!
Don't forget to put some type of leaf guard on your gutters. You have a lot of trees, and they have lots of leaves that WILL PLUG your gutters.
At the bottom of your drain spout, you need a 45 degree angle down spout and a coupe of 12 X 12 cement pads or several bricks and that would keep it from washing out the ground and push the water away from your barbeque area.
I watch you everyday. I love your honesty and love. I don't have an answer, I do t understand. Hang in there. We all love you
We put a big kitchen wisk In the down spouts. Handle down. It keeps them from getting clogged. Works great.
YOUS need a rain barrel on the one end to collect all that good free water. Be great for your garden, the animals.
Anthony the gutters look great!! Are you going to put some mesh inside the gutters so small sticks and leaves dont clog it ? Maybe you could put a barrel at the end to catch the rain for gardening? ❤ Mamma Carolyn
With gutters you can have a water catchment system on one end. Just a thought. Good luck✌️🇺🇸❤️
Good evening. U might want to invest putting in gutter guard because there is so many trees on your property
great work. Remember that rain is free water that you can collect in an emergency. And with as much rain as you get collecting it can be a good thing.
Having gutters up is nice for many reasons. Not getting poured on is nice and it won't flood flowers beds up against the house.
Time for some rain catchment systems!
Awesome addition to your home. Very practical. 🥰
The brackets are for plastic gutters they help hold the gutters up during snow and ice weight.
I must say that y'all have grown so much over the last 3 years I so enjoy watching your videos I find them very informative and how you are growing your new life
Hello Rox and Ant, the gutters look good, good install. I think they kind of give it a finished off look. You will be happy the next rain fall, the gutters work good. 👍👍❤️❤️🎄🎄🇨🇦
Add rain barrels for the garden. I have 2 attachedtoone downspout, and plan to add another 2 at the opposite side of my house. Saves a ton on my water and sewer bill.
Definitely get gutter leaf guards. Have had mine for over 20 years and have never had to clean out my gutters..
That second downspout you put in would be perfect for a rain barrel!
Catch that rain water, good for your garden and animals
I have learned so many things from just watching you two!
Good job @Ant and Rox
me again. where the downspout meets the ground open a small trench and add some down spout to take the water outlet away from the house a few feet, then bury it.
The gutters look great ❤❤❤
grip both sides of the scaffold (narrow end) brace and use your thumbs to press the levers in. you can slide that side up and down then let the pins re-latch. then do the same thing to the other side. once you get the idea you can change the height quickly and easily.
Anthony did a great job for not having done it before.
It would be nice to have a water catchment system.
I know it's probably not needed. I just hate to see it go to waste.
Wishing you the best
You guys are my favorite on UA-cam.
You are definitely going to need leaf guards to keep the leaves out of the gutters.
The gutters look great!
Right Decision for sure. The long screws with spreaders is by far better not to mention cheaper. Great Job !!!
You need more than one watering bowl for your chickens.
I am just so happy for you guys that you’re finally putting in the gutters. Oh it’s gonna make a big difference I know it and if you could have a barrel for the water to fall into you’ll have water and you can use it for the garden that’s gonna save your your wood on your deck and everything. I am so happy for you guys. step-by-step little by little you’re getting things done.❤❤
A little tips, you can make you own brackets of wood, and put them up every 3 - 4 feet can look great also
You should put rain barrels under your downspouts. I water all plant with rainwater and they do amazing!
You two are amazing you work great together I'm amazed at what you have accomplished I love watching you put your home together and you h done a beautiful home I would love to live where you live keep up the good work and your yard is looking good to
Great job Anthony and Rox!
Two words- rain catchment...lol 😂😅 I'd pipe that over to the garden into a tank so it can be utilized. I hope the 5" works for ya'll, your roof slope isn't that dramatic for it to rush over the top of the gutter. I had to use 6" on mine for that reason, after i put 5" up. 😢 Love what ya'll are doing 😊
You need the end spout to keep it from rotting your deck at the bottom. Also put some rocks on ground to keep from washing the ground away.Definitely another on the other end.plus screens to keep leaves out of them so they don’t clog.
Surprised you didn't go with black gutters to match the house. Bury some flew pipe for the gutters to move the water to where you want it. So you won't end up with muddy spots close to the house or water under the house. Looks like you need a couple more tall water feeder
Anthony the gutters look great!!
You should do a water barrel to catch the water use it on your garden or wherever the need. Be something to think about I don't know how expensive the barrels are.
You could just put a small gutter with open ends over the stairs to Thunderdome so it won't go onto the steps. But the flowers still get watered
I have a 6 ft. long x 8 ft. wide overhang over my front and back doors, and that's all I have gutters on...just to keep the waterfall on either side of me walking up on the porch. Looks good, Y'all! 👍
I'm glad to see you are finally putting up gutters. Have a good one, take care and God Bless!!!❤😊
You two are the best! Another job off the list! I hope your Christmas is merry and bright. I’m so happy that your place is the most livable and complete. There’s always more jobs but at this point you’re safely tucked in with each other and get to just enjoy your lovely new home. Blessings on your sweet family
Glad you have the gutters up and running.
Hi Ant and Rox, my first home had a 30’ section needing gutter. I opted for 2 downpipes so I set the height at the centre, 15’, to be the high point with the gutter sloping each way. It carried the water away without overflow. I also placed a concrete pad under the pipes to direct water away from the house. Those pipes became the water line for the garden. We lived on the side of a hill so the garden was terraced with a spoon drain with a minimal fall. That way it irrigated the garden. I enjoy your channel, you are a great couple. I’m glad that the storms didn’t slam you. As I’m in Australia I am not sure what part of Arkansas you live in.
You should of had David show you how to install the gutters , because he used to own a gutters shop, just ask him he know everything , poor dogs! All pen up!
I'm so glad yall got some gutters installed!
Hi Guys! 🎄🌹
Strap the scaffolding to the posts to keep it from tipping over when you are standing on the top.
Looking good you two have done a great job all the way around. You have some pretty chickens. God bless you from Michigan ❤️
I never realized that you could by gutters in anything but aluminum! Awesome to find out differently!
Looks great Anthony and rox...my neighbors did gutters and the company recommend leaf guards/ it's a screen ,still allows the water to flow but don't let stuff in gutters..it's just a screen so I'm sure not much Xtra $$$ ..otherwise looks great!!
Love seeing your homestead improve. You all are terrific. Thanks for sharing your lives
Our spouts come down on the same side. Front & back for the angle to flow out. 🙂🇨🇦
Need to put some concrete pads at the bottom of the spouts for the water to hit on coming out to prevent washout.
Great job!! You’re going to really love having gutters. I live under the canopy of several large trees, the gutter guards from Lowes have been a great blessing. I’m 62 and my climbing days are behind me now. I feel shaky on a step ladder. Lol
Nice job on the gutters you guys it’s a much needed project
They do make a heat tape you could put in your gutters for the winters.thermostat controlled!!! Might look into that...
Be sure to get some leaf guard. Don’t get the fine mesh. Fine mesh leaf guard will clog in about two years with dirt. Get the ones about the size of a big. BB.
One more to-do off the list. Well done.
I hate working off a ladder.. I don’t do heights anyway..the gutters will definitely be a big help.. you can maybe use some rain catchment to water the garden and animals..
Merry Christmas guys!
Y'all need those 300 gallon water bins they would help you with the water
I hope you thought to give it a little slide for the water flow away into these corners. Also with this cutters installed you can now collect the rain Water in Water Tanks for watering the Garden
The gutters look great! Pretty good for first time. Its always good to check another thing off the list..
Get a rain barrel so then you can water your garden or water for the animals
We have 2 spouts. One on each end of our 40 ft. Long house. Just a tip. And maybe you did it and I missed it. But I suggest a couple self tappers in your elbows so they don't fall apart on ya. My hubs did that to ours. It's great not to have to keep putting them back together every time it rains.😊
Another use for your leaf blower - cleaning out your gutters, LOl
Get some rain barrels and collect the water.
Just an idea but eventually you guys could put French drains down in the ground that goes to a water container and start collecting water for like your chickens and rabbits. 23:47
the rain gutter brackets dont break but i agree cheaper better for the gutters are cheap but they get you on the pieces & parts OMG
Now you can put in a water tank and catch some rain water
Good evening ☀️ good job on the spouting 👍
Now yall can start setting up water catchment system off all your roofs for plant watering or even a filter system for human use.
Anthony & Rox , might want to run a string line across the length so you can straighten out the little bit of bowing running down the length 😊 Awsome job! Your channel is a hit on the charts ❤ Happy Holidays 🎉🎉🎉
It’s still raining beyond your eavestrough. You might not get wet on the top step but you’ll get soaked on the second, lol.
You know how you made the chicken feeder trough... well, in the country of Panama, they use that same idea to catch rainwater off the roof... easy peasy and much cheaper than normal rain gutters; now if you really wanted to get fancy, they could be copper .... Regards, Robert Stroney 12 12 2023. - We're gettin' closer to Christmas. Hope you had a nice day.
Nice improvement for your home!👍
Good afternoon Ant & Rox
Are you going to put some tubing at the bottom of the gutter to move it away from the deck and veranda?
God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
The gutters look great on the house guys! That will definitely save the steps & the deck when it rains. Have a great day!
The downspouts or tricky
Are
if you have some plywood or flat surface material put it where the scaffold will be it will be easyer to move
It's looking good guys great job
Good install Anthony! Looks good.
Hello Anthony & Roxane, guttering is actually cheap, where they get you $$$$ is in all the accessories needed
You Rock, Rox!
I wish was able to come help,we would as a team could of put that hunter in around ten minutes, have alot of experience! But looking Good Anthony
Looks good. Have the same waterfall.
Definitely get some water tanks to collect the water so it’s not wasted. I live in Australia on city water but we have three tanks of various sizes we use for the garden and our aviary, dog water etc.🦘🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺
You will be safer on the stairs when it rains and freezes now
Looks good. 🫶🇨🇦
leaf guards are a must or wasted effort
It's great having your new guttering installed.you work great as a team. Merry Christmas . to all three if you, and may this New Year, make a your Dreams come.true.Sending my love and God's blessings to each and every one of you.Wanda A Senior In N E Ok
