With my husband in Afghanistan, the freezer died, the roof is leaking, the van breaking down....6 frustrated kids and mom. I'm clinging to Jesus and songs like this. Thankyou very much!
I played this for a girl bc she has been going through so much. The night before she began crying and telling me about everything. The father of her soon to be baby left her. So she cried on my shoulder and we cried together for so long that night and fell asleep in each others arms. When we woke up she woke up smiling. I made her breakfast and sang this song for her. Everyone pray for this situation. I pray I'll be the best substitute of a father I can be. -3
Quite possibly one of my favorite songs of all times. I sit here singing this song to my newborn son while rocking him to sleep and know that God's love is so powerful and immeasurable.
This is a song I haven't heard in a while, I feel like crying in God's shoulder right now, too. Right now, I have just started laying out plans for a story in which three (or maybe four) girls are trying to find themselves "in an ordinary life" outside of roles they played as teen actresses in a film, they feel the world pulling them in a few different directions, and they need someone to help guide them. One of my main characters sees them and decides she wants to be the one to let them cry on her shoulder (also how this heroine's maternal instincts kick in, before she met the girls she questioned whether or not she'd be any kind of capable "mother" figure). I think I've just found the perfect theme for their story. :)
The song really helped me know how much Jesus is there for me. When I thought I committed the blasphemy of the holy spirit, I feel Jesus's arms around me. I knew that he would never leave me, nor forsake me

@MeadowLark8 stay strong girl, we may not know each other but i know that you are a strong mother, wife, and women. Songs like this are inspirational, but your comment is even more inspirational. I know that it may be hard for you now but when it's all over your children will understand what you have had to endure for them and your husband will be home soon, god bless him (and you and your family) stay strong ok, your unconditional love is beautiful!
I understand that this song is touching and very inspiring, but it has nothing to do with god or jesus. He is simply saying in the song that he will comfort the person he is singing to. Why people keep saying "God DOES listen" and "Jesus is always with us" doesnt make much sense (even though Im christian) its a song by the artist, if jesus himself was singing it then maybe your comments would make some sense. Give the guy who wrote and sang this song some credit would ya?
this song is the story of me and my boyfriend's and how we met and started dating my boyfriend really did rescue me and has loved for life it's quite remarkable really

I just found out I can't have kids. The one things I want most in life. It hurts but this song helps me get through it.
