Boris Johnson also said in the manifesto launch speech: “We’re going to get Brexit done with a deal that is pre-cooked, ready to go”.
The UK will stop being a member of the EU if Boris Johnson’s deal goes through. But negotiations with the EU on a future trade deal would then take place during a transition period, during which time the UK will still follow EU rules and pay money into the EU budget.
“Getting Brexit done” is a process, not an event. Boris Johnson is not wrong to say that his deal will get Brexit done, but it is simplistic. The Brexit process will not be completed by January.
The withdrawal agreement wouldn’t secure a trade deal with the EU-that would have to be negotiated during the transition period.
But how long would that take? The transition period is set to run until the end of 2020, but could be extended by either one year or two.

Britain’s opposition Labour Party wrote to the head of the BBC on Thursday to complain about its coverage of campaigning ahead of next week’s election, accusing the publicly-funded broadcaster of bias.
Labour’s co-campaign coordinator Andrew Gwynne said they had recorded numerous examples where his party’s leadership had received “more negative treatment, harsher scrutiny and slanted editorial comment” than Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservatives.
“That bias has been reflected in the framing, content and balance of BBC reporting during the campaign,” Gwynne wrote in a letter to the BBC’s Director General Tony Hall.
“If the Conservatives are allowed to ‘play’ or manipulate the BBC, and this behavior goes unchecked, then the corporation will have effectively been complicit in giving the Conservative Party an unfair electoral advantage.”
The broadcaster, which is funded by a tax on all television-watching households and regularly faces accusations of bias from across the political spectrum, is bound by strict rules to ensure impartiality.
“The BBC will continue to make its own independent editorial decisions, and is committed to reporting the election campaign fairly, impartially and without fear or favor,” a BBC spokesman said.
Labour, who are trailing the Conservatives by about 10 points in opinion polls before the Dec. 12 vote, are particularly unhappy that Johnson has not agreed to be interviewed by veteran journalist Andrew Neil, who has already subjected the other major party leaders to tough questioning.

bbc show the applause sign when boris talks about benefits of brexit
It is absolutely clear who is the better statesman and more suited to lead our country - Jeremy Corbyn. Johnson is offensive with his juvenile put downs. He says nothing of any value and his track record as PM is appalling. Even his mannerisms are those of an immature man. We need a serious, skilled PM and government that other countries don't laugh at.
@steven hicks Not sure where you've been but the whole campaign has been about upping tax for the richest by a small amount, but the majority will come from making tax avoiding corporations pay.
Are you sure? Corbyn is a communist
@steven hicks Oh wow. You are so dumb it's hard to muster the will to even reply. I basically pointed out that he has been talking about closing loopholes, which you said he hasn't been doing. They are avoiding paying taxes through loopholes at the moment because they are being allowed to by the Tory government. In fact a lot of Tory MPs are using those loopholes, Like Jacob Rees Mogg and David Cameron before him, for example. You make them pay the same way you make poor people pay, you put them in jail and seize their assets if they don't comply. Clown.
The whole system is corrupt and to be terribly honest I feel that there all pathetic.
The system is not corrupt, if you want to see corruption live in Italy or Spain, or some of the South American and African countries, it may not always be to your liking, but compared to some parts of the world we are anything but corrupt.
"As we have said many times, Brexit is a process, not an event. It’s correct that the UK will stop being a member of the EU if Boris Johnson’s deal passes Parliament and the country leaves on January 31 2020, which is just over eight weeks away. But that will not be the end of the Brexit process."
-fullfact.org/election-2019/bbc-prime-ministerial-debate-fact-checked/
"Under Boris Johnson’s deal, negotiations with the EU on a future relationship would then take place during a transition period, during which time the UK will still follow EU rules and pay money into the EU budget. The withdrawal agreement does not by itself secure a trade deal with the EU-that would have to be negotiated during the transition period. "
What is with Corbyns glasses? One lense is dark and one is clear...is one a secret telly prompt?
ITS A SPECIAL PERSCRIPTION
Q: How do you know when Boris Johnson's lying?
A: His lips move.
Th-th-this is ah-ah unacceptable
Its either random noises or lying...

Q: how do you know that Jeremy Crobyn is a anti semite.
A: His lips move.
Only when he saying JC is a nice guy!
Getting Brexit done quickly is important. Not playing games in Parliament. Time for talk is past.
"Getting Brexit done" doesn't necessarily mean leaving the EU.
benbow7 yes. It does.
What a circus!
I don't know who is worse.

BBC MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT MAAAAJPRITY OF VIEWERS ALMOST COMPLETELY DISAPPROVE THE BBC WORK. DOES NOT REFLECT THEIR POINT OF VIEW
Could never see the point of these pointless debates with all this negativity surrounding what might happen if one or the other gets into No.10.
The US has demanded that we leave the EU without a deal. Boris keeps steering us towards No Deal. But if I had a Brexiter level of gulliblity, I would believe that the two are not connected, Boris wouldn't sell off the NHS and the cheque’s in the mail.
Nah its just pharmeceuticals. What that got to do wiv nhs. Do they use them or summink?

Your post says that it were edited.
My guess is that you're using a mobile device that "intelligently" misspelled (misspelt?) what you intended to post.

He’s right tbf our country is fucked either way
@@JarmanGaming I certainly wish you the best.
I know that 3 years or so is a long time.
Please have some sympathy for the US - we have been voting to fix our border and immigration systems for 3 decades.
We got someone who seems like he wants to do it, but the leftist nutjobs are doing _everything_ possible to stop him.
I know he's easy to dislike.
He often acts like a used car salesman or a clown (not a mime, though - he'd never be quiet like that).
He's even orange - I don't know if he eats too many carrots, but it also seems to enrage people.
“I’ve learned that I need to get used to having the choice between a giant douche and a turd sandwich because that’s always the choice I’ll have.” Stan Marsh, 2004
Between the two is has to be Boris for PM.
Look at the state of the audience, old people that don't give a shit about the future of the country, all they want is short term gains.
We fucked it with brexit,
Don't fuck it with Boris.

Women voting for bigger government, what a surprise.
@@AlanWattResistance It's either bigger government, which has a democratic process attached to it or bigger corporate control, where amount of money you have is directly proportional to how much control you have.
@@warmlycalculated390 Corporate control? lol, the government is a corporation. At least people have the option to compete with corporate control, whereas the government will destory you if you dare compete with itself.
