- We have a lot of blocking to cut. Jigs make for high production and simplify the process. I need 2x6 blocks with bevels to fit between rafters and 2x12 bird blocks with bevels to fit between rafters are the plates. Vent notches for air flow.

Please remember that I'm not showing the best way to do anything, but just the method that works well for us. Thanks for watching!

Oh and another takeaway, if you use a drone for commercial work, you need to be part107 certified. Commercial work includes social media like UA-cam if you plan to make an income off of that. I watched a video about this last May and then purchased the Part 107 Course sso.teachable.... I studied and learned for 1 month and then took my test. I scored a 95%, which is a testament to how good Greg and the crew over there teach. That link will save you $100 off the course and support this channel.

We used to use a jig like that to cut line studs. It was based on a sheet of plywood. When you needed jacks you just dropped in a piece of header stock as a spacer. This was before nail guns and cordless tools.
I leave the saw plate loose and plunge cut too.I love it ,learnt that from you Tim ,thanks.Perkins builder brothers ars good guys just like you Tim. About the other Kyle ,Tim said on another video he didn’t want to talk about it. Thanks for sharing Tim,always awesome.
I wish I could find a crew as motivated and willing to work as you guys. Good for you.
Framing University. It’s great that you are sharing your knowledge. I know tradesman that wouldn’t share for whatever reason.
Tim as always the great pleasure was mine! As one pro carpenter to another (I just prefer finish cause of the huge mathematical skills I must admire in others I use a construction pro calc) and thee big one? It’s a dry job! Thank you brother!
I feel like hittin that LIKE button. Thanks Tim
The content just doesnt stop. Finished the night with a live QA last night, and today we have this. Great stuff.
For sure I would rip the bevel last. For two reasons first the two full depth cuts across the top are much smoother and faster across a square edge stacked against each other. (Also safer in my opinion) Second your doing all the skill saw cuts then switching over to the tablesaw to finish which is more efficient.
Instead of skill saw, then table saw, then skill saw again. Really great video, quality work, and keeping it real. Thanks.
@AwesomeFramers, Hey Tim, just bought a Makita40V Max XGT Brushless Rear Handle 10-1/4 in. Circular Saw Kit, AWS Capable (4.0Ah)!!! Cant wait to crank it up!!!
Yep watch u and Perkins bros.u guys r very informative.thanks for doing what u all do.
Great production, Simple always best, ( The KISS System Never Fails) Work Smarter Not Harder 😎👏👏👏
I always place a bucket underneath where scraps fall to avoid picking them up individually, let gravity do the cleaning
What I was going to say! Except a wheelbarrow or rolling bin. Also we have lots of plastic barrels we cut into garbage cans of different heights.
Hard to miss a mortar tub.
We need more videos on max hp system especially the hn120
What did you to
Fill in the void for your soffits in cold weather areas i bet its important.
For the cost of those lights you would think they would be bothered to PWM them at a reasonably high frequency or just run them off a constant current supply. So many LED products have race to the bottom electronics. Like the Cree “dimmable” bulbs that buzz like a horny cricket, even when at 100%. Replaced them with some cheaper garbage that didn’t buzz, but instead blink out at the slightest voltage drop (like when the well pump kicks on or the AC compressor).
Where are yall building at? An LVL ridge rafter & 2x12 roof rafters must be one he'll af a snow load.
What happened to the other Kyle? I guess I missed what happened.
Is this blocking code for you guys out west? I built a few houses 16/17 years ago in SC and never seen this.
Is that a Metabo with two batteries?
Hallo from austria Europa
Where is old kyle?? I been wondering.
Great video. But dude let’s get Jiggy??? Really
Dude what are you doing? You haven't seen Firefly yet? Get on the ball.
U guys ever use a miter saw
A miter saw would be too slow for production framing
@@janderson8401 right. But for blocking only
