    My style of trading is all of them. Doing top down analysis helps. I can draw out my swing POI for longer term, draw out my intraday levels on daily h4 and h1, i will scalp and day trade into those POI's, depending on how price reacts on the lower timeframe at the Higher timeframe level, i will either hold for a swing/close or wait for reversal

    I have a great trend trading 1hr entry system. The thing is waiting for all things to line up can take ages. You also have to deal with more fakeouts. Now I trade 4hr breakouts. More weekly trade setups less stress. Check the charts 3-4 times per day. Caught 65 pips on GJ long yesterday 😎
    Sometimes less is more

    Tbh you made the right decision switching, from my experience and human nature, we are designed to take every opportunity we see, especially if you follow the one pair one timeframe scalping, we know less is more and with the higher timeframe, it teaches you discipline to be patient and wait, also you can risk more because there is less room for error and it gives you more freedom, no point taking 20 trades a month when you can swing a trade and add positions to it

    It takes courage to say this publicly Will. You always preached 1 tf, 1 pair, 1 set up, 1 session. And now you moved to another strategy. It is so courageous of you to say it publicly. You put your skin in the game and that is why you have my respect. I have been thinking of swing trading since February, because I didn't have a set up with my strategy since....I'm very grateful for your opinions. Thank you.

    I recently made the switch from swing trading for 5 years to scalp trading this year. I found it super difficult to swing forex pair end of 2023, my strategy, which was profitable for 2 years straight literally had a terrible hit rate. One thing I will say though, is once you have experience, switching to another style of trading is fairly easy, I am now back into profits and I like scalping better because onc I take my win, Im out of the charts for the rest of the day. I found swing trading to be more stressful for me aswell, looked at the chart too often when I had an active position

    I think a lot of people later in their trading journey make this transition. I’m working on doing the same 3 years in. There’s a lot of bullshit that occurs with trading lower timeframes like the points you mentioned 💯

      it's no such thing as timeframes, market structure, or trading strategies. It's all just fractal candles.

      @matthewhope7421 7 місяців тому

      @@juENTERTAINMENT I see what you mean 100% in terms of price action but there’s a lot of external issues that come with trading lower timeframes like spread and slippage that aren’t an issue when you have larger stops from trading higher timeframe. Things like getting stopped out from spread despite price not actually reaching your stop loss are the fine margins that can ruin your edge.

    • @MK-qh5ud

      @@matthewhope7421 Try futures if spread is the main thing. If you're doing the analysis on higher timeframe u just have to read what price is doing on the lower time frame in accordance to the POI u drew on the higher timeframe. It's quite straight forward. You will see a lot of liquidity grabs and pools on lower timeframe that should give u an idea on where price could draw to.

    It's an illusion that "it's just easier to see setups" or "when it breaks on 4h, it is clear". Ask somebody to show you random timeframe charts displayed in the same scale. You won't be able to spot the difference between 5m, 4h or 1 week chart. They are all the same in their charakter.
    It is true though that you don't need to watch out for news so much and you pay less spread/comission money.

    Dollar cost averaging on HTF's such as 8hr/12hr/D is best. Focus on your sizing(low size) as your strategy not your technicals so much. Better yet combine both. Look at your setups how an investor would.

    6:49 I’m actually adopting the same strategy as the one I watched in the video. Initially, I was trading three times a day. However, I’m now shifting towards longer time frames and limiting myself to just one trade per day. Surprisingly, that single trade yielded better results than all of my previous days with three trades.

    Swing trading is better because it puts your mind at ease since you aren't as worried about daily movements since you are expecting to hold for more than a day maybe a week or more. So it's a just set and forget type of trading and you can spend far less time looking at the charts and do other things with your life. Everything you have said is so true.
