I got a chance to use two of their models. I didn't want to like these, but I can't deny that for what they do, they do it very well. I'd have no problem using this as my main rack if need be.
Coop, minor point of clarity about the cable ratios mentioned in the video: Most Major Fitness racks use 2:1 ratios, whether it's dual independent trolleys or a single plate trolley (as of August, 2024). Only the folding F35 uses 1:1 ratios. So, whether you get the single trolley like their PLM03 or dual trolley like the F22 (or any smith options) you still get 2:1 ratio for the feel weight when using either side. But if you only have a single trolley like on the PLM03, you get 1:1 cable travel when using both sides at the same time (i.e. feel weight is still always 2:1 per side, just the cable travel distance is halved when using both sides at once). PS: Major Fitness does sell Aluminum pulleys as an upgrade option now!
Finally.. I've been waiting for the B52 review from your end - Coop! I recently purchased the B52 Smith Machine Rack and also purchased the dual select-a-size weight stack 170lbs each. I just got it delivered yesterday will be putting it together today hope you get your soon and add an update to the video.
@@xedillian3287 not really. I got the rep fitness rack with cables, plates, etc. I love it. Feels like something out of a nice commercial gym and not something ordered from temu/wish
@ but I’m building another home gym for my place in Houston (this one was for my place in San Diego). If you know of a quality steel rack let me know. I only know of rouge (all of their options are too tall) and rep fitness rack The others I looked into (ritfit m, major fitness, and firebird (something like that)) all were 14g and all comments about flimsy.
Excited to see the Vesta 3-in-1 review as well! But FYI you can get what seems to be the exact same rack from Harbor Heavyweights in their HH80 V2 for $500 less. Basically no reason to get the Vesta that I can see, so I feel like that should be covered or at least mentioned in that review.
I'm considering the B52. Would you be so kind to provide insight on a few of my concerns? How does the powder coat hold up? I hear it scratches easily. And that the swivel pulley tolerances get worse with use. Maybe adding rubber washers would solve that issue. I'm very conflicted on whether to go with Major Fitness or spend a grip on an 11 gauge rack, which is just overkill for me. Like you, I don't lift heavy.
@@texaho coop is dead on with his review. It's all just good enough. I don't bang and throw my weights around. I have had my f22 for 8 months, I use it every day for an hour , and there are no scratches and it doesn't sway like it's off balance. It functions just as good as anything I used in a local gym. I do have a nice rogue barbell to do bench press. I don't use dumbells much since cables are more effective at keeping constant tension on the muscle groups. It took me 4 hours to assemble myself, but I am mechanically inclined. one gripe is lat pull down is too short for me at 6 ft. I don't have a leg attachment so I kneel on the ground to do lat pull down. Pull up bar is fine, I can only do 4 right now anyway.
I really like the EonFit Omni racks. I really like how they have the cable and cable arms set up so you can make the cables narrower or wider. They are not the highest quality, but for the price, you can't complain.

They're similar to the Major Fitness smith options but with numerous minor advantages often not apparent at first glance, plus a lower price that overall makes them a better choice for most IMO.
i recently snagged the major fitness f16 power rack for $200 on prime day. The f16 is 2x2 13 gauge, so it can use any available 2x2 attachment. it has the the cool multi-grip pull-up bar as well as a straight one. i recommend.
Exactly! if you want to expand or add attachments and such over time, maybe not the best option. But if you want to get something cheap that gets the job done and that has all-in-one functionality, they have decent options for a relatively cheap price!
I've had the SML07 for a year. I bought the aluminum pulleys on eBay before Major Fitness offered them. Got them in red to match the rack. Just purchased the weight stacks. It does the job.
Just wanted to say, Major Fitness does offer aluminum pulley upgrades. They’re also coming out with an option to upgrade the pulleys to a weight stack system, which I personally love and wish all companies did. Save money on the front end and upgrade to the stacks down the road when you’re ready, great idea imo
Two things can be true at the same time. 1. These racks would do everything I need as a practical matter. 2. I would kick myself for cheaping out and buying any of them.
Exactly. I know myself will enough to know that if I bought one of these, I'd always have the nagging thought that I could have spent a little more and gotten better. Which is why I just bit the bullet and bought a REP PR-5000... overkill, but it's a piece of art I'll never want to replace.
Looks like they already have aluminum pulley option on the website. The b roll just shown of the attachments of the website shows Major Fitness pulley upgrade
They actually do offer an aluminum pulley kit. It would be cool if you reviewed some of the attachments too (ie leg extension, and delt raise etc). A lot of people must own these things so another possible review could be trying other companies attachments on the major doodie rack and vice versa just to see what is possible. Coop, are we going to get a review of the bells of steel all in one functional trainer rack? As far as budgets go nothing beats it, and it's quite compact. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it and the attachments as I may not have space for something taller I my new home's basement. Thank you!
Please always let us know if it takes standard 1 inch weight plates or not because some of us only use and have a bunch of standard 1 inch plates and not the 2 inch Olympic ones!
I've been looking at the Mikolo Power Cage with the dual independent pulleys (which I really like). Any thoughts on that vs something in this area? Just trying to get back into lifting.
I have one of the major lutie racks,it's good but one of the cables plastic coating exposed the metal, contacted the company and they sent me 2 new cables free.
11 gauge steel is overkill for most of us, but 14 gauge is a no-go. 12 is really the sweet spot for the majority of users. Really, the Bells of Steel All in One makes the most sense, even if it is only a half rack. I would never tell someone to get one of these with Bells options available.
Hey Coop, I’m new to your channel but have been really enjoying lately. Have you had any experience with Mikolo brand racks and smith machines? Thanks my man.
I recently bought a major fitness B52 smith machine. That means a lot to my family! Thanks for the information! I believe the aluminum pulley would be a great addition!
Worst part about the imo is the like 5" hole spacing.... in the bench area the absolute max should be 2" spacing. I think force usa g1 is a great option in this price range, but the spotter arms are very short
I'm looking to upgrade my rack safeties from pin-pipe safety, but I dont know which one of the other 2 options are best. I don't think that I will like the strap safety since the slack in the safety has me concerned about actually catching the barbell without the barbell rolling into me. I understand that I can angle or offset the strap hold-downs, but then I feel like I will be bumping the upper section of strap with the barbell when I come down on a rep. So I'm leaning toward flip-down safeties, but I know Coop as well as others have said they like the strap for various reasons, including that it's gentle on the bar, just not sure if that is a big enough reason, including for the primary purpose of safety, and then the flip-downs provide the ability to use or attach items to it. Could GGR do a "Short" or something on safeties? Or someone compare these a little better? My reason for upgrading is I'd like to add the Athena to my REP PR-4000 Rack, but I feel the pin-pipe safeties will take a while to remove and be a nuisance
Hey Coop! I appreciate the reviews. I currently have an old (20yrs at least) half rack with lat pulldown and low row and machine fly. The problem is the pulley/trolley system is so garbage I feel like I'm going to hurt my joints using the machine so I stick with free weights. I value the commercial feel smoothness but want a budget option. the dream would be a REP PR4000 for benching and pullups and their new arcadia max for functional trainer capabilities but I don't want to spend that much right now. Would these be good enough? My main concern is the pulley smoothness on the cables. Do they fight you on the concentric or feel like there's too much friction?
Hey coop, plzz review the Shogun Flex. I live in an apartamente so don't really have the espace for an actual home gym and the Shogun Flex seems like an alternative to save time and money in the medium term (at $624 for 2 it would be arround 2 years of gym membership where I live) as there is no membership or instalation and can be storaged in a drawer. I know its not perfect, at 88lbs wouldn't be enough for some excersises, but it's worth a review. ps: I feel like the reviews there are out there are sponsored
I think these would be great for say like a young person who wasn't making big bucks. They could use it for like 5+ years, and then if/when they make more money, they could buy a better one. If I was younger and starting out, that's what I'd do.
I've got a Valor BD-11 with single pulley in the back. I'm really interested in the F35 because it has two pulleys and folds up. Before I jump in on the F35, is there any other folding rack that has a pulley system (let alone two)? I haven't found one. Are you possibly overlooking how amazing that feature combo is while giving an otherwise tepid review? Or is the build quality so mediocre that this feature set doesn't overcome it? I ask that specifically compared to the quality of the Valor BD-11 (mine being kinda beat up by now).
Any recommendations on a functional trainer add on system for a T3 (2x3in) Rack? Was going to get the dialed motion sidewinder but they stopped the 2x3 trolley. Currently have a DIY setup with some pulleys and a center lat pull down low row, but would like a more designed solution but no one sells trolly for 2x3in posts.
My son is 10 and plays football. Looking at one of these for our home gym now that he is starting to use some weights. Is the Smith machine option worth it? 10x15 room so thinking the F22 for space. any thoughts? really enjoy your videos.
Price is good. Got kinda sketchy lifting heavy and you get what you get for the budget price. These racks are very light. Rack would get shaky racking and re racking heavy weight. Would have felt better about their racks if they used better steel and were all 3x3.
You get what you pay for. If they make a cheap functional trainer that might be worth it but for barbell work I would pass on major whatever they call themselves. I think Rit Fit is slightly better quality for about the same price. Also I disagree with Coop stating that the other cheap brands won't be around long. ER Kang, Rit Fit and Sydee keep making more and more products.
can you do a review on the racks from temu? I’m actually curious as to if they’re really the same quality and i keep hearing this conspiracy on them. Also what do you do with the racks that you review, do you give them away? I volunteer for the major fitness w/ the smith please 😭👋
I didn't realize they'd changed their name, so I thought you were attempting to review and compare all the major brands of racks in 13 minutes. I still hope you do that video eventually, but also hoping it's a lot longer than 13 minutes! These seem like decent racks, but I don't like the idea of being locked into an ecosystem due to the size of the uprights and their holes. I prefer the idea of being able to mix and match attachments from multiple companies because everyone has something a little bit different.
been eagerly awaiting your review of the f35 ever since I first saw an ad for it and then I saw it in the background of another video. really disappointed with this review being so short and covering like 10 racks instead of the f35. hopefully you do a full review of it before y'all throw it out

No, watch other reviews and pay attention to how the rack moves and rattles. And 2 to 1 on the high/low row won't come close to being enough. These don't cut it for even intermediate lifters. They are too lightweight. Coop is being too nice here.

It's all about what fits your needs and your budget so $1,000 machine from Major fitness is good enough for a majority of people. My son is 10 and plays football. Looking at one of these for our home gym now that he is starting to use some weights. Is the Smith machine option worth it? 10x15 room so thinking the F22 for space. any thoughts? really enjoy your videos.
Waiting for your review on rogues new functional cable trainer reviews! Hurry up
Your mustache looks glued on.
I was lucky and snatched the RQ4000 which is 3x3 11 gauge steel a few years ago. Looks like they no longer sell it.
Price is good. Got kinda sketchy lifting heavy and you get what you get for the budget price. These racks are very light. Rack would get shaky racking and re racking heavy weight. Would have felt better about their racks if they used better steel and were all 3x3.
How about reviewing some budget Mikolo racks and products? I know its bottom of the spectrum....but not many ppl can afford the $5,000 racks!
How do you estimate brand capital? Does it equate to how much Major Lutie paid pillar4?
Who else got hyped thinking this was the Rogue FM video ? 😂
what do you think of Mirafit racks UK
The mustache is epic
Anybody use safety straps on this? I mainly want it for the pulley system attached but attachment wise not a fan of
pls do a review on the Force USA MyRack SpaceSaver
They have selector plate upgrades now.
can you do a review on the racks from temu? I’m actually curious as to if they’re really the same quality and i keep hearing this conspiracy on them. Also what do you do with the racks that you review, do you give them away? I volunteer for the major fitness w/ the smith please 😭👋
Only 265lb capacity for the smith machine on a $1500 rack is my only drawback. Very disappointing
Is the vesta fitness coming ??? Vesta is the man
agree!! Been doing content for them for almost a year and can attest to that
Would like to see mikolo 3x3
Look at that luxurious mustache on Coop!
been eagerly awaiting your review of the f35 ever since I first saw an ad for it and then I saw it in the background of another video. really disappointed with this review being so short and covering like 10 racks instead of the f35. hopefully you do a full review of it before y'all throw it out
Major fitness sells aluminum pulleys
Coop powertec please! Or the gwnd lever gym
Hi Cooper please review the powertec multigym machine
Don't get it its overpriced
First. Wish those shipped here
Standout of this video is definitely the stache.
I’ll wait until it’s promoted to Lieutenant Colonel Fitness.
Work out an affiliate deal with bolt so you can do a review on their smoth machine!!
Hmmmm planning stage currently… my brain and wallet says yes but my heart still says no……
Looks like they name most of their products after US Air Force planes. F-16, F-22, F-35, B-52, and B-2
This dude always looks like a mini version of Mitchell Hooper, Like if you look up Mitchell Hooper and compare the two, They look alike and I mean Mitchell Cooper Hmm!
You should change your channel name to garage gym snob.
Not first!
Look how he talks! They're okay they're good enough it'll work out it's just fine. I guess the affiliate link contract didn't work out as intended for his benefit
Yes they are good enough. They're functional and will accomplish what 99% of people need.
No, watch other reviews and pay attention to how the rack moves and rattles. And 2 to 1 on the high/low row won't come close to being enough. These don't cut it for even intermediate lifters. They are too lightweight. Coop is being too nice here.
@@balboa0621 mine doesn't move or rattle. I'm not strong, max bench 175 lb, so the 2 to 1 is fine for me. If you are strong this is not the machine for you.
@@balboa0621 I don't need to look at a video because I have experience and I know that those machines are good for most of the people and I mean 90%. You can read a reviews of owners. I think you are a fan boy or your 350 lb of pure muscle athleticism and a 1% talent ..... I doubt it. It's all about what fits your needs and your budget so $1,000 machine from Major fitness is good enough for a majority of people. If you have $10,000 to spend then you should spend $12,000 on every affiliate link he has to offer but most people don't have that type of budget. Now I'm not here to challenge you or your fandom so don't get your emotions caught up. Everything is subjective and the fact is he is using language that is disrespectful and not a true indicator of the language he should use. He chooses his words openly to be disrespectful because what exactly is a budget or cheap or affordable? It's all about your household income so he can use better words but he's an affiliate guy and that's fine but you don't have to cheer for him because he's a millionaire or close to it. Relax buddy.
