The wording you have chosen is excellent. I feel that Certina made a remarkable progress within the recent past: Combining simplicity and elegance is the core message Certina stands for in my perception.
I've been seeking a diver for a little while now. I've tried on at the AD; Tissot SeaStar, Longines Hydroconquest + Legend Diver, Oris Aquis + 65, Hamilton Khaki Navy and Certina DS Action. Having overlooked the Certina DS PH200 I thought heck I'll try it on. Once I did, wow, I got that feeling I've not had with the others. It's simply beautiful. I'm on the fence between blue it black but leaning towards black. Great video 👍
This watch with the gilt is just awesome. It’s pretty much a late 60’s Omega Seamaster 300 tribute, but with just enough changes to make it original. I love it.
I have certina ph200 aluminium bezel lovely red Cross hair on dial red second hand that what's missing on this watch crystal is hematite but no scratches in 6 months of use
The certina ds pH200 and 500 are in the top 10 best dive watches on the market rn no matter the price. In terms of straight up diving pedigree I think only BP, Rolex, omega, Seiko and Doxa are more significant than certina tbh possibly Mido but they're pretty even. Certinas other strengths are robustness and vintage pieces. Because they hold up so well you can usually buy a 60s or 70s vintage certina and if it's been to service once or twice since it was made 50 years ago then it works and looks like a new watch. They are very pricey though.
@@vce2103 squale made cases and components for watches. And yes they have made some very good watches too but certina was one of the brands actually competing with the big boys in improving dive watches. Their main achievement is the first 500 m water resistant watch wo a helium escape valve. The double security system is also a really neat thing they invented.
@@watchthereviewofficial thanks!! Love this watch, this will be my next piece 💯- beautiful vintage look!! My wrist is about 17.6cm, so should fit well 👍🏼👍🏼
It’s an excellent watch for sure!! But CW can’t get their logo sorted, so sad… I mean that stupid flag design?? It’s such a shame, because their watches are unbelievable… you buy their watch and logo changes every couple of years, but must say, none are as bad as the current flag mish-mash… spoils the whole watch, looks like a toy
@@vce2103 ok , I much preffere it this way, - instead of full ChWarden on left side Its getting much much better. To my op - flag doesnt hurt , and price/quality wise - its gonna be hard to beet
@@Torturro100 interesting 🤔. Without doubt the watches and bracelets are outstanding quality by CW… but yeah, even though I know they are great, I can’t get along with that ‘no history, no heritage, Indy 500 looking flag logo’ - just can’t. The original logo, at the 12 o’clock, C.Ward with London underneath - It was perfect, classic, and had a reason and a heritage… anyway, I have no doubt many people will continue to buy CW regardless, they are very popular here in the UK, and they are great watches 👍🏼👍🏼
Certina is a very underated brand.

I always considered Certina to be boring. Now I own a DS PH500M and it‘s gorgeous!
🔥
I love the Certina DS-2.
Thanks for the review. Hopefully, mine arrives tomorrow. I’ve been waiting since 6th January, for mine. After watching your review, I’m glad I waited.
You are very welcome. Enjoy your watch!
How do you like it
Certina PH200m or Squale SUB-39 Blue?
That’s a beautiful watch
I want this watch next. But I'm torn between this and Baltic...never an easy choice
Love my blue one. Very nice on a FKM strap.
yes the blue one is awesome
I have the blue on a milanese strap, great watch.
I have certina ph200 aluminium bezel lovely red Cross hair on dial red second hand that what's missing on this watch crystal is hematite but no scratches in 6 months of use
This is the newer version. Ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal
Question on the bezel action, if you tap the ceramic face of the bezel, do you get a tapping noise when the bezel contacts the watch case?
Yes there is a little flex, and a little tapping noise
@@watchthereviewofficial Such a shame, or is it charm? Who knows 😜

Squale best in this class surely… around £1,000 level, also CW, Seiko, maybe Doxa too

Looks incredible this watch, but lug-to-lug seems long, please can you tell me your wrist size??
Hi, 18cm.

thickness is 12.4mm?
it is actually 11.9....well spotted...thank you!
Certina should make a 38 and 40 of this.
If they dropped the size a tad, it would become a hit.
C65 Aquitaine Automatic from Christopher Warden - winns all the way.. look at the dial - look at the back!
wow...pretty nice watch actually......thanks for sharing I knew about CW but didn't know about the Aquitaine.

I question the movement, otherwise I'd give one a try. To me the movement is the first thing to consider, I seem to be a minority
Actually I can relate to that.

The w is silent in the word sword.
Nice copy of Blancpain…for 1/8 price 🤑
51mm lug to lug is SO disappointing...could've made them 49 and this would be perfect
