History of this world:
This survival series started on July 10th 2014 on the MCPE (Minecraft Pocket Edition) App. I had quite a few MCPE videos before this series that I recorded and edited on the iPod 4th Generation. When I finally upgraded to the iPhone 5, this was when I wanted to start a Minecraft series that will last forever! I started this series on the iPhone 5 and eventually upgraded again to the iPhone 6 Plus for more power on Ep.66. MCPE on the iPhone 6 Plus served me well for a long time until the game started updating more and became even slower. This was until I bought myself a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y700) and transferred my ongoing MCPE world to Windows 10 Edition on Ep.154. Till this day, we are still surviving and thriving with builds in this world and plan to do so far into the future!

In my opinion your videos are almost perfectly optimised for retention for the minecraft community(atleast for me). I think the reason you are only getting 20k views is because Minecraft let’s plays aren’t really trending like they used to anymore, so people aren’t actively out looking for new let’s plays to watch. But your videos are so good, I don’t get why they don’t at least get 100k, not a lot of viewers to pull from anymore. I’d say the new meta is definitely short form like shorts for example. A lot of Minecraft shorts are doing well.
I think Minecraft Lets Players nowadays do have less fans, but I think they're much more loyal.
He needs to experiment with what other big minecraft channels are doing (while keeping his world going)
If this stays the same it will stay with 20k views of loyal watchers
Just looked at even CaptainSparkles2 for example, most of his videos now get 20-40k, thats crazy low

Hey i just want to encourage you and thank you for your dedication. Don't forget that even if you struggle with youtube's algorithm, you have a solid fanbase of people who really truely appreciate what you are doing and personaly i am still blown away by your talent.
Anyone playing the game knows how intimidating it is to start a project and it's hard to manage to make it the way you wanted at first but i think you nailed it with the city. i will not get bored of it, please feel free to continue working on it for as long as you like
Been watching Dallas for a good 7/8 years I think. One of the main inspirations for me to finally move off the ps5 to PC and start UA-cam. Legend Dallas, and I hope you stick around for a while longer even with the upcoming 9-5 world.

Have you ever considered building like a “bowels to the city” underneath all that dirt you’ve placed that you’re building the city on? You have so much space for SOMETHING under there
i dont know if theres enough space but something like Tartaros 09 from portal 2 could be really cool, with a lot of big concrete pillars holding up the city with scaffolding, pipes, tarps, and girders all over the place

1. You can add a parking lot for wagons and horses.
2. You can make a pool/abandoned pool.
3. A shopping area for the residents who live there.

Dallas, you could build a landslide scene in that space that needs terraforming, offering two advantages. It could look very interesting, and provide additional rational for why the city was moved to a different location.

You should just craft the bows into dispensers without combing them you will never have to craft dispensers ever again that way 😂
Imagine having more of these tiny compact cities throughout or around the moog city and just call it different zones, have a huge sign of like Zone A, Zone B, Zone C etc on a giant wall with each zones having their own purpose and functions, but that's going to require a lot of resources
I think you should add some vegetation overgrowth. Vines hanging from roofs, moss caving in the ceilings. Makes it feel a bit cozier whilst adding age.
positive suggestion, it would make your road look more dangerous and old if you added guard rails to it and some are broken or rusty. like an old dangerous mountain background.

I've mentioned this before and I'm sure you've seen it, but you should really take a look at Control. The entire setting of the game is a giant lab/research facility and the themes and lore are some of the best I've ever seen. You'd have a field day.
Hey Dallas, as for the arena, you could make a mob fighting arena, with multiple mob farms that spawn them so you can fight mobs in it

I think I started watching you around episode 50, when there was not a new post I watched the ones before 50, so I have seen so much change and you are the reason I even want to play survival Minecraft. Useally I am on a server with mods and buddies. But I always hope to accomplish great things. When I first got Minecraft, I was 3, I think this was 2 years after launch or smth. I never played it much on my tablet, because it was my moms and I had to share with my sister when she was not using it. But when I got older I got my own tablet and took a break from Minecraft. But recently I found you videos again, this was at like 500 episodes and started to play more Minecraft then I got java and have my own survival world going

a cool antenna trick i like to use is red stone comparators, they kind of mimic a satellite dish or something

Idea: In the old SSC lab build a hole on the side of the upper part of the building and around of the hole you put some black stuff. Inside, you build some black spots to show it caught on fire and also some body parts to show an explosion happened while they were doing a experiment and it went out of hand, then because of that, they decided to shutdown that lab for every SSC operation and expriment
Some ideas for the city: a courthouse, university, mall, parking garage, and water/waste treatment plant!
Also if you go on that camping trip you mentioned… I pray that it goes well for you this time 🫡

Word of warning, you cannot uncraft Honeycomb Blocks (at least not in Java) so in your honey farm building be cautious about crafting too many blocks if you want them for wax instead of building blocks.

Idk if you need help with lore but I figure you could make it be like the mini city was made by the SSC, started as just a company city and was advertised as “the city on the hill” and because of how known the SSC became, the city grew around it and eventually became independent under it own government.

For the courtyard you should have a DIY mini soccer field like the ones kids play on in the streets with wooden fences as goals
Terraforming done quick…..make a basic ground level with dirt and throw down stacks of oak saplings. A dense section of forest can hide some odd looking landscapes

CQOTD: sorry if youve done this before, but what do you use for inspiration for your city? Do you use real cities/ buildings or fake ones? Do you have a journal where you draw ideas and then make them in your world? I know bdubs goes on walks and gets inspiration from that.

In the middle section of the buildings you could make city street markets like you might see in countries like India and Mexico.
Hey Dallas, one idea to avoid terraforming the mountain - what if you made it so the old SSC building caused some sort of corrosion/damage/explosion of some kind deep in the mountain, causing that crater. That would also add to the lore since the city would have to be abandoned due to structural integrity concerns. Idk just a thought. Love your videos!!
