- I see a lot of comments regarding vintage Ford V8's, stating that you can't run them properly on 6 Volts, you shouldn't use the stock ignition, etc.
That is all I have done for the last 48 years with mine...
(and yes, I do know that my engine needs a good cleaning). :O
I ran the engine this afternoon, added about two quarts of distilled water, and some "water wetter." The instrument panel video was taken with the engine at idle after being warmed up.
Hey Richard, sounds and looks clean. Sounds like solid lifters? Also, if you have nothing else to do, you might try washing the engine with Dawn dish soap and water. Makes it look new!

FH’s only had solids folks and setting the clearance was a pain.if you can’t very faintly hear them their too tight
