Emotional watching this. It’s funny the fomo you get when someone recalls their Ironman race this way. I’ve cheered at our local Ironman race and that finisher chute at night gives chills. Congrats to you.
Strange how watching this video of a lady I do not know and will most likely never meet, has a 54 year old man in absolute tears !! I am so proud of you for this accomplishment and I just love you guys!!! keep putting out these great videos. you guys are the best !!!!
Fair play to you Chanel! First time doing a triathlon and its an Ironman?!! That's damn brave and impressive. I was there at Copenhagen too, was an awesome day and the supporters helped so much. Glad you finished and felt that sense of achievement. Big respect!
What a beautiful, eloquent, fabulous collection of thoughts about a truly wonderful achievement. I could identify with so much of the journey and rollercoaster of emotions. It was indeed a very special day and one that can be treasured and cherished for ever.
Congratulations, chapeau to you! Some achievement - I’m not going to lie, I had a tear in my eye watching that. Really impressive, the sheer character you’ve shown to complete that is immeasurable. Respect…. 👊🏻
Dude, I started crying watching you run that last sprint to the finish! Wow! You are an IRONMAN! I have zero triathalon experience and I'm training for an Ironman 70.3. I've been so worried, but watching your story just now has encouraged me so much! Thank you for overcoming!
Amazing Chanel! I've followed Alex for a long time but recently had been busy with my own IM training and missed you were doing this. I was also at CPH doing my first Ironman and im in the video. Im the guy in pink and blue at 7mins 21seconds - the finish really was emotional! Glad you enjoyed it and look forward to toeing another start line with you. After seeing what he did in the #Sub7 project I hope to never see Alex destroy us all on a TT bike on an IM course!!
as someone who only does sprint tri's but has been avidly watching you prepare for this, I honestly watched this with tears in my eyes. you did amazingly Chanel, Idk know how you fit this in your life but you're phenomenal! What an ironwoman
Inspirational. Thanks for posting! Really good to hear what’s going on inside your head and your description of the physiological effects of the IM. I have my first in a month (Barcelona) and I’m as nervous as hell!
So amazing Chanel well done. Such an achievement compared to the last time I ran with you to the sky tower at midnight :) Hehe. You definitely are one lady who puts her mind to something and does it. 1.24swim for that distance is amazing!!!!!
I am three months into this exact goal. My wife thinks I am crazy. I have marathon experience, one also with zero training or experience, but other than that no triathlon or endurance experience. Next November the Panama City iron man is my goal. This video is great motivation. Thank you and congratulations!
Huge congrats. I think I may have seen you at the start with Alex as I completed my first IM that day too. Amazing day all round. Broken now though (physically and economically) 🤣
Awesome. Well done. I signed up for the Ironman in Sweden this August. Never done a triathlon before. I'm unsure about the cycling stage. And not sure about a few things like if I'll need a wetsuit for the swim etc. But I'm learning, and training. I'll do it too. Your video is inspirational :)
Is it bad that I balled my eyes out to this video 🤦🏼♂️🥺 After Following you for a number of years , you’ve inspired so many of us in many different ways. You’ve gone from Alex’s partner to Chanel the ironwomen!! You should be so proud of yourself 👌🏼 🏊♂️🚴🏃
Well done Chanel! This race was my first Ironman too. words can't describe how happy I was to get that final green wristband on the run!! 😀 I actually remember seeing you on the bike near the end of the first lap (can just about make me out on Alex's vlog footage!)
Well done, massive achievement - hats off to you. There's an IM79.3 in Taupō, NZ. Cannot see myself travel that far but, if I ever do; racing in NZ tops my bucket list.
Done alot of silly stuff but yeah the ironman distance is hardcore. The run is physicaly tough when evey muscle is cramping but its mentaly you'll win. Great respect to anyone one who does not come from a very sporting background ans decides to do this challenge. Well done Channel
Thought the videography and editing was fantastic inspirational that you managed to do this really liked the insight about how you felt you were there for someone else perhaps due to supporting Alex so often?
what's the biggest takeaway from this you've learnt and would apply to training, or if you were to do another race ? Fitness, nutrition, mental state... how to run and vomit at the same time..
Dear God, what a picture! Humans are strange creatures, to willingly put themselves through this. I can see the rewards but I'm not sure it is worth the cost.

Just sat here in floods of tears watching this. Got my first 70.3 in less than 3 weeks and feeling so inspired🙌
Fantastic achievement Chanel. When you’re grey and old this will always be here for you to look back on and go, I did that, that was me 🙌🙌
Some superb support crew work in action
That made me laugh! I've seen your video of your side already ...

An overused word but the effort you put in was AWESOME!!! I hope you are feeling better now and you should wear your medal on every possible occasion!
That was REALLY emotional! And real.

I like that you're wearing a sub7 swim cap underneath your Ironman cap 👍
This was just awesome Chanel, it tracked the race on the Ironman app (its rubbish). Astonishing really, what an achievement 👊🏻
Got me wanting to push myself again it's been far too long since I have!

Welcome to the club :-) I didn't get the tattoo, maybe because I want another crack at one...
Great fucking job! It was a grind outthere! I did it myself as my first IM, maybe we ran right past each other! :) Life-changing for sure.
What's the name of the song ?
fuck yeah! awesome
