We used to use a jig like that to cut line studs. It was based on a sheet of plywood. When you needed jacks you just dropped in a piece of header stock as a spacer. This was before nail guns and cordless tools.
I leave the saw plate loose and plunge cut too.I love it ,learnt that from you Tim ,thanks.Perkins builder brothers ars good guys just like you Tim. About the other Kyle ,Tim said on another video he didn’t want to talk about it. Thanks for sharing Tim,always awesome.
Tim as always the great pleasure was mine! As one pro carpenter to another (I just prefer finish cause of the huge mathematical skills I must admire in others I use a construction pro calc) and thee big one? It’s a dry job! Thank you brother!
@AwesomeFramers, Hey Tim, just bought a Makita40V Max XGT Brushless Rear Handle 10-1/4 in. Circular Saw Kit, AWS Capable (4.0Ah)!!! Cant wait to crank it up!!!
For sure I would rip the bevel last. For two reasons first the two full depth cuts across the top are much smoother and faster across a square edge stacked against each other. (Also safer in my opinion) Second your doing all the skill saw cuts then switching over to the tablesaw to finish which is more efficient. Instead of skill saw, then table saw, then skill saw again. Really great video, quality work, and keeping it real. Thanks.
For the cost of those lights you would think they would be bothered to PWM them at a reasonably high frequency or just run them off a constant current supply. So many LED products have race to the bottom electronics. Like the Cree “dimmable” bulbs that buzz like a horny cricket, even when at 100%. Replaced them with some cheaper garbage that didn’t buzz, but instead blink out at the slightest voltage drop (like when the well pump kicks on or the AC compressor).
I wish I could find a crew as motivated and willing to work as you guys. Good for you.

I always place a bucket underneath where scraps fall to avoid picking them up individually, let gravity do the cleaning
