My iconic fashion moment - the first time I saw ‘i-D Magazine’ with the smile and wink cover photograph. I must have been 14 at the time and still living in the village where I grew up. I went to the village shop and asked if they could arrange delivery of i-D magazine for me, and they did. And so each time the issue was released, I would walk to the village shop and collect the magazine and spend hours pouring over its pages in my small bedroom. I had only really seen Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar etc before this, and I remember being so amazed that fashion could be young and self-made and rebellious!. Once I was 16 I moved to London and never looked back!. Thank you for the fantastic interview Loic! ❤️

You can watch a good actor in action for a long time not even paying attention on how the time goes by. Same with Mr. Loïc Prigent... I saw his fashion-story/film on Arte about 3 years ago for the first time and ended up watching several of his documentaries all day long. Same with his youtube channel and comments, etc... I can't say if it is his sense of humor or his talente for observing and describing the world (including fashion world). I guess it is the great "je ne sais quoi"🤘

Tout à fait d’accord sur le sein iconique de Jean Paul Gautier, ça a été un marqueur très fort de ce que l’on appelle aujourd’hui « l’empowerment » féminin. Je reste raide dingue de l’époque « Vogue » de Madonna, qui fut un véritable adoubement international de Jean-Paul. La musique de Woodkid m’a aussi marquée comme un enchantement, précieux et hors du temps, inestimable. Les défilés Balenciaga sont également fantastiques (un en particulier m’a transcendé, mais comme j’en ai déjà parlé, épargnons-nous les répétitions fastidieuses...). Naomi est une mannequin extraordinaire, sa démarche et plus précisément l’intention, l’énergie qu’elle met dans ses défilés sont juste folles. Je n’aurais jamais imaginé qu’un jeté de cheveux (comment dit-on déjà, dans la langue de la mode ?) puisse produire un tel effet ! Enfin, nous sommes d’accord, actuellement Casablanca est vraiment la nouvelle vision de la mode qui s’impose. Mes meilleurs souhaits pour toi en cette nouvelle année, chaleureux remerciements à Vogue Paris pour cette merveilleuse interview. Yes, the choir was amazing! Another music setting that gets stuck in my head is the song from the video of Chanel metiers d'art 2016 where the woman is calling the astronaut. I have no idea if that music actually played during the show, of course, but it actually added a strange depth to the energy of the models happily greeting one another walking through the restaurant (I think it was at the Ritz?). The other music from that show was meh, but I doubt I will ever forget that first song.
Sur le back flip de Gigi, j'ai une hypothèse. Gigi regarde les vidéos de Loic Prigent. Elle a regardé celle sur le Catwalk et repris la technique de Carla Bruni qui savait mettre en valeur le vêtement. Si si, je constate qu'elle l'a fait au Défilé Jacquemus et celui de Jean Paul Gaultier l'hiver dernier.
