- Uriah Heep - Salisbury (1971) [Heavy Progressive Rock] London, England United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Track #6 Side B From The Album Salisbury
Muscians
Mick Box - Guitar 🎸
Ken Hensley - Organ 🎹
David Byron - Vocals 🎤
Paul Newman - Bass 🎸
Kieth Baker - Drums 🥁
The album "Salisbury" was recorded literally in a month (October-November) of 1970 and appeared on the shelves in February of the following year, 1971, in England, and in early March in the USA. In general, the album was named after the title track "Salisbury", and the cover featured photographs of tanks. Later, the musicians said that the cover was made without their participation and consent, and they were very unhappy with it. In addition, as Mick Box recalled, that year many were very impressed by Deep Purple's composition "April", which was also recorded with an orchestra and brought the group quite good dividends. Therefore, the 16-minute composition is a kind of answer to Deep Purple.
@@Седойгрузин thanks for the review 👍 on one of my favorite bands. In the USA we got this Cover, the tanks were on the U.K. pressings. 🎶🎶🎶✌️

I didn't know that in "72.
Amigo, Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins were at Wrigley Field last night.
My day was blue and I didn't smash any pumpkins.

Killer band
Thanks for checking them out 👏🏻 🎸✌️
Ive had this CD since I was 19...to this day at the ripe old age of 50, have never listened to the last 16 min track in full. So having listened to the whole thing finally, Im quite impressed. I guess my younger ears never had the patience to sit through the whole thing 😅
Thanks for checking them out again. Cheers - WWM. 👏🎶🎶🎸✌️

It's a Ten from Len
Hey Seb, I've been forgetting to people about that live double album by Uriah Heep & it smokes, in my top 10 favorite live albums. Cheers - WWM. 👏🥁🎶🎤✌️
this album was kinda mini opera or something, n this song is one of my favs from them, having lot of proge in it too. however i didnt think that kerslake wasnt in this track/album but was the one n only lol. seems that "weed" was done on same year, n overall this era was busy for heep. i think magician´s birthday was first full heep album i heard.. back in those days when libraries had physical records still lol. cheers.

have you head of a band called “Heads Hands & Feet”? They were a British rock and rock band that formed in 1969 after the breakup of Poet and the One Man Band. They released 3 studio albums.
Hey Djraven, I've heard of them and have seen an album by them that had a train on the front cover, but know the music. I will have to check HH& F out. Thanks 👍 for telling me.
Heads Hands & Feet - "Heads, Hands and Feet" - the debut album of the British band of the same name Heads Hands & Feet, released in 1971 in the UK on Island Records (ILPS 9149) on one disc. At the same time, in the USA and Canada (SVBB-680), as well as Australia (STBB-680) on Capitol Records, it was a double album, with naturally twice as much material. In all cases, the sleeve was gatefold. Lineup: Tony Colton - vocals Ray Smith - guitar, vocals Albert Lee - guitar, dobro, vibes, moog synthesizer, vocals Mike O'Neill - piano, organ, vocals Chas Hodges - bass, banjo, fiddle, vocals Pete Gavin - drums, precussion, vibes, vocals Backing Vocals: Tony Colton, Ray Smith, Albert Lee, Mike O'Neill, Chas Hodges, Pete Gavin, Jerry Donahue, Ray Osborne Backing Vocals Arrangements by Jerry Donahue
Dear colleagues! Does anyone have any information about the group ? A virtually unknown group from Kentucky.
@@Седойгрузин Only know that they had an album out called "Solid Oak" released sometime between 69 & 72. 🎶🎶✌️
