If I had £750, I would own a Jackson Soloist and a Line 6 Pocket Pod.
I owned the LTD EC 256 in satin Black. Awesome looking guitar. Not so good for quality. Needed a fret job right out of the box. I'm sure it was just bad luck. I also own an LTD MH 401 NT and an EC 400 faded black fade. They are really good guitars from Indonesia. I agree 100% with the Epi G400 as I Own one in Black and it is amazing! loaded 81/85 in it. The Jackson RR V is also in my stable but in Black with white accent. Also with 81/85 pickups. I got lucky with that axe as it played great out of the box.
I bought a te-401fm (an ltd tele) from thomann, cost me 1200nzd or roughly 700usd.. thomann accidentally sent me an esp horizon in the same color. So that solved my budget issue 😅
Great video though man. 🤘
Awesome mistake to happen Dude🤘
@@Scoopdoggydogg yee man, was crazy expecting a cheapish guitar and opening to see a premium hard case and horizon 😂.
@@DayneJ93 Jackpot 🤘🤘🤘
@@DayneJ93 So how much of a different was there in price ?
@@Scoopdoggydogg so in NZ the ltd I bought sells for 1200rrp brand new and the horizon sells between 2900 - 3200rrp. So pretty close to a 3rd of the cost. And wouldn't include a case also.
Any Lockdown tips Matt? My 8year old has killed my practice sessions man! Tranquillizers? 😂😂😂
Stay Safe n Healthy Brother 🤘🤘🤘
Ha ha ha ha oh god I think tranquillisers may be the way my friend ha ha thank you mate you too!
@@mattriffmaster it's getting to that stage 😂😂😂
The English riff beards and gear
I remember going into Guitarguitar one day with my mates and coming out with a Epiphone MKH Les Paul Custom haha !! I went in when guitar shops used to be open, remember that !! Seriously though , hope you and your family is well Matt ! Keep up the good work ! 🤘🏻
Ha ha nice! Thanks Mann! We are all well thank you hope you are all keeping safe 🤟🏻
For £750, I'd look at something like a Boss Katana 100 212, and something like a Squier Classic Vibe Tele...limited, yes, but it's the best way to learn how to sound great, with the bare minimum
Plus, that should leave room for pedals that aren't necessarily built into the amp, if you aren't able to adjust through the software
But that's me, and my bias towards the Katana, and Telecasters 😂😂
I've been playing guitar for about a year now and I think I'm gonna buy my first head-and-cabinet combination, probably a MESA boogie or a cheap marshall with a 1x12 v30 in it. What do you think my first head-and-cabinet combination should be?
HeyN Mesa are over priced and overrated ha ha How powerful are looking to get? 100watt? 50watt? 20?

The blackstar HT 20 MKII is an insane head
Try different amps before buying one. I myself have a Mini Rectoverb and love it! Used to play it through a Orange 2x12 and it could get really fukken loud. Now I hook it up with my computer and play it through Two Notes Wall of Sound. That said I've tried a few Blackstars too and didn't really dig the HT-series, but the AE 10 Series One that I have sound really good. After all it really depends on the music you play.
Im guessing that the no money no object challenge is only new gear available and not vintage, rare, or custom made stuff, right? And only guitar & amp+cab and no pedals? Just curious....🤔
for the budget nothing beats the Katana 100w its a fucking beast
Those Rhoads Vs despite there price are actually quite nice I've played a few and they've all been great, if you don't like that style of v I'd say JS32 King V is also great I've owned one for a while and a quick refinish and new pickups turned into an absolute monster not that it needed it the stock pickups aren't that bad
You have lot of esp ltd experience looking to get single cut lp style guitar should i chose gibson tribiut/studio or esp ltd one? I want to spend around £1000 thanks man
I’d say go esp/ltd mate
