I learned a lot from watching this over and over. I had a simple tube boost set up, I did not like it! Boost in the MAP makes better sense! My EGT and transmission are working fine. The shop I hired to install my gauges did it not caring which in time caused me trouble. They wired the constant hots to the battery with an inline fuse near the terminal which was the right thing to do for some , not for me! Tie all three constant hots to one wire and use "Add a circuit to tie them in the fuse box. SO < SO < SO< I did it my dam self! Works fine now! Thanks Andy!
Thanks, helped me get my pillar quad pod installed in my f350 sd.
love the truck but can you please put the oem superduty tow mirrors on it!!!
Amazingly Informative! Now time to look for some nice Gauge Pods, for my car!
soooo pay my mechanic to hook it up gotcha
Great video
7.3 👍
These gauges mount with u shape bracket on back of gauge body. You installed pillar pod with wires only. Didn't that mean you had to remove pillar pod to mount gauges? Someone in a rush may follow your install step by step and then have to tear it apart to mount gauges into pod. Aside from that, your video was very helpful, especially the wiring hook ups.
We didn't show that step, but we used NSPA solder-filled connectors, which are heat-activated. Thanks for watching!
Very informative thanks!!!
Who laughed when the tap fell? 😂😂
Good job buddy!!!!
The wires behind the fuses are different gauge, that why the fuses are different in amps. Just spend the extra few dollars to buy a fuse instead of using one thats already in use
Boost gauge shall be with the vacuum measurement.
Awe, Bam Tech Dept!!!!!
Manual trans need the gauge.
Did placing the boost gauge on the MAP sensor line still give an accurate reading? I read that it may be 1lb or so off. I'd rather do it as you have if the reading is still accurate.
How did you pop the headlight switch box out of the dash to get to the back? Is it held on by any screws or can you just wedge a screw driver in there and pry it out?
Why do you need a constant hot?
Uncle Larry
ha i have a 60 psi boost gauge i'm not sure where to install it on my 1999 7.3 do you have any idea
How did you get to the headlight switch wire?
where did you purchase t for boost gauge ?

Quick question, why didn't you solder the connections?
I'm new to things like this so can someone inform me on what the gauges are used for at a newbie lvl this year im going to buy a 2008 or 2009 chevy silverado LT or LS I'm going to put a new exhaust system ,cold air intake headers, dyno tune and maybe a cam later with a drop would It be beneficial to use gauges for eny or the mods I'm going to do? if so for what .... probably going to get a performance torque converter for the trans also
powerstroke booooooooooo. Cummins yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh
Thank you!!!!!
Out of ALL the f**king videos, you are the ONLY to show that you tuck the pillar into the existing trim.
Thank you. My “OE” was out on both sides & I didn’t think it looked right.
