I'm a carrier of this disease which is super rare. At birth the male would need a liver transplant due to missing blocks in the X chromosome. A female would only need a liver transplant depending on how severe her case would be. Amunol, Arginine and Citrulline are 3 crucial amino acids needed to keep the ammonia levels down. My oldest son was, at the time, his genetic doctor's 3rd case in the 22 years she had been a specialist. That syringe looked empty for some reason😆
My brother's not gay Kathleen, he's a singing man
I didnt get the male flame thing. Someone could explain please?
I guess his own obsession for a perfect reality ended with him losing his most closest friend we can all learn something from seeing what happens when you become too possessive over another human we all say this is my brother this is my sister it's almost like we're saying this is my car this is my couch the level of possession is subconsciously the same if I am wrong please tell me
"What else could cause his estrogen levels to be that high?"
Well I can think of: A) He's taking estrogen, or B) He's a woman.
0:27 Estrogen and Testosterone levels can be artificial.. 🙄
But if you don’t tell your doctor they don’t know is the problem.
It was the medication he was on. For his blood pressure. It fucked with his head, but he’s over that now. He could probably get a letter from Dr. House.
???
@@alcidedragon I take it you never watched The Sopranos
@@colindragan9352 I just don't understand your sentences
"Never been tried on a human. It could kill him."
"What's the difference? He's dead without it."
Yeah good luck using that as your defence at a medical tribunal lol. Just because somebody is dying anyway doesn't mean it's ok to administer treatment that causes death. I'm not saying these guys weren't doing the right thing, it's just so funny how he was so blase about it like that's a genuine thing doctors would just brush over with no more than half a second's thought.
They should test the drug on rapists and murderers that way it'll give them faster results that way instead of helpless dogs
True but House also understands that the risk is worth it even if it may kill him it could make him better too.
Would love to know what other healthcare professionals think about this. I often end up rolling my eyes at popular hospital-based dramas because they depict the doctors as literally doing everything. Scenes such as Chase preparing and administrating the IV medication here are unrealistic as this is the job of a nurse. Nurses and other members of staff play a huge role in hospitals, but never get the credit they deserve on screen. Or, are some job roles different in the United States?
literally thank you. i love house md but i’ve never seen a doctor on my floor ever just the nurses doing everything and i live in the united states😭 i’m sure for other hospitals this might be true
Chase is like an angel.
I can't remember, it was so long ago, was he the snitch?

In my experience always suspect the one that admits he didn't do it.
House: "what else could make his estrogen levels that high"
Me:" birth control, maybe he's trans??"
Also the hormones trans people get after they get surgery to reassign their gender
@@lina-uy1to ye some transwomen who aren’t outtake birth control for the estrogen because they can’t get prescribed hormone treatments, I think that’s what OP meant
I thought the same thing.
@@lina-uy1to Before surgery, actually. But yes.
Right?!
I hated this episode due to the lack of knowledge on OTC. If the male had OTC it would have known at birth. OTC is a urea cycle defect where the liver can not properly break down protein. That's exactly how rare it is and no it will not go away with a change of diet for males only females.

Since when do doctors push or hang IV drugs? Not in this universe ... "Nurse!"

so it wasn't poisoning from the ant-smoking thing?
Yes and no...
He was consuming lozenges to help him to quit smoking... they were from China, so the ingredients were in Chinese, one of which is the estrogen.
He did 20 years in the can, ate grilled cheese off the radiator
I wonder if there's actually a doctor out here who's like House ?!?!?!
Yes watch the show diagnosis...she was consulted f o r house
I have met a few doctors who are much more rude than House is, but I don't know about their intellectual abilities.
I mean, House is rude and all granted, but he could definitely walk his talk. I met others who were much worse, and uh, idk man
Frabrizzio!! He's alive!!
wow an upload and i'am here at the time of upload wowow
