Die hard Xena fan here. The show literally kept me going and saved my life. I honestly don't believe that there will ever be a reboot that includes these loves. I'm okay with that. What they gave us was a part of themselves that can never be recreated, remade, or re-imagined. Later on in life, when the oldies sit down to enjoy a cup of tea, maybe then, we will here "In a time of ancient Gods...", playing distantly in another room.
Jessica, I feel the same. It aired at a time I needed something to cling to for several reasons. I'm an RN and I'd rush home during my break and watch 10 minutes of it, run back to the hospital and find renewed strength to finish the day. The theme of Xena will live on as one of the best openings for a show ever.

I knew Lucy was a bit older than Renee but to know that Renee is 47! She still looks like she could be Gabrielle from the 90’s! Lucy looks amazing as well.
They both look good and have aged well, but no Renee does not look like she could be Gabrielle from the 90s. You can clearly see that she has aged since than.

I don't think there will be a movie or reboot with them but i would LOVE to see them together again in anything comedy, action ,drama . Doesn't matter really just do something together

I love Opera and I must say that listening to that caught me by surprise that was one of the best operas I have ever heard in my whole life and it came out of a television show called Xena I'm dumbfounded.

Wow Xena: The Warrior Princess reunion with Renee and Lucy has been a long wait. I miss this show and also Lucy Lawless going on to voice Wonder Woman for Justice League The New Frontier was perfecting casing. She definitely brought that Xena type performance to the role.

Love hearing about them looking back on the show. I always wondered what they'd do (where the show would go) IF they did another season following of the last episode. What would Gabrielle do and would Xena's ghost still be guiding/helping her? I think it would have been very interesting to see where it might have gone seeing how much Gabrielle changed. A great show.

I wonder if they are just really tired of hearing what their show did for the LGBT community because they really downplayed the importance of it. It set the stage for many more on screen gay relationships and they don't seem to realise the magnitude of that. Either way I love these two!! Thanks for sharing the vid!

Early in the video Renee mentioned that her son was working in a production of Romeo and Juliet. Apparently that story has been around for a very long time, and is still going. The version that I found most interesting was "West Side Story." There were enough female characters in that version that a remake could be done, having parts for both Renee and Lucy. I would love to see that. Since West Side Story was a musical, it would be great to hear Lucy's talented singing voice.
Or they could do a spinoff about Xena granddaughter and either Gabrielle daughter or Lila granddaughter because like they did with Klaus daughter and Alaric twin daughters ?

The moment the studio chef announced not to be willing to include the original cast but go for a total recast and begin from stretch, mainly focussing on 20 year old lesbians, I was so Reliefed when the early production stages failed. It is better to have them lose interest instead of them ruining Xena by making it about something it never was.
They should do something like Ash vs Evil Dead where they revisit the characters later in their lives. Obviously, this would take some creativity given how Xena ended.
@@kkb2191kb The easiest story would be about Gabs returning from many years in Egypt, arriving in Greece, finding Eve and then using the knowledge from her time in Egypt to bring Xena back. And then they would work together, maybe with the Amazons as well, to achieve that goal. Simple as that.

There were plans for one but it didn't go very far before they scrapped the idea.
