GitHub Actions - Deprecating the save-state and set-output commands

If you are using the save-state or set-output workflow commands in your GitHub Actions workflows, then you need to watch this video, and go make some changes to your workflows. Those commands will be deprecated starting June 1, 2023.

Also, I misspoke. the $GITHUB_OUTPUT and $GITHUB_ENV aren't environment variables, they are temporary files. Sorry for the confusion.

@@MickeyGousset Is it possible to make a video about how to pass a multiline json string as an output from one step to another. Since there seems to be a problem when using $GITHUB_OUTPUT and $GITHUB_ENV to do that. Thanks

@@MickeyGousset Yes, after I referenced a stackoverflow post, it works by using EOF. However, I'm still facing an issue where it failed to 'echo' or 'printf' the output of the multiline json string from the previous step. It somehow interprets the content of my multiline json string coming from the output, and saying "xxx command not found" where xxx is the second line in the content of my multiline json string. But I can successfully 'echo' or 'printf' the exact same string before as an output. So maybe there's something wrong I did in between. Not sure if you could work it out.
