Griffiths plan is to give humans what they want, the ultimate savior, but that only happens when ultimate despair exists, you need the ultimate evil to manifest
Damn didnt knew Junko is showing up in Berserk
Despair UPUPUPUP
Another god hand manifesting much like Griffith?
Sounds a lot like Garou
@@cubethepixel3025 exactly what I thought lmao
Griffith's plan is for people to see him as the hero that Guts actually is.
Yup, Griffith is your typical politician.
@@davelehti4000 Griffith 2024!!!
smity smity I disagree. Griffith was always extremely charismatic and I never got the feeling he was jealous of Guts or wishing to be more like him. The relationship between the two is very complicated and Griffith ultimately chose his dream/ambition over his friendship with/love for Guts.
Exactly, he was jealous of Guts from the start.
@@fabriziorossi4695 Griffith denied himself human emotions like friendship and love. Guts just happened to be that target for his outlet of emotions and neediness. I always thought he was gay for guts but now I think it was just family kind of love
I could be wrong about Griffith’s love for guts
Small correction here: Griffith did not only reintroduce malevolent astral entities. You can see unicorns as well as an elf in the Blast.
Interesting so benevolent creatures CAN ride the World Tree into the physical world without needing a Spirit Tree to help them manifest. I wonder if Puck's association with all the nevative energy of Guts's brand and sword and the Behelit itself will let him remanifest when the others who are so used to just the Spirit Tree's purified energy would have a harder time.
But it happened when other spirit trees still existed in many parts of the world. Now Griffith & godhands have a total monopoly access to astral planes via arguably the one & only (titanic) spirit tree, which is also an apostle-made one btw...
@@crozraven I am not sure about that I think that tree lets out a LOT of astral energy that others can ride on.
Griffith doesn’t care if unicorns had a rave while in his kingdom let alone if they slipped in. But maybe you’re right, maybe some neutral creatures came in.

She disappeared because her booty is from an other plan of existance.

I actually never thought chitch died, I always thought her flower grew back in the fields and she lived with her kind there and I think the last chapter might support that idea
It doesn't necesarily support her flower growing back but DOES support that they just go back to the astral realm and keep their souls intact when they do so. And don't seem to get sucked into the Vortex, if they WERE doomed to the vortex Danan would be a lot less calm.
@@DIEGhostfish
I think only sacrifices and apostles go to the vortex the other souls and creatures go into a different layer of the astral plane
What about vargas?
@@Noah_Aizen Killed by apostle and so utterly hateful of the apostle he would give up his place in any paradise to get his revenge. Guts was uncomfortable around him for a reason, he stank of Griffith right before the eclipse.
@@GILGAMESH069 I mean, the Vortex seems made solely of tortured human souls.
The idea of falconia as massive bait for the ultimate sacrifice is…. Yikes, guts bro where you at
I’m actually excited to see new chapters from Griffith’s point of view.
I really like this theory as it touches on an aspect of the berserk world that I feel gets overlooked by too many people, the power of humanities collective unconscious. The further this story progresses the more I understand why the Idea of Evil "revealed too much" and was cut; it basically spells out the source of the godhands power and what may/will be what undoes them. They only exist because humanity subconsciously desires them, and their actions, Griffith's included, have been focused around perpetuating this frame of mind that feeds their existence.
What makes the godhand so powerful is that they're less physical beings and more of an IDEA, and like an idea, you can't physically kill one, it only dies when people no longer believe in it. It's what I feel explains Griffith's "destiny" and how everything goes his way, Griffith the Messiah is an idea now, so the way fate seems to always go his way is because his followers collective consciousness is so strong that they will it so; the flow of causality is influenced by the collective unconscious.
All this to say this is what I believe is going to be how Griffith and the godhand are defeated, in short it's going to come down to humanity's collective consciousness being influenced enough that it weakens the godhand's influence over them and I believe Guts and his party are going to have a hand in that as they represent what humanity is capable of without the need for a savior like Griffith
exactly i think shierke who has story with themes alligned with this will be the catalyst to change people
Looking back at this from the Idea of Evil it did reveal far too much. I'm now glad that it was removed.
yea ive been thinking abt this. the power of love and friendship could truly be the key to defeating griffith lol
Something to keep in mind is the 4 astral kings showed up at the island when Griffith left. As the deeper parts of the astral world come up the ones that were too deep to reach the physical world easily are now shallower than before
I was wondering about that.
Shoutout to best girl Chitch
Could we maybe get a monster manual video for Borkoff, the Apostle that devoured the hand of Guts himself? How would things go if they met again, would Guts even remember him?
Good question, If you did, I’m sure he of all people would. That’d be cool to see
He’s in pandemonium in Falconia. Guts should run into him once he chases down Griffith

imo we are about to get into the "overcome Guts trauma arc", and by the end of it, we gonna get to see casca and griffith... he might be able to deceive Casca thought, she might or might not be friend by the next time we see her after that and if she gets convinced by him of what he has built there is "good" she might even be Guts enemy for a time.
ngl if casca becomes Guts enemy im gonna get so mad
I feel like if Isma is gonna disappear, Puck is probably going to as well.
It would be neat if he started to disappear, but somehow Guts just looking at him saves him or something.
He does have more experience with non spirit tree Astral entities. He may figure out how to sustain his presence in the physical world via the worldtree itself without a spirit tree as intermediary.
He's taking another L on that one. We all know it.

Guts just needs to really really believe in puck. And remember all those good times of puck stalking and Harrassing him, refusing to leave him alone. I’m sure that will be enough for guts to want him to stay while he’s mourning over his (temporary) loss of casca
@@whitedragoness23 He's been with Guts so long.. maybe Guts is like his tree now. (I'm totally expecting Puck to be gone tho sorry guys)
appreciate your perspective on these chapters, it fills in the gaps as far as what I understand.
Man you explain all this so flawlessly it's epic thank you very much.
I love how much this situational dependence upon powerful evil forces (the Apostles), that Griffith has generated by merging the world with the astral realm, adds to what the apostles and Godhand can be seen as representing in a real world historical sense. That being said, not all of the creatures introduced into the world from the astral realm are hostile. I remember seeing certain panels of elves interacting with children during the whole intro to the Fantasia arc. It just seems that the newfound presence of monsters in the world outweighs the presence of those more positive beings.
It's basically a family feud game with every thought in order of occurrence frequency at once
It gets even crazier when you realize what exactly is the thing that BROUGHT Chitch, and Flora's tree, and Danan's tree into the real world.
It's death. Something has to die or be sacrificed to materialize these things.
-Skull Knight sacrificed "the original lords of the island" to bring Danan's tree into the world.
-Chitch had a long line of individual prisoners.
-I wonder what had to die for Flora's tree.. was it a battle ground? Or did Flora herself have to sacrifice something?
Even Falconia itself seems to have sprung up in the wake of a bunch of death, although it seems it had more to do with Ganishka's death and Skull Knight's sword and all that, than just a simple sacrifice.
I am not so sure about that. I don't think skull knight ever says he killed the Fomorians (I'm calling them that because that's basically what they are, dark beings who predated the Children of Danan in irish myth and were driven underground)
@@DIEGhostfish He never explicitly says "I killed those people" but it is heavily implied.
I mean, it's either him or Void who did it. But the whole "the end of a foolish king" and just the fact that he was a man who conquered the entire known world seems to heavily imply that Skull Knight was the conqueror of the island.
@@ToneSherpa I feel that spirit tree loooong predated Gaiseric.
I'm not sure about your theory, but if flora sacrificed something, it probably has to do with the reason she can't leave her tree. She probably sacrificed her material body or something
@@melz410 I was actually thinking something similar
Excellent interpretation and explanation! It really highlights the brilliant writing of Berserk!
I had really great plans for my future but after i decided to read beserk for the first time one week ago I had added a much greater task for my life than anything before: staying alive until Berserk ends (in 10 years or more bruh).
Can you believe how much of a cliffhanger this was to me to see all this happen??? I almost lost my sanity.
Something to add in regards about the merrows disappearing is that no merrow appeared before the Shiva incident. They appeared just right after, at the same time it was said that elfhelm appeared in the physical world after the incident. Finally, the merrows knew the path to wlfhelm, so it seems that they actually are somehow attached to the island, so it is coherent to expect they would dissapear as well.
Hello Ryan, 3 things i want your opinions about :
- on this chapter there is a panel where u can see the 4 magic elements, like when shierke use them as shield maybe. What about it ?
- i thought guts would get a power up, sad it's not. Do you think he will get something ?
- same remark, he couldn't land one blow on griffith with his sword, how can he hurt him in a futur fight without power up ?
Thanks for your answer
He probably has to access his inner beast of darkness and use the berserker armor
@@SunDogGod It's still not enough if he cant even strike Griffith. He needs to upgrade The Dragonslayer as well. Killing the Sea God probably powereed it up but not enough
Thank you!!! I dont know why ppl think Dannan took them anywhere.
What is really sad is that after the eclipse Guts and the whole team travelled all this path and threats to cure Casca. When they finally achieved their goal a few hours later griffith come and steal all the labour and stuff. griffith won't have been able to recover Casca's mind without the help of guts' team.
Those chitch chapters be like "remember when Guts had two eyes?"
Damn this was concise
Great vid
The Apostles actually look a lot like how angels are depicted in the Bible, so seeing the population begin to see them as saviors is horrifying.
What the soundtrack name and from the background?
Is it possible for chich’s little plot of land (full of flower blossoms) to become a new source of a spirit tree?
Will the disappearing magical creatures return to the realm of berserk hell to balance / fight of the souls of darkness?
great video
1:34 I love how guts has a kids body, but a grown ass man’s head
So the astral creatures would have seen the humans dissapear? Also, do you think the island astral beings could later come through the world tree? Or do you think the world tree by-passes their levels?
We saw Puck's desapear at the moment when when we see Gust's sword (in almost the last pages of the chapter) and we can see a little wind of one of the creature desapearing, I'm kind of sure that this fantasy animal could be Puck desapearing.
Yo just got into Beserk bro I just wnnna know what’s the plan for vmeto after the eclipse event what does he do with other 5 where do they go
With how powerful negative ideation is, it has me curious on what will be used to induce positive ideation and keep it as a constant. Denis Leary has said happiness are mostly fleeting moments, and since a teen that's rang true for me. Could be a pessimistic ideology for me of course, but it has me thinking maybe it's going to be a reconstructive therapy style situation to bring those positive creatures back?
what if guts' behelit summons the godhand on falconia?
i assume guts and his party will be going there to rescue casca now, maybe something between him and griffith could happen, which could lead to it's activation
I don't think so
I like this theory of there being potentially countless layers of astral planes, because one thing in my MInd truly cement s this theory ; daemons. Flora lived on as a daemon as do most all humans with great magical attunement do, yet no hint of daemons have popped up yet as constants that now physically or at
Least permanently exist in the actual Berserk world. I think the astral roar brought many astral creatures fully into the physical world , while also pulling others closer but not fully into it. This is especially applicable to the god Hand and to Daemons.
Of course there are countless of astral planes as some of it also created & exist from human minds. I would even say that each godhands have their own territory of astral planes (as seen in some panels from the manga). This is especially evident with Slan hold a dominion of "qlipoth," back in troll horde arc.
I would say that the roots or branches of spirit trees are the bridges over this countless astral planes. Now we only have one (titanic) spirit tree in the physical realm & it's an "apostle-made" one...
What about Rickert and his party?! We might switch perspectives and see what's going on with them..
Now that's magic is gone, we can use Rickert's rocket launcher to bombed Griffith ass.
Amazing
I would love a future panel where we see that the Demon Sword actually injured Griffith when Guts tried to slay him, the same way it injured that rebel fog apostle.
It feels like the spirit trees act as some sort of anchor for the astral spirits to physically manifest but we'll have to see what the future plot has to say about them.
So… behelits work like the spirits trees but they transport the physical into the astral then? Maybe there’s a connection or purposeful resemblance
I bet there is at least one spirit tree in bakiraka territory too (maybe even the main one). Soon Griffith will try to take that one too.
Hopefully I want to see what plan griffith has
Puck has strong ties to the human world I think he’s safe. Thankfully Morda is a human like Shierke so I see her sticking around and becoming Isidro’s side piece.
Nah, she has a cute crush on Guts. Isidro is a mere fool to her lol
Ryan is a simp for goth girl, wonder why ( . Y . )
I agree all the witches are safe, but can they use magic still? And I’m sure morda has the power of sexiness, this activates a barrier making her safe from all forms of harm
Nobody noticed the panel with the four elemental kings under skull knight's "what a calamity" line
No but somebody told me lol
I think Schierke will be one of the ones that can linger bc of her tether to Guts.
Guts himself is like a spirit tree🤔 yea..I can totally see him being a unique spirit tree and many spiritual beings relying on his strength
shierrke is a human
A pizza party! Can't wait!
When it'll come the time for you to sacrifice, you're gonna have a bad time figuring out you can only sacrifice what you love
Everyone thinking Griffith took Casca so the moonlight boy doesn't go far off from Falconia again... But... The moonlight boy does not only want to see Casca.. but he also wants to see Guts.. right? I mean... Its obvious he loves Guts also.... So... He will still go out to find guts again I'm SURE.. but.... I'm worried about how Guts will react seeing the moonlight boy again...🤔 But another thing... The moonlight boy is kinda fucking everything up though... Like.. by coming to elfhelm to find Casca and Guts the moonlight boy lead Griffith straight to elfhelm... Moonlight boy be like..."if your evil ass had trouble finding your way to elfhelm, Griffith, I'll take you there.. follow meeee..." 😒
If anyone can use that to their advantage, I feel it’d be Skullknight
I do wonder what role will the moonlight boy’s love for guts will play. Maybe he will be able to stop Griffith from killing guts. So far Griffith only sees casca as a barrier and guts doesn’t even matter to him anymore.
But I would think the moonlight Boy’s love for guts would show up any time now. As the demon child he did follow guts around and as the moonlight boy he doesn’t want guts to wear the armor
@@whitedragoness23 right? I think its because obviously a child is more attached to the mother but as the child grows it becomes attached to the father alot also... So.. maybe every time we seen the moonlight boy he got older and older... So maybe it will play a bigger role as it continues...
@@brycegoude989 I can understand a child being more closer to the mother since the child because of the obvious it has to live inside of her.
But the demon child had a bad incident with guts. As soon as it was born, skull knight eggs guts to kill him. Guts had been traumatized and saw the demon child as a demon. The demon child then shows some caution when he’s the moonlight boy and Keeps his distance. But he does love his dad he tries to get the amour off Daddy Guts.
Griffith might think he has gotten rid of all his emotions to guts. But the demon child might resurface emotions for guts. I think they are just a bit hidden because the demon child is a bit scared of guts.
I like your theory but I think you are missing key aspects to this whole ordeals. But before I propose my theory, I like to explain in the simple terms on the key roles of "behelit" & "spirit tree."
Behelit is like a "gate" to the astral world. It can open the astral world of abyss itself but it can only activated via causality & in a ritualistic manners. Basically it's inconvenience for Griffith & Godhands for what they are trying to achieve
.
Meanwhile we have "Spirit tree." Spirit tree can be best described as a "bridge" the astral worlds itself. It's a far more effective transformation & connection between material & spiritual realms.
The of course the grand plan theory. I think it's about "MONOPOLY." Godhands are the very "elites" that have the exclusive privileges to a forced insidious "gates" like behelits. Now with the Ganishka world tree aka the "apostle" spirit tree be the only remaining spirit tree in the world itself, they have the monopoly of total control of the astral worlds connection. This is signifying the ultimate goal of their god of the abyss aka the "ultimate causality." I still personally do not know what godhands (especially Void) wanna do with the "Ultimate Causality," but it make so much sense if you think it in such macro way, with everything they did for a millennia or so, so far.
coincidencely (or not?), I think this whole scenario actually becoming so similar with Elden ring, the roles of golden tree in the land in between & world tree in Berserk world. I think Miyazaki has decoded/understood this long time ago, especially when it comes to the alchemical & philosophical aspects of the whole thing.
I really recommend that you watch "Max Derrat" videos for this connection to magic & alchemy aspects.
I’ll check it out!
I can kinda see it, but I am not sure they have such total control over the world tree. I think it predates the God hand, Ganishka was just made into an effigy of the preexisting Astral or realm of ideas world tree and used to summon it fortb.
@@DIEGhostfish It could be, but I would say that I prefer to make a distinction between the "natural" spirit trees & the "apostle made" spirit tree. I interpreted The Ganishka World tree as something of a mutated invasive species, forcefully taking over its environment, as the fact that fantasia "bleeds" through the whole world itself.
@@crozraven No read uh one of the island issues again, they explain the difference between the Spirit Trees and the World Tree. Ganishka's death just brought the World Tree that already existed closer to the surface. Spirit Trees are parasites on the World Tree like Mistletoe is on a normal tree.

The end of berserk will be Griffith on an episode of Hot Ones.
I don't think Puck's gone. Flora's tree got burned down and Ivalera is still here. In lore reason for that might be that they can stick around once they kinda imprint on a human. At least that's my reasoning for now.

He flys of in human form to fight ganishka with zodd and only once he's out of sight he transforms into femto to kill ganishka
Basically he's pretending to be the one human who managed to allie with the monsters, gaining trust that he brought unlikely protectors

Good question, maybe she can draw on the power from other astral layers.
I believe Griffith did what he did to Casca because he knew she would be healed in elf helm!.. he knew he would connect to the demon baby and travel there!
Griffith didn’t know about the trees or Elfhelm when he raped Casca. That’s the point, it was a purely selfish act out of spite and hatred for Casca encouraging Guts to leave him again. Furthermore, Casca and Guts exist outside of causality, so Femto had no way of knowing the demon child would become his body or that she would be healed in Elfhelm.
