Request you to let me know how the club decides which candidate is good for pistol or rifle...what is the criteria...I would like to know how a new shooter should decides, who completed basic course, to know which weapon is good for him to choose a particular discipline.
The shooter decides what s/he would like to shoot. There are 3 categories in shooting: - Rifle - Pistol - Shotgun Each category has 3 events (for e.g. the rifle category has 3 events - Free Rifle 3 position, 10m Air Rifle [men/women] and 10m Air Rifle mixed) and for competitive shooting a shooter can choose to compete only in one category. If possible, I suggest you shoot each of these categories and pick your favourite. Every category has it's challenges which makes every event unique in it's own way. Hope that answers your question.
