I listen to this to lighten the weight on my shoulders during my tours in afghanistan after i lose one of my marine i sit in my bunk put this on and cry and pray that i get back home safely its a very peace bringing song thank you
I'm a 71 year old Vietnam vet and this song stirs my soul. Just like when I grew up, no A/C "windows rolled down" driving down a country road between cornfields. Need more music of this caliber.
Amos I'm from Madison Wisconsin, I've been in love with your song windows are rolled down for at least 20 years now I don't have money to buy a ticket to your show but I'm playing this song and every open space I can so that you can get other people to come.
The ultimate song of faith. At the lowest to the highest when he finds the saving grace of our Lord. Notice the "sunrises" beautifully alliterate his climb to saving. Genius - inspired - by God.
I discovered this song this past summer (2023) while on vacation in Seattle and the Cascade Mountains!! It kept playing on my nephews playlist & I fell in love with it !! I’m 68 years old and had never heard of Amos Lee before!! How is it that he escaped me all these years?? This is my favorite Amos Lee song and I find it so uplifting and inspiring and beautiful and heartfelt!!
:) I found Amos about 7 years ago when I was getting over heartbreak. I adore his music and I used to live in Port Angels, WA about 2 hours from Seattle and now live near the Cascades in Oregon! I'm once again listening to Amos Lee and Ray LaMontagne to help heal a devastating heart break.
Just learned of this song & I’m encouraging a man that is making a Vietnam Veteran documentary about my husbands unit to include this song (of course with permission m). The windows rolled down could also represent the vets in the choppers in’Nam. I love the pictures you included with the song, including the lyrics!
Is it just me? This song is so uplifting, mentally, physically and spiritually...can't get enough of it. My new favorite artist.
Mine too!
Up lifted also!
Seriously takes the edge off a bad day

Thank you for your service. I'm so glad this song comforted you during those lonely days. God bless you and the country you fight for.
I pray you made it home safely to those who love you!
God Bless you & your service. I’m sorry for the loss of your buddy. My husband is a combat Vietnam vet with the Manchus-they daw a lot of action too.
God hears your prayers

I want to THANK You for serving
Thank you for your service, John, from a 69 yr old woman of that generation. 🇺🇲
My soul too is taken aback when I listen to this song. I remember watching that terrible war unfold on TV as a young child and thinking "why?"
Thank you!
I love your comment as much as I love this song…Love and Light to you❤️💫
