Chris, this is fantastic! I absolutely love the semi-abstract approach. Please keep creating more in this spontaneous style-it’s so inspiring and sparks even more ideas to explore this beautiful medium. Thanks so much for sharing this!
@@BalajiPadmanaban-u7m Hi Balaji, I’m glad you liked it. I enjoy painting in this style myself, so will definitely do more in the near future. All the best, Chris
Pretty sure I know that boat. Are you are Riverside Park in Gillingham? On the peninsula out to Horrid Hill? And yeah, the painting. It's a style that creates "happy little accidents" and once you spot that the accident today is a huge herd of elephants in the sky, you can't unsee it and the painting takes on a whole new character.
Thankyou so much Chris, amazing how you get done with a painting so quickly. Even after 36 years of painting, my brush to paper isn't as confident as yours. Fantastic work as always, and a very intriguing style. I will give this ago.
@ChrisStephenArt I've jaffa am urge to have another go with oils, but I'm holding back at the moment. That's a really good idea and can see the logic in that.
This style is unmistakably chrisstephenart 😂 ...love it so much ! By the way...I used your beautiful winter card prints in my Christmas decorations...very very nice 👍! Have a nice first weekend of Advent 🕯 🙋♀️
Great guidance throughout! And of course a stunning result. Much appreciated, thank you!
Thanks Sewall, I’m glad you like it !!

Yes, near Horrid Hill. Obviously lots of artistic license
Another lovely piece of artwork.
Thank you so much

@ChrisStephenArt do you get out much for plein air?
@elizabethsolart I try to, as much as possible. Watercolour in Spring and Summer, Oils in Autumn and Winter.

I really like painting plein air with oils. You don’t have any drying issues.
Wow... fantastic as always..... thank you
Thanks Ralph

Thanks Sabine, that’s lovely 😊
Chris, do you stretch your paper prior to painting or are you you using one of these heavyweight papers or card?
I rarely stretch paper in the studio. I occasionally stretch it for plein air. I used 140lb cotton paper
