Best video of the collection I've seen. The logo for the museum incorporates a drawing I did while working in Harrah's Art Department, I designed three sets for the original HAC, my favorite was for the "Dean" and it featured the car on a drive-in theater ramp. The man in the logo is Larry, one of our photographers in the art department.
I’m a little biased because I love old cars and history. This is one of your best! Thank you!
Love classic cars. My dad owned a 1938 Packard when he was young in the 1940s. It was long gone by the time l was born but l have pictures of it.
40 years ago when i was 10 I went to Harrah's just to see James Dean's 49 Mercury. When I found out it wasn't on the floor I was devastated! My parents had dropped me off while they gambled, and I was at a complete loss. A very long story short I met one of the mechanics there, and he took me to a single garage, and there it was! The car had been worked on, and they were moving it to a larger shop on the property. He drove it only a block to the next garage, and let me ride in the passenger seat. This is a very long story extremely condensed and 40 years ago. But to this day top three best days of my life! Your videos are amazing bu the way :)
That's awesome!
🤩
Childhood enthusiasm, 100% pure.
James Dean's movie car was a modified 50 Mercury with a two inch chopped roof. It was customized just for Rebel Without A Cause.
@@wesleycook7687 That I did not know. That's awesome!
Wonderful production! I learned to drive on a 1961 Corvair Lakewood station wagon that my dad rebuilt. When my brother smashed up the front end Dad welded a 1955 Rambler grill on it.
My daughter and I got to ride in Jimmy's (Rebel) '49 Merck! At the time Harrah's owned the museum. They opened the museum early for us that day and we had a private showing of some of the cars. (Long story!) They treated us so special and sitting where Natalie sat was a thrill! The front seat was 'bouncy' and the car had an 'old odor' to it. The car had its own mechanic. When he took down the velvet ropes and told us to step in, we just squealed with delight and could hardly believe we'd get to ride in it, let alone have a private tour! (They also let us sit in Elvis's cars, too!) Somewhere, I have photos of us in 'Jimmy's Merck'. Your Fairmont vlogs are totally awesome!👍🏻
I love seeing old classic cars. Amazon museum. Thanks Jordan for posting
I well remember seeing THAT 1973 Cadillac El Dorado ( 21:44 ) back in 1979 at a car dealership megaplex in Baton Rouge. My uncle was the sales staff administrator there and he arranged for me and his sons to have our pictures taken INSIDE the car!! Also displayed with the car at the time were an acoustic guitar Elvis owned and a silk concert tour jacket, with the famous "TCB" lightning bolt logo, featuring his blurred autograph. So cool to see the '73 Caddy again, after all these years.
Visited once while on business in Reno. Don't miss this museum. It's one of the best of its kind.
When I was a kid working in a cotton field in Sand Mountain, Alabama I used to see an air cooled Franklin drive by our farm and boy did I sure want that car
Thanks once again Jordan...Harrah's had a museum near the Nugget in Sparks for years that was at least three times larger. After Bill Harrah died and I believe Holiday Inn Corp bought them they sold off quite a bit of the collection. I worked for Harrah's Reno in the mid to late 70's and Mr. Harrah was always around...When Reno was a popping' town, the good ole days.
This is a first. I've been to this museum a few years ago. It's an amazing place. I even have a blue coffee mug from here. Thanks Jordan for bringing us here. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Now that's a great museum! Thanks Jordan for showing us around!
Such an awesome museum. Love how it is set up with city streets, service station just takes you to another time. Thanks for sharing :-). Great choice Jordan!
That...Was.....AWESOME!!!! I love old cars and that was "old car overload". Amazing collection. If I am ever in the area, I will be stopping there. There is no telling how much money is under that one roof in that collection alone, including that amazing building. Another great vlog topic/location. LOVED IT! Thanks Jordan!
Wow, what a great museum. The cars are beautiful, especially the 1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, it looks very futuristic. The cars all look immaculate and brand new. Thanks for taking us there, awesome Vlog.
This was very entertaining! I wish I could go back in time for a day to see these cars in action. My personal fave was the Mary Pickford car. What a selection to view!
Loved the tour. I know i'll never get to visit this place. So, it was nice to have this visit. Thank you
Absolutely fantastic! Back when cars had style and class.
And before the Robinson Family, Major West, Dr Smith and the Robot (pictured in your avatar, or whatever that little image is called), were Lost In Space! :)
@@tomc8617 HahHaha!!! Very true! 😁
...and not oversized tomato soup cans.
James Dean, Elvis, Sinatra, Gable, Sammy, The Duke..My God, it's like you found the garage of the "Cool!" Another can't miss vlog! Aces again.
nice job Jordan! I love this video
LOVE older cars.
Great job as usual Jordon. Thank you!
I have been thru the Henry Ford museum many times. Thanks for sharing this video
I love the layout of that museum. So many unique cars with stories attached to them. I have an emotional attachment to all of ma past cars as they evoke memories. Thank you for taking us there.
My dad and I loved cars. When he was a kid @ nite he'd try to tell make and model of a car by the tail lights. Of course in the 30's and 40's they didn't have iPads or even tv LOL. This vlog sure brings back the memories of my dad. Thanks
My personal favorite car in the museum, Frank Sinatra's L6.4 Ghia Coupe 24:53 .Very unique character in styling, using rectangles to create a smooth and symmetrical style of its kind. Absolute beauty!
Thanks, Jordan for this incredible walk down memory lane. And thanks for the steadiest hands-on UA-cam. Your videos are just amazing.
Just an incredible value for 12 dollars. Cant believe how awesome this museum is. Thanks Jordan.
Fantastic job, Jordan. I think my fondness for the celebrity determined my favorite automobiles. The Rebel car and John Wayne’s Corvette rocked!!!!
Wow Jordan, a great collection of old and very unique cars. My Dad and I went to a car museum back in the 70's that was in Sparks, Nevada...when I searched Google for it this one came up. Maybe this museum replaced it. I have car enthusiasts in my family...brother-in-law with a model A Ford now fully restored and my Uncle restored Cars for a living. So I really enjoyed this vlog! 🚘🚗🚖🚕🚔
Wow I just loved looking at all those fantastic automobiles. They really knew how to make them back then. Now there is no character to them. They were magnificent. I will definitely be watching that a couple of times. Thank you
Lovingly restored, polished for people to view and enjoy. If those cars could talk, maybe they do with the wear and tear (Sammy's) I like the township look, I noticed the hats as you walked by. A very cool vlog indeed. Thank you Jordan...enjoyed :)
Well Done Jordan! I've always wanted to go to the Harrah's Car museum. My former boss had tracked down a car .. a Bugatti.. I believe a 1932 for Bill Harrah back in the 70's for his collection. SO COOL. have a good day Jordan! Thank you
Thanks for showing this museum it was very interesting
Jordon I loved seeing these old cars !, you are doing a great job, I love everything you do !!
What a cool vlog today! I want to go see this place in person!! The way the entire museum is designed is so unique. That '64 Volkswagen has been one of my dream cars since a kid I went to H.S. with had an old one-yes, really. lol AAk! I knew the Rebel car before you even said it. Every vlog involving Jimmy I fangirl out, so you KNOW I'm LOVIN' this. How much do you think the museums total worth would be? Unbelievable. Thanks soso much for taking us here.
Fabulous condition. Considering some of the really old ones have leather fenders.
Edit:
I expected to see Jay Leno lurking around under a hood somewhere.
Great job!! Very interesting and thanks for taking us along!!
My two brothers traveled to Reno from Rochester, New York in 1983 to see the Harrah collection. I had my picture taken with the James Dean 49 Mercury. I stepped over the rope for a better picture, and a voice came over the PA telling me to get away from the car. We went 2 years in a row. What a treat. I've been to Fairmont, Ind. twice for the James Dean car show, visited his home and grave site. I've owned my 1950 Mercury Coupe for 51 years. Still drive it several times a week. Won 1st place at a car show last week. I'm a hardcore Mercury nut. Thanks for the video. Nothing but good memories.
The money in this place, these cars are priceless.
This was wonderful to see, you always do a wonderful job at museums. The Al Jolson Cadillac and EP Cadillac were awesome. Thank you.
I loved seeing the Rebel Without A Cause car and the classic set up of the museum! Awesome vlog today, Jordan!
I like your channel 💜
Apparently Macchio himself owns the yellow 1947 Ford he "waxed on, waxed off". Awesome vlog, Jordan.

Great place to visit. Hope to see more historical museums.
Being a car nut I really enjoyed this one! Thank you Jordan!!
Great video, veth educational and entertaining. Thank you so much I really enjoy you videos.
Thanks for a really comprehensive tour. I’m glad you took time to read the information on each to give us a better understanding. It was cool to see the James Dean “Rebel” car. One of my favorite movies.
I like the cars from the 1950s especially the rock and roll era
Wow what a collection of cars! Fantastic
Sitting here in Coronaville quarantined, I came across this video. My best friends dad worked for Bill Harrah and did all of the chrome and brass work on all of his old cars in the late 60's, 70's and 80's. I have been to this museum when it was called Harrah's Automobile Collection. What a treat to see this video. Thank you!
L
I love all the car museum vlogs. Carl Casper is my cousin so its always fun for me to see these. Thanks Jordan👍🏻😎
Great video. My husband and I visited the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento, California. they have cars on display that were used in filming productions and also cars owned by famous celebrities. We also visited a car museum in Las Vegas as well. Which also has cars from famous production.
Jeez, what a collection and layout, price seems reasonable too. Nice vlog
Can't sleep. Watching liberace. Wow he was the ultimate collector..and truly seemed to enjoy the chase and acquisition of these exquisite pieces of history.
U R right up my alley now Jordan love classic cars and definitely movie car's looks like fun have a good one Joe 😁

The James Dean car was a 1949 Mercury sedan, used in Rebel Without A Cause, in 1955.
Those cars 🚗 are no less then awesome!🕶🙌🤘👏🙌👊👍
Just stumbled across, watched, liked and subscribed.... I wish that my granddad would've saved his 1938 Cadillac from his youth, would've loved have it today! Great video and some BEAUTIFUL cars and motorcycles!
Greetings from a Swede in the UK! 🤜🏻🤛🏻🍻
Sinatra's car is a rare Italian built Chrysler Ghia. Dino had one as well.
Important fact; the black James Dean car is a 1949 Mercury.
Can tell you're not a car guy, but that's ok. : ) Great museum!
💋Gorgeous cars! I love these older models. Safe travels Jordan. ~Love and Light 💖Carli
That's an amazing museum. So many beautiful and cool looking cars - in pristine condition. Nice.
What an awesome museum. One thing the United States do better then any other country I know of is preserve their history. Americans love their museums like no others and for this alone makes it a great travel destination. Thanks for sharing and making me add this to my bucket list of things to see in retirement.
Nah the U.K. do it better look at all our amazing old building etc we have over here .
Thank you for giving this tour of such a great car museum. I really appreciate the look at James Dean's 1949 Mercury. I have always liked the '49 Mercury (mainly the stock models) not the low rider tricked ones. But at 75 due to low vision I don't drive any more. But thank you again for the tour.
Hi Jordan, WOW! all that for $12, I love the old background music in the old section. I really like the old Rolls Royce's, real CLASSICS! How sweet was little Mary Pickford's car, you can just see her tootling around Hollywood in that. WOW, what a way to end a vlog, the CROWNING GLORY, Jimmy's car from Rebel, REAL HOLLYWOOD FILM HISTORY!! Great vlog Jordan.
Love, love, love this vlog! Thank you for taking us along.
The Vlogs are always special when you visit car museums but this one was especially so. I worked for the Harrahs company at the time they were acquired by Holiday Inn, and when they indicated they were going to sell off his car collection we were all sick. Bill had well over 1000 cars in his collection and we assume it was too expensive for Holiday Inns to continue to maintain it or they had no interest in it. So the majority of the collection went to auction and I believe they preserved around 170 cars or so to start the national automobile Museum so at least part of Bill‘s passion still exists! Thank you Jordan really enjoyed this episode!
*You've lost your mind!* *"Acquired' by 'Holiday Inn???'* *How long did you work for 'Harrah's Entertainment' and/or 'Promise Corp?' *BECAUSE 'HARRAH'S' BOUGHT 'Holiday Inns' 'Budget Suites' and a shitload of other worthless-ass entities in order 'write-off' capital-gains in the early 90's!* ( *The shyster lawyer Saffre that was fucking Bobbi Gentry fucked Bill too! About five-minutes after Bill died...'Willy Billy' incorporated in Delaware to sell stock to finance the Casino in Laughlin...and the 'SEC' came after him for 'touting false values of common-stock' because there were essentially no tangible assets...by the time it came-up for formal review, the Laughlin property was built and making a fortune in revenue...so 'no case to pursue'and it became moot*)
Fantastic vlog Jordan! I like seeing the old classic cars especially if it was owned by a celebrity or in a movie! Great job!
I love the James Dean car. All are great cars. And I love cars. Great video, Jordan.
Love these cars. I have been to the Ford Museum. Pretty cool!!! Great Vlog Jordan!!!! As usual.
I love classic cars and James Dean's car was gorgeous. Modern cars seem to look very similar these days.
I’m not a big car fan, but have really enjoyed all your auto museum videos. Wonder if the car from Sunset Boulevard is sitting in a museum somewhere? That would be a possible filming location. I know the house for the exterior shots is gone😖. Keep up the great work!👊🏻
Wow what a fantastic Museum with stunning cars , the layout is great ! Thank you Nice one Jordan ! ;-)
My favorite old is a 1959 Cadillac. I learned to drive in a 1958 DeSoto and my grandfather's 1956 Oldsmobile.
Thank you so much for sharing your videos with us Jordan, much appreciated! BTW, speaking of cars from the 30's-40's era, not sure if you know this, but there was a beautiful car that was driven by Burgess Meredith's character in 1941's Tom, Dick and Harry. The cars shown in this video were beautiful( Elvis's and James Dean's, John Wayne's, Lana Turner's) to mention a few, WOW!
What I'd give to own an elvis car an the James dean car is pretty sweet too.. thank you Jordan for all your great work I enjoy all your videos but elvis is my favorite.. much respect an always ⚡T.C.B ⚡
When you showed the Thunderbird, it reminded me of my mom, because when she was teaching school & going to college, she drove that thing til she wrecked it! She was not hurt, but it got 3 BIG dents in it! But, GREAT Vlog, Jordan. Lots of classic cars! And I saw on most of the cars it said, "Adopt a car"? what is that?
What an amazing collection of cars. The 2 seaters, the light on the car, reminds me of the old hearses with those lights. What a fun vlog. The Mercer was awesome. Thank you for so many incredible adventures. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁
I really enjoyed this, and the video you did with your grandfather in Dayton at the Packard museum ❤
One of your best blogs ever really enjoyed today. Greatness is showing
A great collection! Love that museum!
WOW That was a great Vlog! Mary Pickford owned a 1928 Ford Model A Sport Coupe? Thats cool! I agree; that James Dean Merc was the coolest! I love old cars, but I figured out a long time ago that it's best to love them and look and talk about them and leave the burden of ownership to someone else..
Well worth the wait! Love James Dean. Awesome
Awesome sauce Jordan. Very enjoyable vlog.
Jordan Bill Harrah had a home in Skyland on the NV side of Lake Tahoe on the shore of the Lake off HWY 50 going towards Zephyr cove .where many celebs stayed while performing @ Harrahs in South Shore Tahoe .Sammy Davis Jr daughter worked as a librarian for Douglas County NV Gardnerville Minden NV
The James Dean car is a 1949 Mercury, my dad has a 51. Beautiful looking cars
Been there in the 90s , Sammy's car has been restored since I was there. 👍👍
Not sure if it was mentioned before but Ralph Macchio was gifted that car and owns it. He drove it in the UA-cam series Cobra Khai recently.
Was lucky enough to see this Collection in 1980 or so .
Awesome tour--wow!! Thanks, Jordan!
Love cars one of my biggest hobbies is ogling cars, so I really liked this one. They have some really nice cars there, that sinatra car wow, many thanks Jordan
my family lived in reno in the early 80s and I have pictures of my family in the museum when it was owned by harrah's/holiday inn. Glad to see they saved some of the cars for this museum
Hey Jordan, I’m a Newbie 🇨🇦 here. Just catching up on your Vids ❤🫶. LOVE YOUR VIDS AND DOGGIE 🐶
This is so much nicer than 40 years ago we went to the museum it was literally like walking into a parking garage row upon row of cars of every conceivable make and model the shop was open to view the men working on restorations not really any gallery .
Great video, well done and very professional. Thanks for sharing.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GREAT VIDIO ,LOVE THE OLD CARS.
