- hihiiiii my friendssss i found a kitttten!! last week i was walking to see my friend DJ by my place at around 10pm, her set ended up being an hour early last minute so i had to rush out. one of those serendipitous moments when plans that change are meant to be. the venue was only about half a mile from me and i was about halfway there when i saw these little eyes at the end of someones stoop. we made eye contact and this little kitten ran out to me and pretty much climbed onto my shoulder holding on tight. i was guessing he had to be someones so i waited outside there for about 20 minutes. no one was around but someone who stopped to see the cat suggested maybe it was one of the bodega cats on the corner. i went in and asked but he said he thought that this cat was a stray from up the block. i reallllly had to show face at this DJ set so i asked guy at the bodega if he could watch him for an hour, he agreed and the cat just chilllled on the counter haha. i wassss like lowkey stressed the whole time at the DJ set cause i thought the cat would be gone by the time i was back. i left righttt when it was over and sped walked back to the bodega, there he was just chillen in there. i bought some cat food and litter and brought him homeeee. my roommates and i brought him to the vet the next day to check for a microchip and get him deflee'd as well. i also posted on nextdoor and some other spots about a missing kitten. he didnt have a microchip, but the checkup + the flee medication and a blood test ended up being sooo expensive. someone who lives in the building next to where we found him reached out and said he was pretty positive that he's a stray thats been hanging around the last few months. so we're gonna go ahead with the vaccines and stuff to make sure he's all safe and honestly my friends he is the sweetest chillest cat i've ever met. i feel so lucky, i didn't think i wanted a pet right now in life but he truly popped into my life at the perfect time and i love himmm. were still deciding a name but currently thinking calling him "lamb" short for "lamb over rice" a lil thank u to the bodega guy who watched him. no pressure but we got some crazy kitten medical bills to cover if you'd wanna help out (i know there's much more important things to donate to) but anything would be super appreciated cause kittys initial vet stuff is wow wow expensive (my venmo: coulou_ ). thank you, love u all, life just keeps moving and change man it really just lands in your lap sometimes.

Beautiful music, as always, and I think the cat loved it, too. They enjoy being around gentle people. Did you know some cats, if introduced to halters early enough, quite like being brought for walks? If you had any park areas near you it might be worth investigating, because it looks like you don't have a garden. Just tossing ideas out there, but I'm sure you'll do great, based on what you said about the vet visit. Congrats on having a cat pick you out from the crowd. He knows how special you are.
