Can this be done on all Saab MY03-06? Or do they need the AUX connector in the arm rest? Or do all of them from that year come with an AUX in the armrest?
If the car doesn’t have aux, it needs to be programmed with a tech2 for this to work. If it already has aux, it’s plug and play. Not all 9-3’s came with aux
Hello
Big fan and I have a question. Have tried using adapters before, but that made a lot of extra noices and weird sound. Is this sound clean and good?
yep, it's like OEM sound! thanks for the support
Is yours fusion blue? 8 have a 1.9 TiD vector which is on 199300 miles currently..50700 if she makes that is moon milage..needs lots of stuff done but definitely need a stereo solution such as this if I can keep it running and I hope to.
nice! it is midnight blue
My 2004 9-3 doesn't have an aux? If I install one do I need to program it with a tech2?
yes
Once again, thanks for posting a quality vid! 👍🏼 Could this work with 2009 9-5 Aero? 🤔
...think I miss driving my ‘06 9-3 manual! 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you 🤟🏼
Thanks! only works on 03-06 9-3's
@@AutoAutopsy Thanks 😊 for such a quick reply 🤟🏼
ARG! As I mentioned ~ miss my “06 9-3 🤦🏻♀️

Planning to buy a 08 or 09 93 aero (facelift version, but has no sat-nav), does that have an aux input to play music?
yep, 07+ came with aux standard!
Great Video. I installed it in my 04 Convertible, but now the cabin fan is not working. Any ideas of what the problem could be?
not sure; maybe you blew a fuse or didn't reconnect something
@@AutoAutopsy Thanks for the quick response. Will check the fuses. Great channel by the way!
Installed the unit successfully. Problem is it killed the sound quality on my rear speakers. No bass at all now ?
Did you accidentally change bass/fade/other audio settings during install?
No . I was curious if this was a trade off for plugging into the Aux port ?
I bought one and received it today...something interesting is the part they sent is a SP-BT02 and it looks like the one in the video but it's purple and came with a mike and and jack. Have you heard anything about this model?
i believe they have since updated it with a mic
Does it schow what Songs playing in the Sid? Are you able to Switch Songs via the Buttons on the Steering wheel?
Cheers
no, functions just as the aux does in terms of buttons
@@AutoAutopsy Then i see no reason for it😅 i have a Bluetooth Adapter plugged into the 12v Outlet in the glovebox and the aux Input. It automaticly connects to my Phone within seconds after switching on the Ignition. And it actually just costs 1/6 of the Bluetooth dongle specificly for the Saab.
Thanks for the response anyway😅✌🏻
Hello, greetings from Durham North Carolina, I like your videos and I learn a lot from them, thank you now I need some help, I'm trying to put an android stereo in my car but the harnesses are not compatible
hey. esaabparts.com sells a direct upgraded radio kit that will fit 2007+ cars
I have a 2006 9-3 Sport aaero Combi. I don't have an ashtray. Is there a way to get the steering wheel phone icon to work? Also whys the deal with the trffic radio button that doesn't work in Amwrica apparently - only Europe?
i wouldn't know
Where are you located? I'm in phx Could sure use your help with my 06 anniv edition convertible
Also in phoenix myself! I’m not really a mechanic for other people, but my good buddy at www.savingsaabs.com is also local and fixed Saabs 👍🏼 same with IMM Auto Service in Tempe
I would love to use it on my Saab 93 convertible 04 but the car doesn't have an AUX so I honestly don't know if it's worth it... and how easy can be to find some one that can eventually program it via Tech2, any suggestion is more than welcome! Great video though!
it's super simple to program the aux in with a tech2; you just need to find someone who can do it!
Do you know of any that can help, my Saab is 9-3 turbo4 sedan 2011, thank you!!
Hello, I wish you a very good accident-free driving.
Where can I get the interior gray color part on the steering wheel?
Thanks! I’m not sure what you’re referring to
Wondering if you can plug in the bluetooth but remove the cdplayer all together. I am trying to remove the cd player and ashtray and still have aux.
not sure, good question
Hi Henrik, Do you sell that device? My Saab stereo Is the same as yours but It doesn't comes with AUX or Multimedia Source programmed un it so, do I need Tech II to able It?
Another question Is that the "Check Engine" light turned on and when I scanned the car appeared the P0546 code wich is "The Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Bank 1" so, do you know if just have to change It? Or could be something else?
Best Greetings from México City.
Who’s Henrik? I answered both of your questions in the intro of the video!
Thanks for answering both of my questions and excuse me if I named you wrong. Anyway, whats your mame?
Best Regards.
Great sharing!
Too bad I have an 08. What’s a good aftermarket radio for the 08 9-3, I’ve been looking for a touchscreen radio but I don’t want to buy something that won’t fit or won’t work, do you have a recommendation on which one I should buy?
No recommendations unfortunately. Facebook has a ton of threads with aftermarket head units for 07+ cars though, so I would check there!
@@AutoAutopsy Hello for 9 3 of the eighth year will do?
super video thanks for finding this solution.
Thanks!
The problem I have is that I don´t have a saab 9-3, I have a Cadillac BLS (not sold in us) which is pretty much the same thing as its made on the same chasis. So my car doesn't have a jack and doesn´t have the same interior parts that you take out in the video,I wonder If i can install bluetooth at all on my car
great question; maybe there's some information out there on forums or facebook groups related to your car!
What source do you have to have the stereo on to be able to connect phone to it?
Aux
Did it on my friends 9-3. Can you make a video off have to change ( upgrade ) front speakers ? ;)
not really easy on the 03-06 cars; i would recommend leaving as is or upgrading to the better OEM sound system if the car is not already equipped with it
Does this let you use the steering wheel and radio controls to skip songs etc?
Not for skipping, but you can for volume controls
@@AutoAutopsy Damn, I'll stick to my 12v Bluetooth thing then lol
Im using aux to bluetooth powered by the 12v ashtray isn't that cheaper and thesame thing and without the work. The sound quality is real good.
Only problem with those is they’re a bit of an eyesore and don’t provide the same quality :( glad you like it tho!
Got the same setup but with filter on the aux cable because of the hissing sound that it makes on high volume
@@cretzubeyou oh nice tip, how do you filter the aux cable?
@@olzzon 3.5mm jack audio ground separator.. Amazon it or Google it
Where is my radio fuse located on my 06 saab
Damn. Now I'm mad. I just did an aftermaket crazy stereo and stuff and redirect speaker wires, to have a bluetooth. But lost the steering controls. And was expensive...
Was useful 3weeks ago..
Good video btw!
Ugh sorry! Hope you’re happy with the new head unit at least :)
Would have been happier to get this adapter and spend the rest of the money on better speakers. :) but thanks
To do this do I have to use a tech 2 to enable the aux?
if you don't already have it enabled, yep
Does it work with the hands free controls on the steering wheel
I use the AUx input jack in the middle console on My 06 93 V6. But I get a buzzing noise with engine revs. Any idea how to remove it??
buzzing from the aux? that's weird. maybe just try a new cable and see if that solves it
Hi, Iknow your moving away from Saab's but would this work on a 2007 9-3 Aero?
no it's only for 03-06! Im not moving away from saab at all, just selling one of the ones i have!
thanks the informative video it was very helpful 👍🏾💯
Glad to hear it
hi i have just bought a saab 93 vector sport which is amazing and my icm2 doesnt seem to turn on, what could be the issue
could be a number of things; id start with fuses
Hey! I have a Saab 93 Aero 04 too. But the buttons for the traction control and all the other ones are in the bottom. Nothing happens when i press them! Guess something behind is broken, but how do i fix that?? Hope ill get a answer! Good video // from sweden :D
Pull that panel off. Maybe it’s somehow disconnected or there’s a fuse for that specific panel that has gone bad
@@AutoAutopsy But the buttons is like non pressable 😂😂, I'll try and see again
I have same model but arc convertible
I need to install aux, will it work? I already took cable from one in the junk
..also my door speakers dont work, do you know why?
Could be a fuse. You’ll need to have a tech2 activate the feature
How long did it take for you all to receive the Blue tooth device from Saabplus? I ordered it back on 29 May and never got a confirmation email or any form of acknowledgement on my order, but they charged me for the item. Also they never responded to my follow up email yesterday on the order. Was this your all’s experience?
no; it did take me about two weeks to get mine though! Maybe try sending another email...kinda strange :(
did you ever get your device? I'm in the same boat
@@adriandude85 i ordered on the tenth and received a confirmation email. the next day i received a shipping confirmation and have my tracking number. they never sent a tracking number to u?
Hey. Do you think it would be possible to install Bluetooth in a -98 Saab 9000 CSE?
i don't know, sorry.
Hi, may you tell something about those wheels ? Measure (18 or 19), ET, brand, rim width measurement, thanks in advance
These are 18” and are sport edition p3 :)
@@AutoAutopsy many thanks ;)
Hi. Will this bluetooth adapter also connect contact details from mobile phone?
no.
My 2004 9-3 aero has the other radio unit (without Aux) , does this also work with my car?
Yes, although you'll need to program the Aux with a tech2
Does steering wheel buttons like next song etc work with this device?
nope :/
but it doesn't with an aux cord either
Man so helpful
🙌🏼
Would this work on my 2007 Saab 9-3?
Negative. I meant to mention that in the video, sorry!
@@AutoAutopsy it's alright, maybe u can do a video, I've got a saab 9-3 2007 TTID, it has all the buttons for Bluetooth control and calling ect on the steering wheel. But u can't actually use any of it. If you have like a solution for this in the future. It would be useful. Keep up the good work!
just put in an aftermarket headunit
I'd jus remove the shitty head unit and install a double din DVD player. Get 1 made in 2020 and it'll give you all your car performance at live time. Like boost and battery volt. Or intake temps and all the fun stuff
Does this work on the OG 9-3?
ah just saw it doesn't.. :)
nahhh
i gotta replace my cup holder tray.. can i slide under and remove that bit in this process too?
Yes
Yep! ua-cam.com/video/QUd9I-Bt3v0/v-deo.html
I have a 2005 model...and the one thing I don’t like about the car is the rubbish sound system. I currently play my music through AUX and Bluetooth adapter. Does this sound much better than quality through the AUX?
I played a sound clip in the video so you can tell for yourself! The quality seems better
I also have an ’05 and yeah, the bluetooth-AUX adapter makes it sound quite a bit worse than just the AUX-cord, super excited for my module to arrive!
does it support audio controls via steering wheel?
volume, yes. "next"? No; but neither does the aux
What size rims and tires do you have on your Saab?
sport edition p3 18x8
would aux need to be enabled on mine? it isnt currently unfortunately
yes, it needs to be enabled
@@AutoAutopsy hopefully will do that Wednesday. If I can find someone where I am with a tech 2
@@icestormgaming9357 good luck
hay man would this fit my 2009 saab tid?
Read the title of the video 😅 there’s a lot of BT options out there for 07+ cars. There’s even a few UA-cam videos
Your car have Navigation?
Same with 9.3 cabrio without Navigation / 2003 ??????
As I said in the video, this will work with any 03-06 9-3
So if you have no aux installed with tech 2 you can't have bluetooth ?
i'm not sure what you're asking; this replaces the aux function. if your car didn't come with aux from factory, a tech2 is needed to activate it
Will this work on my 02 93 convertible
The title of the video will answer that question for you
So you have Bluetooth but no Aux now?
yes, it replaces aux
Can you tell me more about that steering wheel?
It’s the aero steering wheel
Its work on saab 9-3 2007?!
Is there a way to make the AUX work too?
no, it replaces the aux
