+Jadervason but if everyone had bigger guns than ED209, then this tragedy could have been stopped. Dont let gun control take away a legal killer robot's ammunition!
Honestly the most accurate thing about this scene is that this thing killing a guy didn't tank the robocop project completely, and nobody apparently went to prison for it.
Robocop was a competing project and got greenlit partially because of ED-209 failure. But yeah, nobody went to prison for Kenny's death. Big buisiness can get away with much worse attrocities than accidentally killing one of their own.
Notice that Morton didn't suggest using Kenny for his prototype! If you listen to Morton's pitch, he talks about how he's already place "prime candidates" in key positions. We see Murphy gets transfer to this violent district from another one. I suspect as a result of Mortons moving around. He PLANNED Murphy's death! That's probably why "backup" did come to him when he asked for it.

Can you hear ED-209 saying: ' What...? ' at 1:57 ?

I love every f***g bit how ED-209 sounds. That's just some top lethal shit.
If you didn't shit yourself in fear from how it looks, you would once you heard it. Too bad you can just climb stairs to get away from it, though.
The UA-cam free movies has this scene totally censored… 😡😡😡
