Man is that cool or what? I was thinkin American Graffiti when you started this build. Then out comes the yellow! Awesome job as always!!! Keep em comin Bob,watchin and learnin!!!!
I worked for 37 years at Ford Motor Company as a electrician. We had a saying there I have done so much with so little that I am now qualified to do anything with nothing You proved that with all your great builds Thanks love watching
Bob it's coming along nicely so far. Really good video this week. Can't wait to see more videos soon Bob. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
I really like the wheel and tire combination. You and Don killed it with the tire mounting. Nice to see old school tire mounting being performed, and without using tire irons. Very impressive. This is your project Bob, paint it the way you like it. The rest of us will just be jealous
RRB, love the no-tools tire mounting segment along with the #9 wire tutorial including straight(ening) tips from the master! I'm a wait and see on the mellow yellow but I've always dug you patina paint jobs so there's that! Great video and build! Thanks!
Not really, that car is 1000% rat. It will never be pretty enough to be classified as hot, and many builders have taken stuff like this to become street rods.
Bright Yellow means "I'll run ya to the next light, fella" I like it Bob. Finally got to 100* here Bob. Texas in July. Weathermen say 115*. But my Thermometer says 96. Thermometer is 20 yrs older then the weatherman. So I'm going with that. Yellow Bob. Can I get 2 votes?
In my opinion, the perfect color for the Model A coupe has always been yellow or red and my pick is yellow. Just sayin'. Of course I grew up in the era when we built street rods, not rat rods so we strove for perfection with the body and paint work. Wasn't any such thing as a rat rod back in them days. If someone came from the future and drove up in a rat rod we would have said, 'oh nice, so when are you going to start rebuilding it?' 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love the choice in wheels and tires.
Yes in 64 this was a dream car. But all I could afford was 47 Chevy Coupe. But the Olds engine broke the bank and the oil pan. Daylight seeking pistons uh oh! Keep it up Bob. Your doing great. Stay cool. D
That yellow on the roof is cool and original. I vote for it. It looks like Don has mounted a few tires on rims before. He made it look way to easy! Lol Looking forward to the next one for sure!
Don looks like he’s hand mounted tires on fancy wheels before. Like the grille and new wheels. Good job, Bob, Don and your supervisor, Red. Love the color. Looks like Marty Milners car been sitting in the barn for 65 years. 😮👍🇺🇸🦅
I'd say that, that is about as close to seven decades of pure hotrod experience stitched up with seven decades of pure sacrificial experience of body parts to achieve a goal as one can get. I see a little bit of Frankenstein's scars, the Wolfman's snarl, the Mummy's bandages, Vanishing Point's awesome power, American Graffiti cool and Big Daddy Ed Roth's Rat Fink customization. I simply love it! But I'm over 70 so what do I know..... The wheels are perfect. My all time favorite wheel right out of the late 60's early 70's and no color but yellow lives up to the presentation. PERFECT! Our age's define us that is for sure.
Nice technique for straightening wire. I imagine you can double triple the wire as well. When the wire twisted back on itself and created that loop you got what we call 'an a$$hol3' in the wire.
I really like the yellow with the black. Plus that leaves us with green n black or green n silver for another project. Really dig the wheels. The grill looks great. We could apply some kind of badge or insignia to the front of it yet. Just a thought. It could sit on the wires and stiffen them up some. This thing is gonna be beautiful as it is. The proportions and the stance is ideal. Red has finally whipped you guys into shape 😂.
You're knocking it out of the park! I can't find words to describe what a great video! The music just rocked! Your Rat Rod building skills are top notch! Keep it up, and what a great car this is gonna be.
Loving every episode on this build Bob. I am learning and being entertained simultaneously. Yellow with black antiquing ? Absolutely ! Just be sure to hydrate so we can keep learning from you.
Hey Bob I like that music that started playing at 7 :15. And I have been watching your vids for a few years now. My old man passed away when I was 32 and I felt I was jipped from his school of Rat rod allogie. But I'm mid 50' and now and I can't wait until I can share what I've learned. My old man used to Work for George Barris and I have picks of my dad ,Bob Ormiston working on some of these cars. He was a very good fiberglass guy and custom painter. We always owned the fastest boats and cars in our neighborhood. I grew up on Wooten Lake in Belfair Washington and people would build special built I was wat1 off boats to try and smoke us. . I rember my dad and me racing this one guy with an inline 6 Merc and his boat was made from a wood frame and 1/4 Doorskin wood. Super thin and kinda strong for the times. We were side by side and I was sitting in the passenger seat of my dad's boat and I was watching his boat quiver like it was getting the speedshakes. But he held tight and pressed on but my dad was just messing vwirh him and. Then showed him who was King of the Lake. It was so much fun back then. I still have fun as long as I don't watch the news like you all should. Love your Vids, and especially the metal work, shrinking and stretching are some things my old man never got to in depth. He'll if I didn't ask he never even thought about it. Paying bills .....Rip old man, love ya.
The Trifecta of Rat Rod building >>> RatRodBob > Rantin'RobotRed and Digin'ItDon... Great choice in the color.. ( Yellow don't make it a Lemon ) Besides.. Nothin' Kooler than Lemonade on a Hot Day. JunkYardDog has a new Bud.. ' Ol' Yeller ' !!
You're the man Rob. I love the tires and rims. Yellow, IDK. I used to like yellow. Not sure it'll work here. But you always amaze with your artistic ways. I wish I knew your history. You are very knowledgeable. You rebuild engines, trannies, rear ends and all. Something I always wished I could do. My little brains doesn't allow it though. Great job.
Lookin bad ass Sir 👍🇺🇸
Man is that cool or what? I was thinkin American Graffiti when you started this build. Then out comes the yellow! Awesome job as always!!! Keep em comin Bob,watchin and learnin!!!!
Man that grill, those wheels, "fire" as the kids say Bob!
I could watch you paint grass as long as you narrated it. Best channel ever
I worked for 37 years at Ford Motor Company as a electrician.
We had a saying there
I have done so much with so little that I am now qualified to do anything with nothing
You proved that with all your great builds
Thanks love watching
That’s awesome…. Almost like a American Graffiti vibe if they had rat rods back then. Do the fire wall as a checkered flag 😎
Looking better every video, Bob. Yellow would not be my first choice, but I guarantee when you're done, it will be a cool ride!
That's one awesome rat Bob you need to put red to work he's always watching n talking love the channel Bob my favorite
Bob it's coming along nicely so far.
Really good video this week.
Can't wait to see more videos soon Bob. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Red & Black little Yellow thrown in . Looking good
I really like the wheel and tire combination. You and Don killed it with the tire mounting. Nice to see old school tire mounting being performed, and without using tire irons. Very impressive. This is your project Bob, paint it the way you like it. The rest of us will just be jealous
U got that right.
Bob, I really like what you’ve done with this. The yellow with black highlights is excellent thank you Bob.
Learned something today from you Bob about straightening wire. Thanks! Great work on the grill!
RRB, love the no-tools tire mounting segment along with the #9 wire tutorial including straight(ening) tips from the master! I'm a wait and see on the mellow yellow but I've always dug you patina paint jobs so there's that! Great video and build! Thanks!
Yellow with the black antiquing will be awesome on this coupe. You are the master of rat rodding Bob!
You got the John Milner look going on. NICE!!!!
That’s a HotRod Brother !! That ain’t no rat rod !! Thanks for another Brother !!
Not really, that car is 1000% rat. It will never be pretty enough to be classified as hot, and many builders have taken stuff like this to become street rods.
Resto Hot Rod Mod, whatever u want to call it, is looking sweet..! the stitches are my favorite.
Hell yes Bob. Love the yellow. Looking old school cool!!!
I highly admire and respect what you do with a pile of rusted Old shell's, your living legend, living the Dream...🤔👍🏁🇺🇲

You guys made that tire mounting look too easy 😂😂 great tips as usual Bob 👍
That yellow on the roof is cool and original. I vote for it.
It looks like Don has mounted a few tires on rims before. He made it look way to easy! Lol

Yellow/red/ orange and black always looks timeless to me classic hotrod combination.
Wheels and tires are perfect. Definitely like the look of the yellow on the roof. Gonna be cool when you're done! 👍
Yes l do love the yellow Bob , keep up the great work
Don looks like he’s hand mounted tires on fancy wheels before. Like the grille and new wheels. Good job, Bob, Don and your supervisor, Red. Love the color. Looks like Marty Milners car been sitting in the barn for 65 years. 😮👍🇺🇸🦅
Never heard of that wire trick before. Thanks!
Bob, I like the yellow with the black antiquing!
Off the chart Ole' Son.! It's a gorgeous Rat, that yellow with the shadowing is on point.
Competition orange with a flame pattern in the black antiquing would be my favorite
Those classic American's can make any car look good.
watching them mount the tires to the rims was the most amazing thing I have ever seen....legit ol' skool....🎉❤
Keep going Bob your doing it right and yes keep the yellow with black. It will all come together as long as you build it the way you see it.

Wheels and tires… knocked it outta the park!!!! That yellow is growing on me too!

All them pieces are going to be a masterpiece someday!! Preciate ya Bob!!
Yellow? Why not. Yellows a beautiful color. It's not a mainstream color like blue or black, but what a breath of fresh air.
Nice technique for straightening wire. I imagine you can double triple the wire as well.

A lot of people don't like that kind of wheels.but I like them

I agree the wheels are spot-on! So many vintage hot rods and customs are ruined by modern pimpy wheels.
