In this episode we rip out a lot of Papillon's interior, and get her BROKEN rusty chainplates removed. For those who are curious what CHAINPLATES are...they are the VITAL element that keeps your mast up!
We also take a few days to hike and attempt to CONQUER VOLCAN TACANA! The 2nd largest volcano in all of Central America.

Check out the Duracell Project for chain plates. I know others have also done it, but they're the ones I recall first. Magic Carpet I believe did it too.
Ahh yep. I’ve been following them both for a bit! Lol We are going a little crazy with hull grinding, chainplate grinding/polishing and teak work all in a day, every day. But everyday we get a LITTLE bit closer!!
