Excellent proof! I am undecided between this TOKAI ues78 and the IBANEZ AS93. What do you think about it? I am looking for a guitar that is similar in sound to the 335 GIBSON. If I bought the TOKAI UES78 I thought of replacing the mechanics with Gotoh SD90-SL (self-locking) and replacing the pick ups with Tokai PAF Vintage MK2S which are those mounted on the TOKAI UES198 TB (high-end Japanese guitar for about 2500 euros) . What do you think of the upgrade? Thanks for the test and your answers.
Its Tokai all the way for me, but to be fair to yourself maybe try to find an Ibanez to try then play the Tokai, it isn't always about sound and tone you may feel more comfortable with one or the other too. Regards Graham.
Great guitar, great review, and you guys are a great laugh!
The PUs sound full fat and meaty for an affordable guitar. Wonder what amp you were hooked into.
Une guitare qui a le Mojo!
Just ordered an older version from Ebay. Hard to find 2nd hand .
What does that tell you ? People want to keep hold of them.
