Since recordings of interrogations can be the evidence that can make or break a case, it's good to see a police department put a bit of effort into audio/visual equipment and acoustic treatments that will help make the recording understandable.

He blows her off making her feel like he doesn't love her and/or care about how she feels. She goes home and fumes. He gets home, refuses to discuss it and thinks he can just pass out (avoid it). She is angry that even after he comes home, he won't discuss his actions, BUT chooses to blow her off and sleep. Angry at that passive aggressiveness, she refuses to let him sleep and keeps confronting and trying to get a response because - we women want to settle it - are we done? He eventually gets angry with her constantly keeping him awake demanding to talk about it so kills her. Mine was kind enough to get up out of bed, lift me bodily, place me aside and walk out of residence.
I've heard prosecutors talk about the jury perception (encouraged by TV court shows) that without slam-dunk physical evidence, any other evidence is questionably "circumstantial." Most cases are circumstantial - the preponderance of circumstance points in only one direction. For example, just because some guy's DNA is found inside a murdered rape victim doesn't mean HE killed her...just that he ejaculated in her. It is the preponderance of other circumstances - she was seen getting in his car, his telephone pinged to where the body was found, he had one of her earrings (he could say she must have lost it...that he picked it up off the sidewalk days before), etc. - that make the full case. The more physical evidence the better, but without a confession it's only ever the preponderance of circumstance, combined with physical evidence, that make the case.
2:28 9 beers, might get you some what intoxicated but not to the point of blacking out and unable to remember anything…..unless it’s the first time he ever consumed alcohol, which I seriously doubt! So why lie about that ! Other than the most obvious reason people lie, to hide their guilt !
I can't stop thinking that people who say they can'y remember killing someone are lying. That's especially true in cases where the suspect tries to hide what they did. Covering up a murder is simply not a subconscious act.
Wow, crazy case. Mike (the neighbor) is in love with Jennifer and wants for her to leave the relationship she has with her boyfriend Erick. Jennifer seems like she wants to keep Erick involved even though he sees the relationship with her as “companionship”. Erick seems to have short temper and has a history of physical violence towards her. Erick admits to the charges. All of this could’ve been avoided by realizing that trying to keep a person within a relationship never ends well. Is best to let people go whenever they express unhappiness. And also, if you’re unhappy in a relationship, leave, don’t feel like you owe anyone anything, even if you have to leave with the clothes on your back and start from zero.
Old woman immediately asks for child services. Doesn't even take her grandchild long enough to bury his mother and to, at the very least, comfort him. Why what a big heart you have grandma. 👹
All of these tragedies have a common theme. The use of drugs and uncontrollable excess alcohol use. Usually, that is also combined with an underlying form of psychosis which exacerbates the persons ability to control their inhibitions. Most individuals should be able to control themselves without blaming there actions on drugs.
Being that his memory is unclear about details, (or at least this is what he says), he should have shut his mouth and requested an attorney immediately.

Was the whole interview one hour long ? 10 hours long ? 18 hours long ? I have no doubt that a skilled detective, with a suspect in a room for hour upon hour, all the time being drip-fed a story , could get almost anyone to admit to almost any crime. On the odds of probability I think he probably did kill her. But if he had stood up for his rights and demanded a lawyer and shut the fork up in the first place, there's a good chance he could have walked free, as police had no case against him. Being drunk as a defense in INTERROGATION for not speaking is MUCH different than using being drunk as a defense in court for your actions.
Grief can't be explained it could be immediately or over time it took me two years to grieve my Dad.
I can't stop thinking that people who say they can'y remember killing someone are lying. That's especially true in cases where the suspect tries to hide what they did. Covering up a murder is simply not a subconscious act.
