    This is really when the show started going downhill. The lack of respect shown to Walter's character development in the writing is disappointing. He goes from respectable genius to the punching bag of the show whenever character drama is needed. Paige goes from a compassionate woman who wants to understand and connect with people like her son to an obnoxious, self righteous character with her own version of a superiority complex. She thinks she is superior to all of them in her own way because of her "EQ" but even this scene shows that she isn't. She has been waiting for two years to tell him he is wrong? What does that say about her level of pettiness and vindictiveness? Paige never really apologizes or has to deal with her actions the way the others do and while Walter is a flawed, annoying character in his own right, it got really old how often he was taken to task for being himself. At some points it started to feel like they were mocking him for his inabilities and that just feels gross when you think about the original premise of the show.

      Yeah Paige was a bitch a lot later on - and Ralph was so perfect that the connection between Walter and him being so similar was lost

      As I am almost finished Season 3, I agree with you the show's writers and subsequently the foundation of the show deteriorated. The dynamic between Paige and Walter gets lost early in the season and never fully recovers. Sure they get together at the end, but Walter is made out to be a consolation prize for her. Between her mother (though Paige denies it) and her son prodding her, Paige kind of accepts the fact that she feelings for Walter after breaking up with Tim. Tim only leaves because Paige tells him to because she doesn't want to be the reason for holding him back as per Toby. The writers should have made Paige struggle in a love triangle where she has a guy who is trying hard to romance her and another guy who doesn't want to open up to her. But her emotional connection is stronger with the latter. They should've allowed Walter to grow himself emotionally eventually yielding his sister's advice about who he really is (heart vs brain). During that evolution he opens the door to his inner thoughts and feelings with Paige.

      Paige had that potential right from S1 ep1. There was a sanctimonious inverted-snobbery and martyr/victim-princess complex about her!! The 'normie' looking down on the genius, despite her inability to communicate because she was so in touch with her fee-yuh-lings - which didn't stop her leaving a trail of emotional devastation in her wake!!

    That just broke my heart. Why the hell does she say she has waited 2 years to tell him he was wrong ?

    It pissed me off how Paige paraded her and Tim's relationship around Walter after this. She knows he loves her and also that he has a hard time connecting with people and conversing his feelings. Yes, he was wrong but she reacted horribly.

      Yup, this was my least favorite season and least favorite version of Paige. The
      writing was so inconsistent, and the plots were so cartoonish it was insulting. The constant bait and switch got to the point where I felt the writers' only goal was to piss off the fans. To add even more insult to injury, they end the final season on a cliffhanger that leaves Waige and the team frozen in a breakup that denied us loyal viewers of our happy ending. And they did this KNOWING Scorpion was on the bubble toward cancellation.

    Okay back story So Walter had these Jazz tickets and finally after constant telling from happy to ask paige to the concert walter mans up and asks her and she agrees and right then he pussies out and says for you and tim , then paige offers to stay because they might need help as a way to back out of the date with tim because she originally agreed thinking it walter but walter basically insists that they go ,then after something happens im not sure i think some talk or something and he realizes that he made a mistake and drives all the way there but when he gets there some big emergency happens and they find out he came there ,So her saying you were wrong is about her offering to stay and him not manning up to his feeling , the entire thing is weird , tbh this will they wont they stuff and the whole vibe of the show got old and i like skipped through episodes for the rest of the show .

    "You were wrong!" And yet Walter still looks at Paige like; What? Even emotionless geniuses understand plain English that's how they learn. Oh, but Walter is not emotionless, no, nada, zip, zilch, etc. He has emotions and hormones for that mater; of a thirteen year old boy who is wondering what to do with his unwrapped package.

    i don't get how paige is so mad. she doesn't like tim that much. she wanted to go to the jazz thing with walter, you can tell when he was about to ask her to go with him. she looked disappointed when he said to go with tim. she knows walter really likes her. can she not understand walter wasn't trying to sabotage her happiness? how is she so blind? he was jealous and HE wanted to make her happy. because for real, never once has paige seemed happy with tim. she didn't seem happy at Tahoe. she didn't seem happy when walter gave her and tim the tickets. she said he was "jealous," so how does she not get it? WHAT is he sabotaging? what? her minimal tiny molecule of interest in tim? she was excited when walter was going to give her the tickets to go with walter. i really hate paige in this scene.

    • @bebaios

      Yeah but when he gave the tickets for her and Tim she gave Walter the last chance to get back what he said asking him if It would have been better if she stayed there because of Toby (and clearly she intended Walter) and he answered that she'd better go so he broke her heart...now she doesn't understand why he sabotaged her because she thinks he doesn't want to stay with her

    The one thing that didn't make sense is, Walter is a genius can work his way around technology whether it is a computer or phone. How is it he leaves incriminating evidence on his phone so she can see what he did in terms of the hotel and restaurant. Seriously, he is going to cover his tracks so she won't know. But truth be told, how does he hand over the tickets to Paige and Tim when she is joyful and happy that he is finally asking her out. I mean the only thing he doesn't want is for her to say no and she doesn't come right out and say yes I will go to the festival with you. But she is so excited it is obvious. He also doesn't ask fully. Complete stupidity. I understand the apprehension around the girl you are in love with. But dude risked his life on more than a few occasions for her. Suddenly this is too overwhelming. Then Toby gives him the balls to do it. This hurt the show. A little bit of Walter getting close to Paige with Tim swinging hard to romance her would've changed the season narrative.

    • @WUDAT
      @WUDAT Рік тому +2

      Tim didn't ruin anything. The show writers didn't create the right plot/storyline for the Season which subsequently ruined the show arc and direction. It was fine to put a love interest other than Walter into the show for Paige as they did it in Season 1 (Drew). But in Season 1, they leveraged the danger for Ralph and then Walter's accident to end the storyline of Drew because that allowed Paige to recognize her and Ralph's attachment to Walter. The end of Season 2, should've created the Tim/Paige/Walter love triangle. They should've allowed Walter to go with Paige to the Jazz festival. Tim would try and up his game to get Paige while Walter struggles with expressing inner emotional thoughts to her. Paige struggles with having to choose between a normal guy who knows how to romance a lady vs this quirky very loyal caring person whom she shares a internal connection with but she can't get him to open his heart to her. Eventually getting him to do so. Shouldn't have been Ralph and her mother prodding her to get her to see her love for Walter. Walter doesn't overcome Tim to capture Paige's love, Walter could be seen as a rebound guy.
