Unique gauge is a gauge. It's not a button for the enemies to seal. Enemies seal cards, rushes, main abilities, lock characters in cuz they are things that you press on to register the input. Have you ever seen an enemy that seals vanishing gauge? I doubt that you even play DBL. So, pls stay out of this.

A new type of unique equipment I could see coming some time in the future is something like a "complimentary" unique equipment- an equip that can be used by a wide array of tags, but all the powerful effects are locked behind having a specific character as a battle member. For example, the first unique equipment will be for LF SSJ Goku (DBL62-04S) and the second unique equipment will be for any Frieza saga or saiyan character, with the third slot having a "following effects activate if DBL62-04S is a battle member:" condition.
For him to be relevent.
He needs to introduce a nullify counter unique gauge effects mechanic

What’s a plat is gonna do for him? He will still remain strike based and this game seems to love spamming strike countering bums relentlessly or stopping combos, the one thing he needs to do like drugs.
Unless they give him 50% damage reduction or something so he doesn’t get instantly smashed into dead meat by his son then I don’t see any dimension where he’s gonna be usable lol

I can see the second one being for ginyu force, or like planet namek saga overall, so that they can also spark back ginyu as a whole

This might sound strange for a melee unit but I think it would fit him and the meta greatly to have the effect of force drawing a blast on switch-in. This way he can not only deal with strike counters and covers but also would give him good gauge synergy since his is a ki charge type and that's always more effective after using blasts. He'd have an easier time starting combos and it's a pretty basic ability to provide on a unique equipment meaning they can add many more helpful effects.
I actually second this. There really is a difference between charging ki after a strike and blast art. That alone would make up for the damage difference for drawing a blast instead of a strike.
If that green gives him neutral that he definitely can cook, yeah he gonna get counter but it not that easy he got cover nul and CDS on top so he can be dangerous

I hope his unique equipment is pure 🔥 because I LOVED this character when he released, I don’t use him anymore, but I’ve always wanted to make a team with him in it.

If we HAD to factor into including a one-time vanish reduction like UVB (like everyone here agrees, there most likely won't be a vanish steal), maybe it could activated ONCE when activating a green card with a full gauge?
It's just a theoretical, but it'll make it decently easier to start combos and work into the lock-in without overshadowing the newer releases.
The reason I'm not mentioning the sub count increase is because to me, there seems to be a sort of parallel between newer Nameku and the latest Super Vegeta, but they both achieve the sinilar results in different ways. At least thats the vibe I got, eh.

Since this is prob an hint for the anniversary, I'd say the second Unique Equipment is for LF Pikkon/Gogeta or LF Super Vegito.
The reason I am thinking about those 2 is because last year we also got 2 plats for LFs before the legends festival, which were actually an hint for the Legends Limited Characters:
OP---> Red Beast
Z Duo---> Evoken
So if we follow this rule, Namek Goku would be an hint for a LF God Goku who later becomes Super Saiyan, and LF Super Gogeta/Super Vegito would then hint the fusing Super Vegito.
Nameku 2.0 was so fin to use on release too i had him at three stars and was killing evrything
Ngl kinda happy for this. Been using him a lot and he's super fun to use. To bad he can't tank at all. So hopefully they increase his defenses.
He was kinda known for his defense a while ago too, but now because of ultra gohan, his defense is sadly laughable

As a new name proposal to distinguish this goku from the others I posit:
Neo-Namek Goku (neo = new or recent)
Nueva-Namek Goku (for the spanish bros)
The other plat equip might also be for REV ui or Gamma 1 and 2 but that's just me
Idk if theyll give him two unique equipment if so that's crazy cause hed be the first modern esc character to get his unique equipment and then his second unique which is crazy cause i mean lf bardock needed his unique after his release he only needed one so if it is crazy moment in unit history

Maybe 1 equipment is offensive orientedand the other one is defensive oriened, and you can only choose 1 route. That would be interesting to see

Maybe the old namek goku is the one who will get that second equipement, the combo old/new seems to be a good idea
This unit is just very aesthetically pleasing, wish he was power house and a bit more tanky.

I don’t think he’ll be able to have any impact unless he can nullify or have a work around for all of the strike counter gauges. Maybe whenever he enters the battlefield those types of unique gauges reduce by 70% or something.

I think he should have a ability to prevennt from taking hits instead of really tanking.
I mean, only 1 character that "can" really tank in this game rn (bombku) and he doesn't really tank that much, he pretty much just restores hp everytime. I think if they gave this lf namek goku a ability to lock blue cards or destroy the enemy's hand when he use a card or something like that would help him really much against ultra gohan. making a character that couldn't tank that well on 2023 tank in 2024 with only equipments is impossible. maybe 35% more base defenses and locking blue cards or destroying the enemy's cards would be a good start.

Not expecting much. His main gimmick is to string combos with his gauge but every single meta units prevent him from doing so. It is not like the unique equip can give him "melee gauge counter inmunity"

@@JACQUEZJOHNSON23 90% of the time even zenkais do nothing UNLESS they run alongside the brand new ultra, outside of that it's just giving bench buffs cause this game refuses to allow any other characters to be good besides the brand new ultras that you have to have or else your a chump. Games so money hungry no wonder why dooogote quit, he's making videos on the awful choices of this game and it's so satisfying to watch someone finally critique this game.

Maybe they forgot the newer Namek Goku was an LF? 🤣 Also I disagree that he was that overwhelmingly good on release. He definitely had potential to snowball really well, but you had to be exceptional at charge stepping to do so. Out of top ranks, people would constantly just accidentally drop his combo and then he'd die super fast cuz even on launch he was paper thin. I'm pretty mediocre at the game so I remember pulling him on launch and basically not being able to do anything with him.
